just update with my battles so far im stuck with Black Swan since 9am UK time.

my champions seems no luck beating the black swan.. which is why i hate her so much because she is very good as my opponent but when i use her for my battles she is so weak not even won any battle with me.

I LOVE the way Kami does tournaments! He HAS done it without diamonds multiple times. He has shown that a single Champion (ninja) can nearly win a tournament alone.

He has now shown that the exact opposites true, too. Champions are not necessary. That is a HUGE commitment to a "cause".

FYI - Kami has BUT ONE diamond hybrid - that being a Dark Angel he BOUGHT. He has been playing for longer than most - nearly 2 years - and, despite trying, has NOT gotten a diamond.

Kami's accomplishment(s) are intended to uplift the spirits of all who may not have diamond, champions or whatever.... It was not intended to make you feel bitter.

Please - take heart, tromalyt, you, TOO, can do just fine until a diamond comes to your island.

"Funny" thing is that myself i did better in tournaments before i had Champions - i did get a Diamond quite early that i used (was low level a good long while) which ofc did help a bit, but overall i feel the tournament lotteries really hasn't gotten easier from having 6 Champs and 2 Diamond family members...it's a failed system really.

But sure, having Champs n Diamonds can't be a bad thing, at least at lower level battles they often do good, but against higher level opponents randomness hits hard against everything imo.

Atm stuck at Teddy, thinking of Ultimating away what lil gold i have to avoid having to babysit arena all weekend :)

Ulted dynasty because I ran out of patience and figured it was okay since only one level 16+ champion in this tournament, so I shouldn't have to ult again with my diamond and champion army. But now stuck on lightmare. Had tons of problems with it in the lightmare tournament and again now.

Nic1963, dynasty has been beaten by blue/whites like ethereal, winter, ice-cream; red/greens: Forestfire, landworm, rose;
Fire, water, red/yellows: mythic, scorpion. I think blacks and pinks too. I have never beaten Champions with passion, diamonds or metals. I think pure magic has also beaten him. Good luck!

But yes it is pretty demanding, especially if both kids demand attention at the same time.

Teddy - White Yellow Super rare. So Champions are best.
If not try a Purple or Pink.
Lightning should be Good ! Kitsune, Champion Breed, Mistmoth

Thank You Kami! I have won a few tournaments, & now that I have the champions, I feel like they help a lot. Even that extra 5-10% chance helps! I couldn't have gotten here with out making it through at least 1 tournament w/no champions. And you have certainly proven that it can be done w/no Champions or Diamonds. What will your next challenge be, no green dragons? ;) I hope your efforts & hearing that many others are making it with the best dragons they have can encourage those just starting out.

I LOVE the way Kami does tournaments! He HAS done it without diamonds multiple times. He has shown that a single Champion (ninja) can nearly win a tournament alone.

He has now shown that the exact opposites true, too. Champions are not necessary. That is a HUGE commitment to a "cause".

FYI - Kami has BUT ONE diamond hybrid - that being a Dark Angel he BOUGHT. He has been playing for longer than most - nearly 2 years - and, despite trying, has NOT gotten a diamond.

Kami's accomplishment(s) are intended to uplift the spirits of all who may not have diamond, champions or whatever.... It was not intended to make you feel bitter.

Please - take heart, tromalyt, you, TOO, can do just fine until a diamond comes to your island.

Yeah, thanks but I have seen too many people having to use ultimate after trying to beat Dinasty for 2 days or more.

This is not a s**** contest. It is not like trying to score at basketball. It is a mix of having luck and good cards (dragons) At least it is how I see it. No s****s, just luck and good dragons. Now if you tell me that some people are winning one round after the other with only 4 or 6 lost rounds per tournament whereas others get stuck with Dinasty, or Paladin and lose for over 20 battles, and now if you are telling me that the dragons are not important, that you can win without using diamonds or champions, then I will have to think that for some people the dice are loaded. Not only we are playing with different dragons, but also the dice are not the same.

I am trying to play with the same dragons people are playing and winning in this tournament. Well, guess what? In this tournament I lost my first battle against Charm Lvl 1. Why I am losing battle after battle when I choose the dragons people are recommending here? I believe people is winning with those dragons. If it is not for the dragons, why is my luck always bad? Or it is because I used ultimate 3 or 4 times in the first tournament I managed to finish?

BTW, I do not believe that every dragon has a 10% chance to win. I have read about people who have lost against Dinasty for over 20 battles in a row. I do not know where the 10% chance to win comes from, but it does not fit with what I am getting. It took me over 2 days to win against Dinasty on the long tournament before this one, and one day in this tournament. I could not defeat Dinasty in the last 12 rounds tournament. The 10% chance does not fit with what I am getting.

Ulted dynasty because I ran out of patience and figured it was okay since only one level 16+ champion in this tournament, so I shouldn't have to ult again with my diamond and champion army. But now stuck on lightmare. Had tons of problems with it in the lightmare tournament and again now.

I know how you feel because i was in your shoes before and round 20 is my nemesis i always end up ultimate who ever dragon i face in that round. only this tournament i was lucky to beat the dragon..

Thank you very much DA, still stuck on Teddy though, got no Mistmoth but Aether has lost 3 times, and all of my Champions has lost, some multiple times...having lost count on how many times i've sped up arena - this battle really shows how extremely disappointing the combat lottery system can be, quite depressing really. Seen players so happy for their Champions and that's also evidence of the randomness - my Champions does win often, but counting wins/losses really doesn't make me feel that "Champion" is very correct lol....said it before - i had much smoother tournaments before i got these Champs - but well, i may just have been lucky - luck is really the great decider after all!

Anyway, tired of this, either i use Ultimate or take a break....or take a break and end up using Ultimates lol, we'll see :D

If you don't have diamonds or while they are healing, try to attack the pink colour using black, gold, fairytale, gemstone or champ. I have won with a level 5 Night before now but choose a dragon which is rarest with the best colours.

This was a nice mix of a challenge and fun. When you lose every single battle and nothing works, there is no fun at all.

I was in your on shoes most of the time especially when my dragon doesn't work but others can using the same attack & technique and dragon. Your not alone and I'm sure some of neighbor experience it too.I accept it now and move on. I told myself il carry on fighting, set myself a time frame until when I'm going to use ultimate.

Forum I really help me a lot in my battles especially during tournament and find it very interesting and Informative too. Also the good thing about it people here are very helpful in giving advice which dragon or color to use. But it's entirely up to you if you follow it or not.

Regarding amazon my battles is really tough I would say minimum of 3-4 battles each dragon even though I beat them in the past battle already still I can't beat them.that when frustration and being annoy sit in.

I will very appreciate advice for tactic against Helios thx - mostly here are results with dragons I dont have and with shich I have there is no tactic - again after long time got hold and gave 130 already eaten by just one round, so sad and depressive instead feeling happy from game :((((

You could try to attack the mythic element in which case try white, pink, fairytale or champion. Maybe also think about using babies. Good luck you still have 2 and a half days. You still have time.

Used and Ultimate against Dynasty a few tries in. I've had enough of my Arena nemesis, then I've been abusing Champions right up to Anubis now. Anubis took down Quetzal, but I'll give him another go after healing. Not sure where I'm going to put Secret if I did win him. I'm still keeping Warden and Thunderbird in storage (along with just about all Summining dragons since Halloween).

I gave up with stupid dynasty 16, always cant make it, i ultimated him. What others say here does not work for me. I did try best dragons by percentages and no any results, even more times even with different tactic, i am extremly angry on TL as they want we pay by gold.

He is probably the hardest opponent in this tourney. You only have 15% chance even with the best options. I got sick of facing him in past tourneys and quickly ultimated him. It shouldn't be any harder than that in the remaining rounds :D

Immortal took him down and now he is sitting on the nest :) I actually enjoyed this tournament compared to the last 5 I have done which have bee tournaments from hell. This was a nice mix of a challenge and fun. When you lose every single battle and nothing works, there is no fun at all.

I agree completely, they've made it too random - too little about actual s****s and tactics - for it to be fun, no matter if you win or lose really...every tournament i enter shows me that i really should try to find something that is more fun overall, but then i get a victory, win a dragon, and sure enough i go enter next one too LOL

But DS has its nice sides too, the time in between tournaments is really quality time when one can breed and feed in a relaxed manner...i think it's important to try and not take it so seriously - it's just a game, and if missing out on some dragons - so what, they're pouring new ones out constantly, and to keep up you must play more or less 24/7 or spend gold, it's just how it is set up, and if not wanting to play that way chilling out is a must (i'm trying to do that at least hehe).

Anyway, no matter what you do - gl hf! :)

Ok, I just beat gold on my first try with diamond.....but now I'm afraid to close my game after seeing 2 of you having to battle him again. Lol


I travel to the artic isles after winning and then travel back again. Also check my AH in my storage to see it is there. I've had the glitch thing happen to me this tournament....and it is very frustrating.

As soon as u win any match, flip over to ur ice age island & force server update. Will save many headaches. Mine synched up the exact moment i won, so i guess i just have rotten luck all round this tourney. Alrdy lost 2 champions to valentine.


Valentine was a nightmare round for me, took 11 tries. Got it with Black Knight in the end. Big bag and Night Elf were useless, lol

Dynasty seems to be my Nemisis aswell.
I have failed the last two or three tourneys because i got stuck on this dragon.
Funny thing, the name of Dynasty dragon has been Ryu every time.
I'm not expecting to win this tourney either which is kind of a bummer feeling.

The way tournaments are set up you must have a bunch of high level rarer dragons and loads of game time to spend, and still outcome is all random in the end, or you spend gold to get by...myself i'll try to let gold from goals and nice neighbors pile up, and then not hesitate to use it when i get stuck a bit in tourneys - the frustration really just wrecks gaming experience so it's well worth it using up some free gold imo. Problem is ofc when to spend this gold - how many rounds to lose against an opponent before using Ultimate, it is so random - in this tournament i've been stuck on the stupidest enemies while i just crushed supposedly strong ones...but i think with time it shows which ones that are usually a problem...hmm maybe...:)

Finally beat Valentine with immortal 9 B+++

(Have used ultimate several times, because I really want this dragon.. and I have really bad luck against champion and diamond types.. I was stuck on dynasty for a day, then couldn't get past helios (even though I have several dragons that should have 25% chance).. and it's always like this for me.)

Thank you it was a good try he got close. I used gold to speed it up so I could try him. Now Scorpion is waiting for the healing spa.
I like the dragon summoning it is so much more fun then these pure luck tournaments. I'll continue trying, but I'm tired of having to use ultimate all the time to finish. I always run out of time, hard to play when at work.

re heal your scorpion because i noticed that after healing and had a good spa dragon become more stronger and powerful. its works for me few times already like my diamond on her 3rd times been to healing managed to beat gold.

Just finished my tourney
30. Secret finally defeated by quetzal only 1 bash ( lost warden, immortal, bk, caesar)
This is my first victory without using ultimate spent about 10 golds to speed :)

Well if arrowheads finish on Tuesday we could speculate that there will be a new craftable replacing them. So maybe we wont be relaxing after all :)
