Help, I've been battling Paladin all day, can't beat him, any suggestions? My Diamond is lvl 9 lost. Blk knt lost.

Diamond Type, then Metal, then Champion Type.
(Edit: you have a 45% chance against a level 10 Paladin with a Level 9 Diamond - keep trying it was just a bad roll)

I wonder, if they extended the 2 days it would take, would they set a bad precedent for the future events, either we earn it of we don't, my 2 accounts are 2609 and 2006. So 4615 for my total, I have 20 hour crops due 1 hour before it ends and a timer so I can do 1 more 1 hour planting, been putting 2 hour air eggs on extra nests.

I think they have extended things in the past so it wouldn't be out of the question.
i do think they're more likely to create a sea of ragefaces by just letting the community fail, then offering the dragon by another means later.

I feel sorry for those that spent cash/gold they couldn't really afford to lose.

I want the Sphinx, but if I don't get it I don't care - I've missed plenty of dragons.

Great event, TL. I like how most of it was achievable and we have some very cool dragons now. Shame nobody will get the Sphinx. I think some people worked very hard for this. Maybe in future it would make a good flash tourney prize (just not in the next 3 weeks, ok ;) )

I earned the Cleopatra dragon earlier today. I still can't believe it because I have NEVER managed to get even a single dragon from any of the Summoning events. I'm continuing my community effort toward the Sphinx dragon, working my arena, outpost, 3 nests and 6 farms as much as I can.
I must say this event is much better than the Summonings where you need to collect three different kinds of points/parts. Adding the arena as a way to earn points and throwing in the little flash tournament with double coin rewards was a grand gesture, especially since the boss dragon was one of those Summoning prizes. LOL
As for the community prize aspect - awesome! This was brilliant, TeamLava. You were able to encourage us to play round the clock without too much frustration and agony. I also like that the prizes were a complete package of habitat, dragons & decorations, unlike the Summoning feature that only offers a pair of dragons.
All in all, the Egyptian event was very well conceptualized and implemented. I look forward to more like this in the future.

A friend of mine has been playing on the Valentine's version the past 2 weeks and hasn't collected any coins. She's been growing food and breeding dragons every day for the past two weeks. I wonder how many other players are still using the Valentine's edition, don't read these forums and are unaware of the community event or that they needed to update their version of DS? How much closer to the goal would we be if these folks had been collected coins as well?

I think that a lot of people are pushing to meet the goal- the thing to watch is that when US goes to bed, the numbers have been dropping. I collect money from my habitats while I wait to put my Athletic egg in its new home. The breeding den rewards me with ANOTHER Athletic egg. I put Water and Virtue back in the den and the timer tells me 12 hours. WINTER! There is only 11 hrs left. I'll speed him for the last couple of hours just to make sure his coins go in.

Farms will be ready to harvest in 6 hours. Time for a few 1 hr crops after that. The dragons will be happy to have some Buffbeats for a change.

So supportive, ready with an answer to your question (or at least a link to somewhere to help you) and assist with a combo for breeding, a particular dragon to defeat a tricky opponent in the arena or just general brilliance all round! And thankyou so much for your help in this community event! We all worked together and we have (almost) done it!

But honestly, there was really easy to get Cleopatra in time without any hurry. I will have over 2500 coins without any single gold speeding (and making about 3-4 quests and 5-6 battles (total, not won) in 24 hours)

Do you have the event icon on the right side of your screen? They are added to that total, not to your storage. You also have to be on the regular edition or DS, not Valentines.
