No one is using my new cash register..how do I get it working?

You can't have more then one cashier. The player, or you, takes control of the cashier.
A second cashier would act as a decoration. And no, its not a bug or glitch.

You just wasted a lot of coin on a very ugly decoration. Don't feel bad, I did the same thing, thinking I would earn more XP/coin. Nope!

With I had seen this post before I bought a 2nd cash register. If you are only allowed one cashier then a cash register should not even be available to buy, unless it is a different colour/type to you already have.
TeamLava should refund us our full coins....

The same cash register is available as well as more expensive ones in case someone mistakenly sells their cash register. That way it doesn't cost too much to replace it.
