I had a trade with belladonna waiting ready to be collected (by shear luck!), my castle and garden were ready to be collected from, then I had everything needed for the first new exchange. The only thing I used gems for was to speed up the last trade (and did so by mistake!), so on step 5 now.

I haven't even got to mythic essence yet (so no sapling or Dark Garden/maze) and am still busy collecting wool for Lady Greselda's dress, so I guess I'm going to have to wait to arrive at this one at some point in the future (it's not a limited time one, right?).
I'll keep plodding on with Lady Greselda (just built her castle yesterday!) and focus on finishing off the trolls then :)

This is Awesome! Thanks especially for the new tree! i have a question about trees. First part is that I have a Maple Tree that has done well for me but it takes up much room and I want the space to put the new tree. Is there a way to remove the Maple Tree from my kingdom or is it like the Storage Shed and there for good? I have tried to save or chop it and can't do either. I also got kicked out of my Kingdom after I started the Trade w/Belladonna so I freed up resources and restarted my iPad. That seems to have fixed the problem of getting booted out of my kingdom and got me off to a fresh start.

Second, since this new tree is quite expensive to purchase with gems, and takes a 2x2 space, and like many of us I must store older and seasonal items to make room in my kingdom, can this tree be stored like the fruit trees once I am full of Living Wood?

Like zoo123g I would like to know if this trade will be permanent.

I guess I either forgot or never realized that Belladonna was Ivy's sister. Is she the mystery woman?

Time will tell if it's permanent. If it isn't, then there will be something else to do with the plants, otherwise there is little point of a greenhouse I would think.

Re post above, unless in the market there is a little crafting box next in the corner, you cannot get it any other way than by gems. It looks like it's the same as the mermaid pond etc. my first collection of the Tree dropped 2 Living Wood and 1 normal wood.

Re ticket, because we have not been advised otherwise, I would think it does drop a ticket, if it doesn't I'll be back in a few hours and report back unless someone else posts.

I was starting to panic until I realized that this is a very long term goal. It may take me a month (or more!) to get all these plants grown for shipment. Then I was able to relax. There's no hurry, after all, and I can just keep chipping away at it, similar to making mythic essence. A little bit at a time. I think this is a very nice update! Good job, TL!

Did I miss something though? I must have been conked on the head with a troll club and have amnesia but I cannot figure out what you are talking about. What game timers? Now I am worried that Thurston might be leaving something out of my issue of his newsletter "The Weekly Whine".

Am I the only one who likes Belladonna's before picture that left her head off better than the one with it on? Those eyes make her look more like Griselda than Ivy. Are we going to find out that there is a secret scandal that will come to light and we will find out that Griselda and Belladonna had the same father and that Ivy and Griselda are really half sisters? Or maybe that Belladonna was really the Baron's abandoned daughter who was adopted by Ivy's parents?

Nah, I am sure we will find out that her story is much more interesting than anything I could imagine for her. I still think she has creepy eyes. I'm sure they will grow on me.

With your theories regarding whom is related to whom, it sounds like you are describing Days of Our Lives, or General Hospital. You know, Soap Operas. :). Yes I got a trade ticket, plus some tusks and feral magic from Belladonna. The pop up screen masked if there was anything else that dropped. The writing at the top of the goal to give the 20 inscriptions refers to 3 months that we will be waiting. And yes I can confirm you cannot skip giving 20 inscriptions.

I have masses of the other 2 but only received 1 of the rafflesia plant. To buy it with gems is 25 gems, so that's not going to happen 20 times! Or if not, can you please advise what the ratio or percentage chance is of getting this plant to drop. From other posts, it's very clear that some players have a lot and some have none of the rafflesia. The randomness of these types of drops sucks the fun out of the game.

So we can craft 3 or 4 times dark seeds in greenhouse, and still if we lucky enough we can get an average of 3 dark seeds everytime. That means we can grow 3 or 4 times dark plants everyday. And still if we are lucky enough to get 1 dark plant from dark garden everyday, that would be 4 or 5 dark plants everyday as a total output. to get 20 inscriptions, we need 3 different plants in total of 340, which means 85 days if we get 4 everyday, or 68 days if we get 5 everyday. But however, you can't always get the exact kind of plant you want all the time,so let's put a 10% more work to it if not less. That's between 74 - 93 days if we are lucky. Pleased we got a trade ticket for the plant trade. I must be fairly lucky with the plants. I have done the first trade and still have 50 traps, 28 pitchers and 12 rafflesias and 78 dark seeds. Still a long term goal though as my limiting factor seems to be fertiliser.

I am not good at math so I am glad you did this! It appears from your calculations that a person would need to be on this without missing a collection and be very lucky in addition to finish this quest in three months.

In my quest book I have a quest called Sister Sister and it has Griselda saying something to the effect that we will look at this in three months and reevaluate. Although I was maxed out on raw resources yesterday, today I had to do the milk and eggs exchange because although I had what seemed to me to be a good start on dark plants yesterday, today I have found myself out of enough the correct balance of dark plants. I figure I will be very lucky indeed if I could do one exchange a day, and although I play a lot, I doubt that in reality I will have the correct balance of plants crafted at my two greenhouses more than once or twice a week. I am perfectly willing to accept that rate but it means that for me at least, I probably won't have the number of Inscriptions I need in 3 months. If I assume that I am an average player, spending an average number of hours a day playing Castle Story, it appears to me at least that many of us are going to have to depend on Griselda reevaluating in 3 months.

Because this is a fresh new quest we don't know yet if our knights might find the occasional Inscription as a rare drop while out questing, similar to the occasional book I get that was needed to level up my Wizard Schools and allowed me to level up a bit earlier than I would have if I relied only upon collecting from the normal places in my kingdom. I suspect we will have the occasional rare drop of an Inscription, but this is just a guess on my part at this point and I haven't seen it happen.

In any case, I suspect that I at least probably won't have collected the 20 Inscriptions I need in the next three months and I expect Griselda will reevaluate then and extend the time frame out three months from now so that those of us who need it will have enough time to collect Inscriptions. This is my current theory based upon the information I have available today and my past experience in playing Castle Story.

And what about pile of seeds? I get those maybe maybe maybe 6 a day. Not nearly enough. The conservatory, farie respite and ivy's. If i manage a faeriebilb seed craft at the greenhouse i amy get a few, but that's holding up the greenhouse.

I too have collected from places that I will need to collect for a new quest. I am sure most of us have done this and all we can do is relax and not sweat it. One of the things I really like although at times it can be frustrating, is that our individual progress is entirely unscripted, and like real life we can make mistakes and learn from them. If we loose this element of chance and always get the things we need when we want them, I will probably lose interest very quickly and my Kingdom will start growing virtual cobwebs in the corners because I will be spending my time playing games that are based on luck because I personally enjoy these types of games the best. Plus what would we have to complain about if everything worked exactly as we wanted them to?

Just because this is a long term goal we will likely be mentioning it many times before we are all done with it.

It's under Grow Dark Plant. After you collect from Greenhouse you will either get Glimmer trap, pitcher or rafflesia.

Oh, you are so right and I totally missed it! There does seem to be a propensity for faces in trees and I agree they are cute cute cute!

I knew there was a reason that although I love my new tree it seemed a bit much when I placed mine next to my Goddess Tree and I needed to rotate it so the face didn't show to make it look balanced.

I really appreciate it when people make posts stating the obvious, because while it may be obvious to most people, I somehow miss the obvious more often than not and I read the forums looking for great comments like these that give me ah ha moments. Before I started reading this forum I was ignorant of many things, and the information I see posted greatly enriches not only my enjoyment of playing the game, but saves me much embarrassment because I find that someone has posted my question and there is a good answer, so I don't need to ask for an explanation!

I love the new tree, the new lengthy quest and the unveiling of our mystery woman and she even seems to have lost the mad serial ****er eyes when I last saw her! May 2014 should go down in CS history as one of the most Epic for updates.

Are you getting any glimmer fragments, shards or dark plants when you collect from it? If not, I'd upgrade cause you need every stitch of shard or fragment you can lay your hands on for this quest.

We don't know yet, although it it probably safe to assume we'll hear more from Belladonna and that it is likely future questlines will require having at least started this one.
But I guess for now you can just stock up on dark plants and just begin the quest when you get close to maxing on glimmertrap plants.

(I know part 5 cant be skipped, but if you spend a LOT of gems, you can do it, with speeding up the trades and buying plants for gems.)

So I don't want to go there for a long time. I want the story to continue towards the coastline, building a port, & sending trades/adventures across water.

That's why they are called random drops. You get them, or you don't. Just to clarify, I was referring to the 'Send Belladonna Plants' trade that refers to this specific quest, where you get inscriptions.

You may be referring to the Bellandonna trade withs rats tails, living wood etc for the Fortubpne Teller tent. Completely different quest. Cheers

Anyone else having trouble growing glimmer trap plants? I've grown about 10 plants from dark seeds in the last couple of days and I've only gotten one and I only had one. At this rate I'll need to grow 100 plants to get the 10 I need for just one trade and that would mean literally thousands for all the inscriptions needed. That wouldn't mean long term; that would be loooooooooooooong term. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Me too! In addition to the fertilizer shortage (which sounds almost as strange as 'You can't hold more fertilizer') Has anyone found themselves having to take a good look at their resource management techniques when during the five hour wait to exchange the dark plants for an inscription? I try to keep common items like milk, eggs, bacon, hides and fish close to being topped off and usually try to keep the trade in those items fairly constant. I find that when I replace a milk & egg exchange with a dark plant exchange I place myself in stasis on nearly every resource and have actually had to search for items to collect. This was compounded when I resurned after a full recharge with 40 energy was waiting, collected another 20 from Wizard Schools, cleared my buildings then I leveled up unexpectedly and found myself with nowhere to use the 80+ energy I found in my possession. I headed off a similar situation yesterday by doing two exchanges between the dark plant exchange, but the level up kinda snuck up on me.

Has anyone else found a paradigm shift in resource management occurring in their kingdom since we got this neat new quest! Can anyone offer suggestions to use up an excess of energy when your inventory is bursting at the seams and you can't even chop wood, mine stone, or even collect water without wasting it? I finally decided to have the Baron give me a random item that unless it is a rare drop I may not need it when the Baron shows up. That didn't really help much. It used up some things but didn't seem like a great move in retrospect.

I never thought to need to ask, but what would you do if your kingdom was fully expanded, you had no room for common items except for an egg here a bacon there, and you found yourself with significant extra energy?

There is a 10 gem +experience reward shown on the first page of this thread and also in our quest book for completing 20 exchanges in the Sister, Sister quest. Although it has been stated that we can't buy our way through this one, it seems to be technically possible if a person pays up the dark plants in the exchange, sends it off, then spends again to finish early x 20 times. I doubt that even most of us that buy through will be willing to pay the cost in gems that it would take to buy this off in the third day of the quest, but if they do there is a clearly indicated reward waiting.

That TL didn't state the obvious about the end of a very long quest doesn't seem sneaky to me, especially since those of us who have this quest in our quest books can easily see what the reward for giving 20 Inscriptions to Griselda will be. It was also posted that Aggwynn was not posting the full information this week.

Why all the complaints not even three full days into what Griselda says may be revisited in three months? What's the hurry? We were told this is a long term quest. Is the thinking that we will all come to a dead stop and the world will pass us by if out of ten tries for a certain plant we don't always get the one's we want when we want them? That is what will make this an excellent long term quest!

I expect this will take me well over three months if I never miss a trade when possible and I don't put that kind of expectation on myself, so for me it may be six months or more. I am fine with that if that's what it takes.

I expect that we will get a bundle for purchase in July or August or maybe even sooner that contains either a number of plants ready to send on x Exchanges, or containing x Inscriptions for x$ and maybe a Living Tree thrown in.

I look at this quest as a great alternative to expanding, for experienced players who have finished expanding into the dark corners of our kingdoms. When I finished the last group of expansions I was also working on leveling both Wizard School to level 5. Since I completed those which were long term goals, I had nothing to look forward to doing in game except for the next part of ongoing weekly quests. We have all had rapid paced short quests coming to us weekly for months. Now we have a new long term quest. While I admit to a momentary feeling of dismay when I saw the math on this, I see the potential for a great long term quest we can do in the background.

Does anyone really think TL will leave us all hanging out growing dark plants for the next three months? i don't. I suspect that at least more than half of us are done with long quests and looking for more. We got more this week. May is not even half over and it was supposed to be EPIC! It has been so far and this week the Inscriptions are new and different. Am I the only one who expects a continuing of the storyline next week that will put this Inscription quest on the back burner as something we do between the more exciting weekly quests?

Let's give this a week or two before the serious bellyaching begins? We already know it will be revisited in the future. I would agree that this would be a lot for the reward if this was the whole pie, but I suspect this will be the slice on our back burners come this time next week, and we will be doing a lot more exciting stuff than sprouting seeds! Really! Keep the faith good neighbors, do you think this is all there is after the big drumroll? TL only gave us something to do with stuff we weren't using and couldn't have possibly have enough saved up even if we were maxed out. This quest requires fresh plants and no one has a significant head start even if they were full of everything. TL has done it again! I see this quest as an incredible long term background quest so most of us don't sit here with empty quest books.

I find that when I replace a milk & egg exchange with a dark plant exchange I place myself in stasis on nearly every resource and have actually had to search for items to collect. This was compounded when I resurned after a full recharge with 40 energy was waiting, collected another 20 from Wizard Schools, cleared my buildings then I leveled up unexpectedly and found myself with nowhere to use the 80+ energy I found in my possession. I headed off a similar situation yesterday by doing two exchanges between the dark plant exchange, but the level up kinda snuck up on me.

Has anyone else found a paradigm shift in resource management occurring in their kingdom since we got this neat new quest! Can anyone offer suggestions to use up an excess of energy when your inventory is bursting at the seams and you can't even chop wood, mine stone, or even collect water without wasting it? I finally decided to have the Baron give me a random item that unless it is a rare drop I may not need it when the Baron shows up. That didn't really help much. It used up some things but didn't seem like a great move in retrospect.

I never thought to need to ask, but what would you do if your kingdom was fully expanded, you had no room for common items except for an egg here a bacon there, and you found yourself with significant extra energy?

I never seem to have any problem using up an overflow of energy, even 150+
Water. With all the things requiring water and doing the jewellers exchange often, I can always collect from my 14 wells and ponds.
Tomatoes. Trying to get rid of catfish, I'm often low on tomatoes which only take 10 min to grow, excellent for a sudden energy overflow.
Eggs and milk. When my exchange is held up (Agnes, I'm looking at you!) It's time to get cooking. Noodles and ice cream are the best. Then I collect from my 20 chickens and 18 cows.
Mushrooms. I can't believe I was maxed on mushrooms for almost a year! Now I'm always in need of them for the feral lands feast and greenhouse. I have 8 mushroom circles out.
Wood. I also can't believe I used to be maxed on wood! I chop dead trees and spend excess energy buying and watering sap trees.
Pouring the energy into petals, glimmerdust and mushrooms and cooking up floral glow and vital extract needed to ake the 20 energy fairie elixir in the greenhouse.

14 wells and ponds? I have 4 wells and five regular ponds and the Swampy Pond in my kingdom and I seem to be full of water most of the time. I don't use my Mermaid Pond because it takes up room that I need right now. I find myself crafting Mythic Essence when I won't be home for awhile. I think I had ten bottles in inventory the last time I checked on it. I doubt I will need that much or more, but this game is full of surprises. I might want to consider getting either some new wells or ponds or a few more of both. Thanks for the great advice!

Just completed my second trade but did NOT get an inscription. No it wasn't a synch issue. I'm not impressed. It takes an undeliverable amount of time and effort to craft for this and no inscription t. If this happens again I will have to call this game quits most likely, which is sad. I have enjoyed it. Seriously just getting one inscription is bad, not having the resources drop and no way to make the seeds is ridiculous on its own if it is going to take months to complete but not getting the required drop is just wrong, wrong, wrong.

Yes, you may have a bug if you didn't get an Inscription. I thought that I didn't get one either on the first time did the exchange, but I found it in my inventory even though I missed seeing it drop. Is the Inscription listed in the flash of the list telling what was given with the drop? I have done it three times since I got the Sister, Sister quest, but only found it once in my inventory and while I saw the trade ticket pop out, I don't recall what the inscription looks like or even if it is in the list, but I know I've received one for every quest because it shows up on the countdown in my quest book when I push the quest button. Can someone who knows how post a picture if possible of that second or two when we see the list and the little pictures of what we collected? It would require someone with quicker reflexes than I possess to snap a picture of that rare moment. Maybe if we could see how the Inscription presents in that list, we will know what we are looking for. I am still not sure what it looks like at the moment it drops although I have one I got from my last trip that I haven't turned in yet. So yes, I have questioned if it was a rare drop, and discovered I got one for each exchange, but it is easy to miss and get moved to a handy hiding place in my inventory.

This may be true as I have read elsewhere that drop rates may be increased when an item is needed for a current quest. I have been getting more Rafflesia as well, but in my case I suspect it is because I am now actively crafting to make fresh plants for this quest so it may be that the overall drop rase hasn't changed but I am actively crafting as soon as I can to make dark plants for this quest. I might also notice an increase in them because I am keeping my greenhouses working overtime to make sprouts, while before this I was not using them very often. But yes, I have found more since this quest began regardless of the reason. Awesome!

Sorry for two posts in a row, but I mess up when I try to make one post reply to two different posts. I expect experience will help me get the hang of it.

I agree with what you've said here even though I kind of like it many others don't after less than a week into it, and I am wondering, is this truly something that everyone must complete no matter how onerous they find it, or is this long term quest aimed at those of us who were becoming frustrated with not having a quest book in the corner? Can someone simply not participate in dark plant exchanges if they have other matters to tend to or even if they just don't like to do this part?

I guess what I am asking is does this quest exist as a barrier to continuing on with the main storyline, therefore mandatory, or is it a snub to keep people like me busy and will end with the gem and experience reward or shortly thereafter? If it is not a stub aimed at giving the quest-less a long term quest to keep busy in the down time between exciting short quests is there going to be a door back to the main storyline if it does prove to be something that many, maybe most can't see themselves ever finishing?

Is there word from Team Lava about these concerns yet, or will we have to wait and see where the storyline takes us?

I can't get a pitcher plant I end up getting trap plant mostly. Now I don't have enough of the glimmer items. So I have to wait for that. Yes, this goal is time consuming and it will take three months or more at the rate I'm going.

It's really fine with me to have this kind of non-goal goal. It gives me something to do with the seeds and glimmerbits that come from the gate and Lady G's castle. I figure I'll be lucky to send out one exchange a week! That's cool. I'm kinda enjoying having a break from all the intensive goals we've had nonstop over the past few months. It's good, it's different, it's low key. TL rarely takes a misstep in game play, IMO.

glimmer gate has a 2hrs timer. you get most of your fragments from there.

Hi 55lee55, I dont mind if a quest is long, and takes a lot of stocked items or so. It is fun, ok. The only thing I complain is the "reward" of the quest. 10 gems for an at least 3 months long quest, really? When I loose 10-20 gems regularly because of gemtraps? Do you really think 10 gems are a notable reward for making it thru?

If the reward would be opening a new tradeline, or building up a 3rd kitchen, or building up a new building or decoration or whatever (also, this way your neighbours can see that you completed the quest), that would be a fair reward for such a long time goal.

Again, I am not against long term goals. I regularly advice TL that they should run long term goals (my advice was an unique building, that cost a lot, such as 99 mithrils or so, and also upgrades would cost a lot - that would be a nice adventure for old players). My only complain is, that if a long time goal goes for nothing, then the goal itself becomes pointless.

You can get all the fertilizer you need from cows! Glimmer parts occationally drop from Greseldas garden.

In addition to this, I think the requirements for forging adamant should change. There is no way to craft it with this quest line active unless you want tragically misuse inventory.

Yup. That's a problem! I'm going to be maxed on mithril in a couple of days. I've done the adamant forge twice now but that's out now until this dark plant thing gets done, which will be months. Meanwhile, I bought a mithril dragon when it came out so I could boost my adamant numbers. It's a booger trying to keep all these things in balance! With the vast quantities of glimmerbits now going to the dark plants, there's now a huge imbalance. I'm short on fragments the most. They'll prolly come out with a new item, a Glimmer Vacumn, to suck more bits out of the woods. It'll be in the stores for 120 gems.

I'm not really mad, it's just when you get a nice rhythm happening, something comes along and changes it!

Also I sent out a trade on Thursday with the flowers I already had on hand. Had enough for two trades. When I collected the next day, no inscription so I thought I might have sent the wrong trade. I sent out another and made sure I did the correct one. When it came back no inscription. Thought maybe I was suppose to get the inscription somewhere else so came here to read and couldn't find any other place to get it so went back to send out another trade and realized I didn't have enough plants, which was strange since I had enough to do two trades and if I had sent out the wrong one at first then should have enough for at least one more. These are good questions, ConnectFire611! I remember someone from TL indicating that while there are no immediate plans to change the drop rates in general, and that the drop rates are never decreased, but that sometimes TL increases drop rates when a particular item is needed for a new quest.

Although there are several different items needed to initiate an exchange of dark plants for an Inscription, I don't support increasing the drop rate for Dark Seeds, because they can be crafted. Likewise, I don't see a compelling reason for raising the drop rates for anything other than fertilizer because the whole reasoning behind having a long quest like this is that it is needs to challenging for everyone, which means that there has to be somewhat of a strain on resources so that there is a reasonable expectation that it will take some time to complete.

I consider fertilizer to be a basic stocked ingredient, and also the least rare to obtain. By itself it has very little intrinsic value, but this quest suddenly requires massive amounts of this resource and I like others ran into a shortage almost immediately. It appears to me that fertilizer is the bottleneck here, and others may differ. Previously, the drop rate has always been comparable if not exactly the same as the drop rates for say fish, and the need for it previously was roughly in amounts again, comparable to fish, and until now I consider the drop of fertilize to be appropriate to the demand for it.

With the introduction of the Sister, Sister quest the demand for fertilizer has changed drastically. Suddenly we are asked to consistently provide fertilizer in large amounts comparable to the amounts of guaranteed drop items such as water, milk and eggs. The supply is suddenly in deficit and as this is not a one time deal, it will continue to be in deficit unless something is changed. I am being forced to make a decision to either waste large amounts of milk to obtain small amounts of fertilizer, or because the drop rate that is still apparently unchanged, I can choose to send milk and eggs out in repeated exchanges in order free up my cattle so I don't waste milk, but repeated exchanges, while freeing my cows to produce more milk so that I can hope to collect enough fertilizer, I find myself not only needing to enlarge my cattle herd, but additionally find a deficit in eggs. If it were just a matter of collecting more milk, the drop rate of fertilizer, while causing a stressful deficit during the process of collecting the other materials needed to do this quest, will likely extend the time needed to finish this quest, and while uncomfortable, I could live with it and it would not place an undue stress for me because I have a large herd of cattle and and since I am a millionaire ( In my kingdom and not in real life, darn it!) I can afford to buy more cows. I have a real estate shortage in my kingdom so some decorations would probably be in storage until completion of this quest, but that is related to my asset management priorities and everyone will have their own priorities.

What I find harder to accept gracefully is the forced deficit of eggs, an item unconnected to providing materials for this quest. Unless I am missing another outlet to draw down my milk so that I don't waste my energy, without affecting my egg supply, I will find that to avoid waste and maintain my supply of eggs I will hit this bottleneck often, at least once but more likely for me, maybe several times between Dark Plants exchanges.

I am not sure what the solution would be, but I could get behind the suggestion to raise the drop rates of fertilizer, at this time. I am equally willing to wait for next week's update because my experience in playing the storyline indicates that there is a good possibility that soon TL will provide me with alternatives that I can't predict.

Right now, in my kingdom, I see an unwieldy imbalance of assets needed to do this quest. I am uncertain about continuing to use my present asset management strategy and I see a need for change. It is probable that the change will need to come from me and the way I manage my kingdom. I would like to see equity in fertilizer because I am in a bottleneck and right now it feels like I am being asked to repeatedly spend a limited resource in amounts more regularly required of me when I am asked for a guaranteed drop like milk.

Ultimately, I will need to solve my asset management issues within my kingdom without help from TL. I am stating what I observe in my kingdom. Your results may vary ;-)

Thought maybe I was suppose to get the inscription somewhere else so came here to read and couldn't find any other place to get it so went back to send out another trade and realized I didn't have enough plants, which was strange since I had enough to do two trades and if I had sent out the wrong one at first then should have enough for at least one more. So started crafting more. Sent one out yesterday, collected this morning and no inscription but did get a trade ticket. So officially two trades without inscriptions, unofficially probably three.

And nothing we can purchase (gems or silver) provides shards, only the gate and castle. And they do not provide nearly enough. At this rate I can do 1-2 dark seed crafts a day (10 of each piece). That results in 4-6 seeds. So Max, 2 plants.

You can get all the fertilizer you need from cows! Glimmer parts occationally drop from Greseldas garden.
I would like to know... where can I get more patience? :-D
I currently have 12 cows. Every time I collect from all of them I receive 1-2 on average. 3 if I'm really lucky. I had 4 conservatories but added 2 more. Fertilizer is there but you're going to have to waste a lot of energy to get it, and you'll need to have enough resources to collect it from on the board. Getting the glimmer parts is a whole other story. Because this quest is so daunting & monotonous, I've decided to put it on the back burner. I'd rather work on maxing out my expansion permits than a long-term quest with no big payoff in the end. To each their own.

I'm with you! It's the glimmerbits, and for me, the fragments. And, your calculations hold if you get the mix/ratio of plants you need! If you end up with the wrong ratio, it'll take even longer. My only suggestion is just to keep plugging away when you get enough of something to craft the next something, and focus on your other goals. This isn't a goal you can really work on in any concentrated kind of way. Maybe TL will address the glimmerbits problem with future updates. If not, we can talk again next year. :)

Really wish I had grown more plants ahead, but there was no way of knowing that so many would be needed. I even stopped collecting from the glimmergate and let myself get maxed on shards and fragments.

With the huge requirement for glimmer parts for this quest, plus the old cap on glimmer parts which was 30-40 for shards and fragments, it would be nice to have a one time bulk gift for all the glimmer parts I collected in the past that I couldn't keep/use.

In addition to this, I think the requirements for forging adamant should change. There is no way to craft it with this quest line active unless you want tragically misuse inventory.

I have the same problem. A week ago I was able to keep my shards/fragments close to max. I collect from the gate every two hours but now my resources have been depleted by making the dark seeds.

I have 91 mithril in stock and have been forging adamant to keep it below max but now I can't. I was happy to pay the gems to buy 2 mithril dragons so that I didn't go short of mithril but now I am in a situation where I will either just have to waste the mithril or not do the Belladonna quest and because I have paid all those gems, I am not happy about wasting the mithril.

I had enough plants for 6 trades, now I'm down to waiting for the glimmer bits and making 3 plants a day.
I was wondering if TL would bring out a gem glimmer waterfall or something for people who want to move faster through this quest... I would only buy a gem source of glimmerbits if it were really beautiful or if we needed the glimmer parts for more than this quest and adamant crafting, otherwise I'm content to learn patience :-)

Maybe Greseldas fountain could start dropping glimmer bits?

I just completed another dark plant trade and had two Belladonna inscriptions in my inventory. I am working (lol), so I didn't actually watch the collection on screen to know if I received two inscriptions from this single trade or if it was a sync issue from a prior Belladonna trade (non dark plant). Is it possible that inscriptions are now being dropped by the regular Belladonna trade?

As a note, I had been redeeming my inscriptions as I went along. This was the fourth dark plant trade for me.

I meant your own personal goals! One of mine is to max out on all glues. I've got 60 simple glues, about 30 builders paste, 25 architects paste and 35 magic cement so far. It seems all I do is make glue! I think Maguar said she finally has 99 architects paste (I'm prolly getting it wrong) and that's impressive!

I am working since a year on that goal, but not full time. With the sap tree it is gaining some steam. I also do the expansions, Belladonna or any other long time quest. The alicorn alone took me 8 month. So for me the Belladonna quest is a nice thing to do without worrying about speed. So I have a nice little quest book in my upper left corner. I feel naked without it :p

I think some people have had issues with inscriptions not showing up in their inventory. Remember that you give one to move on the with goals, and then need 20 to give. If you've already pressed give in your goal book they won't be in your inventory or vice versa. Perhaps press give another time to make it up to date and then force close.

Make sure you press the give button showing in the goal. If they are not showing, try restarting your device, then check again.

Me too! On Wednesday nights I am so excited to see the next update, but more often than not my mind is on autopilot when I wake up and click on through everything without stopping to think that I need to hold off tapping things that I know better if I think about it. Then I find myself behind most everyone else who don't try to play in their sleep.

I read the storyline again in another thread, and it gave me hope that we aren't done with this yet! We were expecting to have a new character walking our royal roads and the sneak peek let us see that it will be Belladonna. If she is here in our kingdoms are we still going to be sending dark plants to her? I am confused about so much conflicting information but maybe we will see everything in a new light after tomorrow. Until things get more settled in I am going to try to keep an open mind about this. I seem to be in the minority who like this quest, and even my patience is being tried by this quest as things stand. I got the first three trades done in a reasonable time, but have been waiting several days to gather everything I need to first grow dark seeds, then to gather the proper number of each one in order to send out another trade, and I haven't gotten there in several days. I doubt at this rate I will have 10 trades done in three months. May the spirit of story games have pity on my poor ruler!

From what I've gathered on here, it should be a trade? Is it triggered by something I haven't done yet?

General rule of thumb when stuck is to read the first page of the thread. That's what I do and it helps me. So, if you are at a goal called Sister Sister, you need to do the new Plant exchange that opened in the Exchange. You make the plants in your greenhouse and when you have enough to send, on it's completion of 5 hours, you'll get 1 inscription.

If you haven't got that goal, first trade with Belladonna with the tails one, then visit greselda, then her garden. This will unlock the new trade in the Exchange. And 3-12 months later, you'll be done! Or maybe longer... Haha

I'm good with a long term goal. It's allowing time for me to work on my expansions. I'm also trying to get all my buildings to at least level 5. I'm maxed on Mithril, Im not sure what I can do with it. I don't have a use for adamant unless needed in a building upgrade. I'm not able to craft Alicorn's. You would think so but no it shows a basket. When you collect on it after sending the plants it should give you a trade ticket and an expansion ticket and possibly other things. Then you click on the Give button and the count will go up. Although I have had it not give me the inscription and so have some others. I finally got mine a couple days later.

Then you click on the Give button and the count will go up. Although I have had it not give me the inscription and so have some others. I finally got mine a couple days later.

I read the storyline again in another thread, and it gave me hope that we aren't done with this yet! We were expecting to have a new character walking our royal roads and the sneak peek let us see that it will be Belladonna. If she is here in our kingdoms are we still going to be sending dark plants to her?

The sneak peek only showed a hint of her and said a new character would be INTRODUCED and we'd be MEETING a new character...it never actually said she would be walking our roads. So, time will tell if that actually happens or not. My guess is no since we have this additional trade with her in the Exchange, which will last for months.

I'm looking at it sorta like I looked at getting all of my badges before the knights' hall was opened. That took forever, because it was a LONG TERM GOAL and had a similar payoff in addition to opening the building (10 gems, I think).
This update is meant to fill in the gaps of doing OTHER things.

Everybody - Not sure why some of you players lose your mind when you can't finish an update in a few days... This one is clearly not meant to be finished quick so just kick back & relax. Lol

....exxxxxxcited about today's update, so. Curious about the week long event! :)

Clerk's Mistake fortune wasn't the 'broken' one (u *DO* get 2 trade tickets with that one).. The one that gives no reward (as of yet cuz it hasn't been fixed yet) is called Ivy's Hungry Tummy.

Go to the first page of this thread & see the second post by MiniLaura on how this quest for the inscriptions works.... I know a bug has been reported cuz folks aren't receiving their inscriptions properly.
(I haven't even gotten to this stage yet lol, don't even have the maze garden yet lol ...so that's the best help I can offer. Maybe someone else can answer ya better than me.) good luck. :)

Thanks for clearing this up for me! It's been a bit since I read the sneak peak, and I must have misunderstood it then and it stuck like that in my memory. :o I like your reasoning and agree that it is unlikely Belladonna or anyone else will be walking our streets in May. ;)

Do you have any guesses, or maybe we have an update for today that might get us closer to seeing how the EPIC May updates play out? It has been epic so far but we appear to have unfinished business according to the hints we saw in the May Sneak Peak. I agree with your comment about the Sister, Sister quest. I must have tried a handful of times to say what you said, but I did not do it well. You did, thanks!

Has anyone gotten an update yet? I usually get mine a bit later than some, and I am sitting on the edge of my chair waiting to get a hint of the update! I am so afraid that I will accidentally collect from a building with a long recharge, then find a half hour later that collection from whatever building I cleared is needed to get the dialog started. I rearranged some of the buildings that I clear as a habit. At least it might make me think before clicking for a few days anyway.

As always the caveat (this is only speculation and/or opinion on my part; your mileage may vary) applies;)
