Free boosted breed used gold

I really wanted a diamond hybrid and the boosted breed said 200 coins. So I was trying diamond with fire until it suddenly said I didn't have enough gold. It had been using gold instead of coins so I now lost 60 gold bars! Can I get them back?

Hi Knuffe19. The event ended at 10:30am Pacific time on May 2nd. When the event ends, the Boosted Breeding feature will show the regular Gold cost.
