Need Dire Boars for Humans Just Don't Understand

Are there any other triggers for Dire Boars besides ponds & wells? I bought the one trap yesterday when I started this part of the goal and got one but haven't gotten a single one since. I've tried everything I can think of so I'd appreciate any advice.
