Fey crystals from red peppers....

I just got a fey crystal from collecting a red pepper. What gives?
Not that I'm complaining but is this normal? And does this mean that we will start needing the crystals at any time soon?

Yes, I noticed it too just started and I collect lots of peppers.

I got one from wheat this morning. I seem to think I've gotten them from crops before (just not very often), and I'm sure I had one from a well recently.

I have been getting more fey crystals recently. It may mean something new is coming and we will finally need them!!
How many do you have now? I now have 54!

I only have 19!!! I'm level 30 & pretty addicted, but then I only started last August. I sure hope if the crystals ARE needed in an up-coming goal, that the goal will be achievable by most... or at least by me. LOL

The fey crystals used to become available after you completed the corresponding shard quest, so the first one and you could get them from wells, the second from monsters, the third from crops.

So have any of you who are getting them from crops not completed the third shard (energy from crops)? If they've changed the requirement so you can get them without the shards I would think we'd be using them sooner.

As for how many, I'm closed to max with 92.

I only got two shards but got my first fey crystal from a well this morning.

I've got all shards, but never got a crystal from crops before....
