Right now, we receive a gift, accept it, and then it sits in our news feed so we can reciprocate. When we do, it does not leave our news feed and the list grows and grows and grows as people reciprocate to our reciprocated gifts until they finally time out after a week.
PLEASE make gift notifications completely disappear from our feed after we reciprocate them. Aside from needless clutter, when the list starts getting long with new gifts coming back from people we've reciprocated to, we lose track of who we still owe.
I beg for simplification!
