Gear icon jewel mania

The home screen with the gear icon does not show up on my jewel mania game. Can I fix this or figure out how to get to it? Please help!

if you are looking at a new group of islands, hit the minus sign in the top right hand corner. You should then see the gear in the bottom right hand corner.

It doesn't show groups of islands it will only show one specific island and the levels on that island.

Do you see a minus sign in top right hand corner?

No there is no minus sign in the top right corner or anywhere for that matter.

Try deleting and redownloading the game.

Please try going into an Island view, tap a game to play, press the Pause button, and then tapping on the Gear button.

When you are done, you can tap the Menu button to go back to the Island overview, you will not lose an Energy this way.
