Garnet trinket

Went on the two hour adventure last night, got a garnet this am, put it in the workshop for ts half hour and when I collected, just the metal part popped out! How did that happen? Anyone else?

It took me like 10 times trying to forge the trinket before it "took". It's not guaranteed because the faeries are mad and causing it to fail. Just keep trying. Hopefully, you won't have to try 10 times like a lot of us did to be successful.
