Ds will not work properly on HTC evo 4g

Hello, I have an HTC EVO 4G, but dragon story does not work properly. The first issue is that the app always restarts randomly for no reason in the middle of playing. (goes back to title screen.) Second issue is that I cannot add neighbors. When I try to name my island to be able to add neighbors, it either does issue #1 where it goes back to the title screen, or it freezes then I have to close the app. DS is properly updated, I just updated it. The third issue is not that big of a deal, but the app is a little slow. Please help. I would greatly appreciate it.

Unfortunately, your device meets the minimal requirements for our games and may have performance issues. As you level up, add more items and animations to your board, the game requires more resources from the device. If the device is older or has a lack of resources, it'll cause the game performance to decline.

You may be able to improve game performance by closing down background apps to free up more resources.
