Thanks Sumercarefree, the only champion I have is Bladewing that's why he's been getting a workout this tourney lol but I didn't even think to use him against another Bladewing, blonde moment perhaps lol! I will give my Lotus & Winter a crack at him and see how they go. I only have 7 more Templar Helms left to craft my Templar Dragon so I'm really wanting to beat him so I can keep collecting as I noticed that I only have 5 more days to get him

Some used Bladewing but did not work for me. Immortal did.

Ugh...i was lucky in round 20, instead ran into trouble at 25 - but used Ultimate fairly soon, before i got too frustrated! It is improving/saving game experience for me, not hesitating to use Ultimates when things go rough! Perhaps our chances are pre-set or maybe it's more about running into a streak of bad luck - it sure isn't about s****s anyway lol - but either way it is better to spend some free gold and enjoy game, than stubbornly stay at it and lose both time and temper!

Anyway, good luck with rest of tournament, may all your enemies be in squishy-mood! :)

Thank you :) Just realized that according to the guide I have decent chances against new enemies such as Sphinx who I will meet in 15 mins. I will ultimate rnd 25 im sure. Just I saw there are 5 hard enemies and since rnd 20 I had 15% chances (what is better than 10%) I thought to fight, not ulti.

That's exactly what i do, sending Fire away constantly to look for gold in quest and reaching gold rewards in other games (just after posting i got such popup, yay), and with help from nice neighbors it works out nicely! I wouldn't be bothered buying gold to make it through tournaments, that would be taking it too far imo. And as you say, speeding up things a bit may be the better deal in long run - perhaps saving you from using Ultimates in panic just to finish in time!

Sometimes a Dragon can take 10 tries. If we have too many of these we are dead.
Anubis took at least 6 tries for me as I do not have a Quetzal or a Dark Night.
Tried breeding a Lotus and Diamond, 22 hrs. must be something quite common !
Will keep trying. Those with no Champions or Diamonds will have a harder time.

Cant say anything else than keep trying. If you have epic diamond, infinity or passion, use them as the have the highest chance with 15% to win.

If not, choose anything. Everything else has 10% chance. It depends on luck which of your dragon should be a winner.

This time ( tourney ) I have speedup every battles with one,two or 4 Gold,also speedup healing, helped me wins battles more easily than before.. No need to save Gold bar as I already bought Diamond last week.

Used amazon on most of my first 19 battles (struggled with griffin and Celtic-6 losses).
Then alternated between diamond and passion against Bladewing for 9 battles, diamond finally won.
4 battles with prism with diamond taking him down.
A couple with gold, diamond again.
Then 10 battles with sphinx alternating Bladewing and amazon, then I throw rainbow at him and one bash he was gone.
So far lost diamond to Helios.

Double Rainbow, headless, and steam punk have the best chances according to the battle calculator. Then champion types and an assortment of others like Aether, lightning, tigers eye, elf, nightmare, cyber, gold, cerebus. Good luck, CakeandPie!!

+=34-60% damage

As mentioned i just beat elements back 2 back successfully w fireworks using b. DarkAther used it as well. Others have used carnival, storm, topaz, hanukkah for wins as well as champs (amazon twice, templar immortal, ninja)

I have been fighting against Bladewing for over a day. No luck. He ****ed all my champions (6) several times, and some very rare dragons and babies (he does not even respect the babies, :P ) There is a point where it is not fun to battle any more, I would have stopped if it weren't for the egiptian coins, and in this case for the gold too.

I am not interested on the Sentinel dragon, anyway. Another champion, and it is not even super rare. Not even for the helmets since I already have one templar.

I love the egyptian game, though. I am close to 600 coins. That and my new diamond keep me interested in Dragon Story. After getting the diamond I guess I cannot complain.

Sorry, I thought you had used Kitsune. Heal up virtue. Try Kitsune if you have it. I don't have my list with me to help you further. Look at wiki battle calculator for more ideas. Doesn't matter on level at this point. They all have same chance to win if you pick out the right elements.

Hope that my main account get some luck too :)

It's very random - there are some basic stats probably, where levels and rarity are to be matched against opponent, and it actually works - at lower level fights! But, not even then it's certain that you win even if you pick best suitable dragon to fight - we all have so many idiotic losses where we send in a level 10 Champion against sone weak common dragon baby, and we still lose....it's a crappy combat system. And it works other way round too, i had a lvl 1 Air dragon beat lvl 20 Anubis earlier, after many of my strong dragons failed....illogical to say the least!

But anyway, yes sure, because of this randomness in fights a dragon can definetly win at 2nd attempt - some might even say a dragon comes out stronger after getting healed up, but personally i don't believe that.

Good luck in arena, and if it doesn't go all that well now just keep breeding and leveling, and you'll get more strong dragons that can take you further in tournaments despite all the randomness around!:)

Definitely heal and reuse your dragon. Some times if I only have two dragons that have a good chance I will continue to alternately reheal them and keep trying in battle, some time when they have just come out if heal it may only take one or two hits and they win the battle. It may take a couple of turns in the spa but give it a try. Also helps in that you don't end up with a big line-up of dragons waiting to heal.

Now hope to get a new dragon from breeding, I havent been luck in breeding since I got DA last month I only got red Lantern, tried for helios for 3 weeks and nothing, and I've been trying to get carnaval or pisces for the past week, spent lots of gold and nothing thats why I got 650 coins in egyptian event, meanwhile in my 2nd account I've been luck, got my 1st diamond, Quetzal, Mardi grass, carnaval All in the past 6 days! Hope that my main account get some luck too :)
In 2 Nd account still fighting Im in round 27, hope to finish soon !

I'm stuck fighting the level 12 Celtic, defeated probably a dozen times already. :( I don't have many dragons because I'm newish. Pretty frustrating. :(

I used Lightmare for Celtic. But others have beaten it with champion types, night elf, lightning, Quartz, Secret, and Lunar Horse. If you don't have those you could try kite, Kaleido, scorpion, eagle, comet, ruby, topaz, bat, night.
I would definitely Reheal dragons you have used before. Good luck! I hope you get him soon!

Quetzal and Mercury are the best against Anubis. Try any diamonds, forest, flower, Kitsune, virtue after that. If diamonds aren't working attack purple in Anubis. Good luck, drachenia! :)

I haven't tried level 7 eagle, fruitful. Level 6 carnival, life, island , love, scarecrow, winter games (stuck breeding for a day), wizard. Level 5 magic, firestorm, social. Level 4 poison, coral, bat. Level 3 storm, most, charm.

I used Royal. My Magic Dragon came close every time, it just wouldn't fall until I used royal. Use colors that are working the best. Good luck, chaselance! There's still plenty of time to finish! :)

I just defeated sentinal, my queztal failed but my epic diamond came out of the spa, so I sped up to battle again and there it was first bash caused major damage, then 2 more and it was over, now if I can just finish in my 2nd account, of course I have no gold there, so I can't even "buy" a win...
