WOW, I need to pay more attention to what I'm doing...

My poor bladewing got beat up by an armor dragon an hour ago, and so when I went back to try again, I'd looked up what else is effective against armor in the arena calculator, and I picked a wild dragon without paying much attention to what was on the other side of the screen... so imagine my surprise when a tiny little cherry blossom dragon showed up!

Ah well... my Wild Dragon defeated the Cherry Dragon (it was a close thing... didn't get the critical hit until the third attack). But I'd say I'm off to a good start!

The + sign means you got a critical hit, more +'s the stronger hit...and you can get crits no matter if you use Bash or Magic. Some battles are won with B+++ (or M+++ , myself i think it doesn't matter if you use Bash or Magic) meaning you hit one Bash and it critted so good it took out opponent, while other are won with weaker crits, like BB++ or if it's a narrow win, BBB+. At least this is how i've understood ppl mean lol :)

That's a good idea, since not every player has Champs it'll be a great help. Besides, battles 1-19 posted here are usually won with any Champion Dragons, sometimes it's hard to find a nice list sorting through all the jibber jabber. ;)

One good advice imo is this: sometimes you get stuck and all logical choices of warriors get beat up when sent into arena - then it might be a good thing having a few lvl1 babies around to use in battles - in some tournaments i've had plenty of wins using itsy bitsy lil baby dragons after Champs and Diamond family has failed, weird but simple fact!:confused:

It doesn't really matter if you use bash or magic, and when/if you crit depends how lucky you got and the odds you had. So the +++ could be just a very lucky hit and you could try the same dragon with that attack and lose, or try a different attack combo and win. The dragon colors, rarity and level are the things you want to look for, that's what determines your odds. I use the same attack all the time - 2 magics, then either a bash or another magic, whatever I feel like at the time. If I have a dragon with the right colors, of the same or better rarity, and around the same level or higher, I mostly win. It's basically that simple - having the right colors even if your dragon isn't epic or ultra rare, you can still win. But even with the best dragon you always have a chance to lose - if you heal it, you can try exact same dragon 2 hours later and often win! :)

For Metal, I have suggested dragons as: red, rainbow, diamond from a list someone put up a few tourneys ago, but there wasn't anything listed for what colors to avoid.

Also, passion dragons will often do well against arctic and champion dragons. I haven't seen anything listed for passion strengths and weaknesses, though. Pure passion works the best for me, more than right or left heart.

I have bunches of dragons that aren't epic, so I use tons of lower level dragons and it is surprising how often they can win - I think level is less important than color. Still funny when the tiny ones win though - I had a level 1 aether beat a level 18 diamond once and renamed her arena! Lol, that was so lucky!

Heya everyone! I'm still behind in reporting for the last tournament, haha! I did eventually get Sentinel--I had to use ultimate on him, but that was the only ultimate. Helios and Immortal were giving me so much trouble I didn't think I'd even get as far as the final round so I'm glad I did! Anyway, on to this tourney. I don't know if I'll be able to finish because I have a very busy weekend where my ability to battle will be greatly reduced. But I always give it a go! :) If nothing else, I could use the masks.

If you have passion, try that. If not, just make sure you avoid weak colors against it: blue, white, black, tropic. Use can use rares as well as super rares, and try level 7-8 stuff - sometimes you get luckier being just a couple levels higher rather than using an epic, at least I do sometimes!

If you have passion, try that. If not, just make sure you avoid weak colors against it: blue, white, black, tropic. Use can use rares as well as super rares, and try level 7-8 stuff - sometimes you get luckier being just a couple levels higher rather than using an epic, at least I do sometimes!

Thanks for replying. I don't have passion but I took down the rainbow with a level 10 forest (barely). :) now onto Chrome!

Round 12 - Big bad defeated by Black Rose on both accounts
Round 13 - Venetian defeated by Immortal and Amazon
Round 14 - Avatar defeated by Immortal and Amazon
Round 15 Crownprice defeated by Avatar and Lightning
