Do they ever give back lost gold?

My autistic son grabbed my kindle from me and pushed something and it took 200 gold for something I don't even know what. I worked very hard getting these. I had lost 100 gold a couple months ago due to a game freeze that was not my fault other then playing this game, so this is very frustrating.
