Can't clear a patch

There is a patch of land that I can't clear on the big island right above the blimp. A while ago I did have the option to clear it, but for a long time now whenever I expand the arrows don't show up on this one square even though I have cleared the whole area around it. I am on an iPhone 4S version 7.0.4 and dragon story 1.9

There are certain spots that are un expandable as the devs have reserved them in case they need additional space for new items. This thread (http://forums.teamlava.com/showthread.php?39731-Expanding) has more info.
