HELP!!! Stuck on goals because not geting any rat tails for awhile

Hello I need help please!
I'm level 23 and I'm stuck with 2 of my goals "Treasure Troves" and "Tabernum research anatomy" for a while now because I just can't collect enough rat tails.
I have 2 problems:
First, I can hardly attract any fungbeasts even though I'm trying to harvest wheat, corn, sugar canes, tend flowers.
Second, once the skunkpine comes I just don't get any rat tails when I defeat him!
I don't see how I'm gonna finish these goals any time soon...
And also it seems I don't get any rat tails from Ivy's hut too...
I'm desperate please help!!!

I've been getting a lot of Rat Tails from the Luvcupines. I bought 8 Pink Chickens and Knights brought me a pink round mushroom ring. Still today I am getting Pink Skunks from them. Good Luck!

I find the fangbeast comes for me when I collect strawberries as well, and lately also almost every time I collect from any cows or chickens. Good luck to you!!

I agree, this is the best way to get rat tails. I had problems getting rat tails a few weeks ago, but now I have a healthy stock of them ~85

Thanks but now it's too late since these items have been removed from the game...
And I meant skunkupines not fangbeast sorry for the confusion...
I just don't understand why I can't get any rat tails from normal skunkupines...?!

They're not a 100% drop. I forget the exact percentage, sorry.
Chopping trees, collecting sugar cane, watering mushrooms (especially the pink ones) & flowers consistently trigger skunkupines/lovekupines for me. Usually within just a few taps of each other.
