-Players that completed The Blythewood Sapling Part 1 and have Faerie Respite Level 5 will be able to start this quest
Summary: The Baron destroys a piece of history. The Kingdom reconstructs lost knowledge with outside help. The Faeries get restless.

You will have to upgrade with gems if you want two trees. There's no way to craft duplicate parts to upgrade unless you use gems.

Well shoot. I had collected from two L4 Libraries, and didn't notice this required L5. I only had 1 L5 library, now I have 3. ;) Reading ahead, saw the deep mines needed to be L5 also, upgraded both my L3 deep mines to L5. Crafting more Magic Cement now while waiting for other things to happen.


This one is definitely going to be a challenge for a lot of folks. :)

These are my personal predictions for the quests (may be totally off base as these are in no way official).

1. There are four trinkets which were removed from the tree. We've already used one to upgrade the tree. The other upgrades will each require a trinket

2. The black ink, fine parchment and letter to Agnes haven't been removed from crafting. Agnes wants to work with us for the trinkets. So each trinket will involve sending something to Agnes

3. The first trinket is a water based one. The remaining ones will be earth, fire and air as these are the basic elements that make up all things and life (old view of the world)

4. The first trinket had a new adventure that was element based. Each new trinket will have a different element based adventure

Like I said these are just my personal predictions

I've never purchased any gems, yet have managed to purchase various gem-only items (e.g. wizard school x 2, barracks), and have used them to upgrade/speed up during time-limited quests back in the fall. It just takes longer to accumulate gems if you don't purchase them, but it absolutely can be done. There's ways to earn gems in the game (adventures, Sir piggy, purple cow), and various downloads of other games that give an additional easy chore to obtain significant numbers of gems. So, it takes more time, but you can absolutely get gems to purchase these items without buying them.

These are my personal predictions for the quests (may be totally off base as these are in no way official).

1. There are four trinkets which were removed from the tree. We've already used one to upgrade the tree. The other upgrades will each require a trinket

2. The black ink, fine parchment and letter to Agnes haven't been removed from crafting. Agnes wants to work with us for the trinkets. So each trinket will involve sending something to Agnes

3. The first trinket is a water based one. The remaining ones will be earth, fire and air as these are the basic elements that make up all things and life (old view of the world)

4. The first trinket had a new adventure that was element based. Each new trinket will have a different element based adventure

Like I said these are just my personal predictions

I decided to get the dragon. First unlike others I finally have enough mithril (through crafting lots of silver) to finish the adamant quest, and I see that later on i need to. Collect from a level 5 deep mine, but I have never gotten past level 2 because of the mithril requirement. I hope the dragon is going fo be worth it in the long run. Also not happy about no additional expansions. But love the game and the weekly updates.

Reminds me of when someone was designing an item for a virtual world (for the actual company) and I asked what the marine flags said and the person didn't know they were letters. No one had them put words on them. Words were added before release.

So far I think I've only seen one report stating they got 4. If its like other quests I'd say that the amount may vary each time. So possibly 2-3 adventures.

every new item that pops up ON TOP of the list in workshop/potionshop/etc.
is temporarily And bound to a goal. once the goal is completed, the item(s) disappear again
so make the most of it as you can, i crafted 6 extra letters to agnes, 61 bottles of black ink and 34 paper :)

I am only about 15 gems short of the 400 to buy the Mithral dragon.

Live wood is now an EXTREMELY rare drop :-( It used to drop pretty easily from the oak trees and now I'm not even getting it from my sawmill :-( It's near impossible to make the parchment for the Agnes letters. Can you guys please increase the drop rate at least close to what it was before? I've checked my two sawmills twice each with only wood (my sap is full). I also don't have much wood and my water is going quick because all these things need water.

I do love the quest lines :-) I just a few moments ago sent off the 3 letters to Agnes with with Silver so I'm excited to get the Lapis and start the deep sea quest :-)

I think if you're resourceful and careful with your timers (using two Magic Forges to craft two trinkets simultaneously, for example) then you can probably minimize gem cost. However, it's going to be difficult to gain enough Life Tree Trinkets without spending gems, since there is only one Royal Exchange. However, there is nothing we can do about players who decide to use gems to upgrade their duplicate tree if they decide it is worth it.

Hi Glimmergate thank you for your answer. :) to be true, old players such as me are trying to find their own goals, some times beyond the limit. Since we have more resources than others, also we are ready regularly supporting games we do like, this means ppl like me are happier spending gems on such occassions than buying 2-3 mithril dragons what everybody can do with gems (and what i do not really need coz i have more than enough mithrils)

Aggwynn did say that we're finally going to have use for Big Ruby in March, so you're probably right... it will represent element of fire ;)

Yep, ruby is in teaser thread...but I guessed ruby for fire before the teaser was posted (#165 here)... So, lapis lazuli is water, moonstone is air ... I'll update my guess for fire to a deep red garnet .. And sticking with guess for earth to be tiger's eye, hematite ... or maybe turquoise. :)

I agree. Due to losing gems accidently as soon as I get them, I've never been able to get more than 40. No hope for mithril dragon. Was hoping you could get in quest or with coins. Disappointing. Was up to 40 gems and thought I'd better use them or lose them, so bought the maple tree that drops sap. Constantly buying and chopping sap trees. I agree. Due to losing gems accidently as soon as I get them, I've never been able to get more than 40. No hope for mithril dragon. Was hoping you could get in quest or with coins. Disappointing. Was up to 40 gems and thought I'd better use them or lose them, so bought the maple tree that drops sap. Constantly buying and chopping sap trees. That used to happen to me all the time when I first started playing but I slowed down my tapping considerably and no more accidental gem losses for a long time. Take your time tapping. When you see a window pop up to speed something up just tap on a different part if the screen (I tap outside my kingdom borders if I'm near that). When I open my game in the morning, I only tap a few things and wait, then tap a few more to collect or water.
As for the mithril dragon, I could get it soon but I'm probably not even gonna buy it until I hear if it's even worth the 400 gems. There's plenty to do in my kingdom to keep me busy right now anyway.

Hi Anyuszko, are you after the second Moonstone Trinket? It is 50 Gems each for the Life Tree Trinket and the Moonstone.:)

There is no skipping(use gems) available for step 13 in quest log, you can use gems to speed up the buildings to finish the goals.

Yes that's right consume 1 potion, not 2 that were crafted at the same time. on collection together it consumed both of them hence losing one altogether. Can we get back the lost potion or compensate with the gems to skip 1 potion to send out in the castle as clearly you have to go on more than one adventure to get the required part. I will happily provide breaded fish and money. I only got 2 drops when Thurston returned the first time and you need 10. I'm in the middle of the second adventure. This was not a syncing issue either.

Would a mod please reply to this issue that has been raised by several players.

I have another neighbour who doesn't read forum have the same thing happen to her also. It's a bug to be fixed, like the other ones that have been reported when this goal was released earlier in this thread.

I have 2 in the potion shop at present. From reading all posts it appears that Thurston nicks one from you when you get to "watch what happens". Therefore if you have 2 going at the same time, He will nick one and then you will be left with one. Me thinks this is a way to slow players down, or, make people think they need to buy the mermaid pond to get mermaid scales. As, by the looks of it, you loose 20 mermaid scales for nothing when Thurston decides he wants to be a guzzler and drink your potion.

Basically, from the looks of it, you need at least 80 scales. 20 for the potion that Thurston nicks, then at least 60 for 3 adventures to get whatever of the 10 things we are chasing. If you luck out and don't get the 10 after 3 adventures, there goes another 20 for the forth adventure. Then if you don't have 10 enchanted essence up your sleeve for what comes along after that you will be chasing more mermaid scales to have the essence.

The more I think about it now after typing all of that - is - they want you to buy the pond for all the scales needed.

Call me cynical if you like, that is just my theory.

Your guess is a good as mine. I was only relaying what I was doing at that time and what I thought were the requirements and my thoughts on the excessive amount of mermaid scales needed.

I just collected my 1st potion and then got the dialogue from Thurston. Followed the next instruction and he nicked/drank it. It was in my inventory before I completed that bit and after that it was gone. It was then, and only then, that I collected the second one. It is now in my inventory.

The next step is the adventure and you still need a gill potion and the other bits. Therefore not only did Thurston nick the potion, he also took the 20 hard earned mermaid scales that made up that potion. You then need another one to even do that adventure, so another 20 scales required.

As I said previously, this goal requires at least 80 scales minimum. That is 20 Thurston steals/drinks in the first place that you cannot use, plus then at least 60 for a minimum of 3 adventures to get the 10 things needed. Once again, if you luck out and have to go on a forth to get the 10 bits, there could be another 20 gone, so that's 100 scales. Then, if you
don't have the 10 enchanted essence, required a bit later, there are more mermaid scales.

I understand the requirements needed and cannot answer why he took two of yours, that is for TL.

I still stand by my comment regarding the excessive need of scales on this bit and the very recent release of the mermaid pond.

You made 2 gill potions but Thurston guzzled one so you are then left with one.
You used one in this part of the quest:
5. Can I Breathe on Land?
* Watch what happens x 1
Rewards: 410 coins, 3 XP

That leaves one in your inventory.

You should now be on this part of the quest and can use that one potion to start your first adventure

* Go deep sea adventuring
