Yes!

Bat, yes. Pigglesworth, yes. Dragons, no. But these are not dependable sources. Orange trees can drop from adventures, but it's not something you can count on.

If you need the oranges for the quest which requires 2 orange cobblers in exchange for 2 gems then don't worry about it. It's not essential to complete and you can take your time doing adventures to the ancient vault and waiting for a free drop. I've been playing 15 months and I have 10 orange trees, all from adventures. Just a little patience :-)
