Moving wall objects

How come on these story games you have to put wall objects in your storage in order to move them somewhere else?
It's a pain to have to put the item in storage and then have to scroll thru all items to find it again. Especially if I accidentally drop it on the wrong spot.
Can't this get fixed?

Yes they should allow you to move around the wall objects. This would be a useful feature to have.
