Gifts

I can't seem to send any gifts to my neighbours, even when I Go to help them out there is no gift icon.

Is there anyone else that this has happened to? I also can not ask for items or send them when my neighbours ask.

You can only send 3 gifts per day. You can receive more, up to 20 but can only send out 3. I have the same neighbors that I exchange gifts with each day.
