My suggestion is that since there are 2 structures from which you can collect from for stone and other rock materials, that another structure be created for wood. Perhaps it can be related to a new character, the woodsman. Just a thought.
Also. Instead of having ponds and wells as the only source of water, what about a moat. It an work the same way as walls do where when they are placed adjacent to each other they connect. This would allow for additional "protection" around your castle and add to the scenery.
