finished goal not working

I finished father dearest I bought a tie collection and a tie cat but it still says I need a tie cat the only reason ithink its doing this is because I didnt get all the tools I need for the playpen plz help

I think you need to complete and build the pet bed before you will complete the quest on having a tie cat.

im having same issue, finished the Devoted Companion and the gift was the Jack Russell, when i collect from my storage and place in my store it disappeared also another goal completion i recieved a hampster car it disappered! not fare
