These are trilby's, not derby hats. I wouldn't want to see a trilby like this, the cheap knockoff of a fedora. I like woven ones in Ocean Gypsy. These are derby hats.

Ic3e - I love the following, Art Museum, it's striking, I love the colour in it. Million Dollar Woman, and my absolute favourite is Pastel Song. Great colours and style! I want this outfit myself!
jojopeanut - the idea of a denim jacket is great, with a maxi dress and sandals, such a good look for summer and we are definitely missing a denim jacket from our catalogue.
I also like the idea of a fedora, I have one in cream, really nice for Summer. I also love hats. One of my neighbours has a hat display and every time I see the fascinator display in another shop I tingle green with envy. More hats would be good or a new hat display.

I like the rose skirt in post #34, it's exactly like the one I designed myself before, didn't know they actually made them.
Also the houndstooth pattered dress outfit in the picture below it is nice, though too short.

Since TL didn't have a Christmas sale, I would like it if they offered past LTOs for sale. For example, I would have loved to purchase the Mother's Day LTO from last week, but the update was late and then I was on vacation with no internet access. If it was available at Christmas, I would buy it. I would buy a lot of the old holiday decor too to use in the future. I hope TL considers this idea.

Me too, I would buy more gems if I they offered an LTO sale. Specifically I want to buy the Afternoon Picnic and Floppy Hat Display, please bring those back.

I remember that gorgeous rose skirt that you designed. This one (in the photo) is very similar. I like the NY outfit, but the shirt-tail hem is horrid. I do like the concept of a black and white houndstooth dress.

I agree that we need a hot pink dress and bag, would love to see a hot pink patent bag and pumps.
I'm really liking Rose Romance, Fushcia Summer and Wild n Pink, they are so cute! What I don't like is the dull color palette, I mean JUST pink and some other random color. I would have liked it to be all pink but it varied in shades or pink with two maybe even three accent colors. The only thing that pleases me in that department is Fushcia Summer. I LOVE her damask dress!
Oh and name changes are in order. Some of the names are a bit repetitive. Hot Pink Summer = Fushcia Summer = Summer Cutie = Turquoise Summer, y'know.

Yes I know about the names but I didn't have time to think of better names and anyway the clothes are what matters not the names.
I posted pics with just hot pink on purpose (and one light pink ) because I'd love to have a hot pink shirt, a dress, shoes and bag to mix n match with other things we have.
Also I'd love some lilac pieces, floral and a light blue or turquoise skirt.
Oh, yes. Lilac is a definite must! I so crave lilac. I also want flamingo pink, carnation pink, plum, tulip and rose red (not like actually red but like the pinkish red kinda rose red), grenadine (that's why grenadine has been showing up in my posts), I also want more orange! Orange for autumn!
And the names are kinda important, at least I think so. I think that they're important because if we didn't have names for our catalog we'd just be saying, "I like that one dress from that one catalog, y'know that floral one that's blue but not the dark blue one.".

The D&G golden catalogues are to die for. Love the fabric with the icon prints. We need more gold in our shops to match the red carpet display.
I also love the pastel winter catalogues. It's been ages since we had trousers, and it would be nice to have some other than skinny jeans. The same goes with the jackets and sweaters.
Hope they will make it to the next poll - I'll vote for both sugestions.

Edit I can see the first one,I love that the dress has a gold shine it may be too much IRL but I believe it would look very pretty designed in the game.

I love the first outfit. Also I just thought I'd mention this, it would be a good idea to change the name "Ghetto High Tops." I know you didn't write what's written on that picture, but using the word ghetto to describe this outfit can be taken as offensive. Since TL was kind enough to give us a tribal theme, I was hoping we could see some authentic african print in the game. Here are some things I found. I'm I'll try to find more later, hopefully in a variety of colors.

I like when TL has updates for cities. For example, the Paris and New York themes were two of my favorites. I'd love to see London, Madrid, Moscow, Venice/Rome, etc.
I'd also like to see more avatar eye options and some new dressing rooms. Thanks!
They actually did do London, it was a small update. London Lass and decor like the Telephone Dressing room were part of it. I would really like it if they expanded that theme! I too want fashion capital themed themes. I would absolutely love LA and San Francisco and Tokyo and Barcelona and Berlin, etc!

I'm not going to stop suggesting Electra Heart (Marina & the Diamonds) until she is on the game!!!!! Love this one, it's so delicate and cute.
And wow, the sporty mannequin is a complete and absolute copy of that picture in cakebaby's post, complete with the same shoes and scarf.
I don't like all those old sweater outfits, coat is okay, but I don't like the color, it's way overused in the game already.

And to tell you what I think of "high end" designers...I think they really suck. They have no taste or style whatsoever, they take pieces of cloth, throw them on a clothes hanger (i.e skeletal models) and then have the nerve to call that fashion. Runway "fashion" in general is complete trash in my opinion, no one dresses that horrible in real life. I much more appreciate real life fashion, what people wear in every day life (and it doesn't have to be just jeans and a t-shirt). I think that "designers" that make costly ugly clothing, just do it so they can laugh at the people who foolishy waste outrageous amount of money of their ridiculous clothing. Because what do they wear themselves? normal clothes.

High Street trends ARE inspired directly by the catwalks. Within weeks what we see on the catwalk are in the high street shops. Everyday ordinary people are wearing these clothes... yes, cheaper but undoubtedly the same colours and style.
It took me a 2 minute google search to come up with a handful of examples.
I'm in the UK and maybe this trend isn't the same in other countries, I don't know.
I work as a fashion buyer and it's certainly my experience that the high streets are directly influenced by catwalks from around the world.

I completely agree that some designers clothes are not everyday wear or affordable for most people. As a fashion house buyer I do believe that the designers, often high end fashion houses are inspiring and influencing the high streets, so despite what we may think about designers or their models (I'm actually against very thin models) so despite what we think, we are all unwittingly wearing clothes from the high street that are influenced by the catwalk designers.
Thanks CuteTali for opening an interesting debate close to my heart and my paycheck. :)
No offence meant to anyone I was just pointing out that real people do wear designer inspired fashions, making it affordable and accessible to everyone.
Obviously some of the outlandish catwalks designs don't transfer to the high street. I don't think any of the ideas I've ever posted on this forum have been outlandish or unwearable.

Not all of them a trashy. Precious Prints was a runway outfit, I remember the show. It was by a designer named Reese Spring, Track Chic (although not very popular to me) was by Marc Jacobs.
I also agree on what cake baby has been trying to say. High end fashion directly inspired middle-upper middle class clothing brands. I can't tell you how many times Forever 21 was sued by bigger name brands because of copying. Also a lot of runway things may not be popular now but may be in the future or it may blow now at the present. The short skirt was popularized in the 1920s and reintroduced in the 1960s (and made even shorter) as the miniskirt. Continuing with that, middle class women thought it was improper to have such a short hemline and stuck with their everyday midiskirt. Now the miniskirt is one of the most popular things on the market. Same story goes to jeans or trousers for women, before the 70s it was improper for middle class women but in high society it was a celebrated statement piece. People of course mellowed out since then because it soon became the norm. Who knows, your grandchildren could be rocking the Armadillo heel (refer to Alexander McQueen 2010) or ballet boots (however I don't think anyone is able to walk in them yet) or something equally Avant-garde.

I love these suggestions of yours cakebaby! and yes, some styles are inspired by their ugly runway versions, but when they bring it down to human level (not the weird alien models you see on runways) then you often end up with some really pretty designs. I really think that at least 99% of the time, the cheaper (and not necessarily cheaper material, just the more reasonable priced) version of such outfits are much prettier and classier anyway. But there's always fools with too much money who would buy anything, even if completely unflattering, just because of the name on the tag. I always check style first, then tag, no matter what kind of shop I go into. When you go out in your clothes, people will often notice how flattering and/or stylish your outfits is, rather then go and pull out the tag from inside your sweater to see where you bought it :D
I like the Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama styles in your pictures and in general I look at these two lovely ladies for style inspiration a lot more than I look at what celebrities wear and I think these are two nice examples.
The pink/orange/black ******y dress there is also so much more beautiful at the knee lengh in the third picture then the odd looking first two versions of it. It also has a better cut and shape than the other two.
The red lace dress looks lovely in the second picture, with the pattern being more even and the color being more vibrant than the first one, where something doesn't look quite right in the abdomen area.
Thanks for posting these ideas and comparisons, these are some great examples. I always find it amusing and very interesting to see such comparisons :)

Another good example of how Zara (in this case) makes a better design for a fraction of the cost of another brand, once again showing that higher priced items aren't necessarily better. Love this dress to the right btw. Same goes with the black & white Aldo shoes, they're very nice and have a more stable heel than the more expansive shoes that look very much the same. I notice this trend a lot, the lesser the price, the more functional and better design the item is.

I'd like to suggest that TL make the number of items in each order more even for each piece of the same catalog. There's always at least one item in a catalog that has way less in each order than the other items. It's annoying when one or two pieces sell out way before the others. I don't understand the point of not making them even. :confused:

Yes we're definitely missing that colors. I'd love to fill my shop with these colors and dress my avatar in these colors but there's only 1 catalogue with hot pink (Pure Amour) and I've already mastered it and all stock sold out. We need hot pink and fuchsia dress and accessories.

It annoys me when I'm trying to keep an area full with one collection but one rack keeps selling out way before the others.

I love this but I'd love it more if the sweater was a darker shade of purple, or a dark shade of red, and the skirt was a little less see through.
I don't really like the look. I'm more of a glamorous goth than a cheap stitch sweater goth. Also the sheer skirt isnt very nice. But if the sweater was actually complete and the skirt was a bit longer and a solid fabric, it'd make a nice catalog.

I love it! I don't even know why. It looks a little costumey, but some goth anime inspired catalogues would be most welcome.
