Dragon Battle Tournament : Thunderbird Dragon

Hello. I've been busy at work and I haven't been able to follow all of you. Congratulations to anyone who has finished and to anyone who has almost finished; to he others keep fighting and good luck.
My only opponent until yesterday has been Crusader, who exhausted my ninja several times, Paladin, Storm, Aether and others until my Black Knight level 8 defeated it few minutes ago.
Thanks pxie255, your results inspired me in using my BK even not in his epic form yet!

Congratulations on your many wins! DA - I certainly wish that would be the way mathematics could be interpreted but, unfortunately it is not. Every time you spin the wheel, all previous battles/results are erased and a new 90/10 is introduced. It could be 100s of battles - or 1.

Kami - I am VERY curious.... How many battles did it take for your ninja to win the tournament to the degree that he did? That is amazing results! It is easy to think you did it on the first try with each ninja battle, but I'm sure that is not the case. Perhaps others can take heart - even the mighty Kami Ninja fails occasionally, but with enough determination - he can emerge victorious. I know you, Kami, are an amazing warrior, full of determination. there are many who are and many who should be following in your footsteps, not losing heart at the first, 3rd or 15th lost battle....

If, on the other hand, your Ninja truly does won each and every time, I bow deeply to his superiority in all!

Yes, I have won 5 tournaments without using gold or even having diamond dragons, but that was before TL started putting multiple high-level Champions in each tournament. Now I am not sure it is possible.

Figment, I figured it worked this way, but I can truely say.... I am not discouraged... Pretty much curious to see how long it's going to take... I know others have also fought a dragon for an entire day.

Thanks for the advice! After battling Paladin for a day and a half (finally took him out with Passion, don't even remember how many tries it took), I was dreading Black Knight after he took out both Paladin and Passion. (Passion took out Goldwing in one try). But luckily I saw your list and Scorpion was able to take down Black Knight! Thank you!!

Finally beat Immortal on the 8th battle with level 4 Steampunk.

That's a bit better than last tournament which took 32 battles .....but there are still some very difficult dragons ahead to beat.

OH MY NO!!!!! Once again - the written word fails to communicate properly! I think what you have done is amazing. I think you are wonderfully friendly and helpful at all times!!!

My curiosity is two fold - first I am simply curious. That is how I am... I like to look at things from every angle and possibility. Secondly I know of two people - and I am sure there are many more - who admire you greatly - yet get discouraged when their ninja loses a single battle. I have explained time and time again that one loss does not mean it will lose again - nor will 4 or 6 or 10 losses mean that the next try may be the win! I was just thinking that I may be able to point out that the Kami-gambit is not without failure - it's success does not rest on some phenomenal virtual dragon, but instead more with a phenomenal real human who possesses great patience and persistence. THAT is the part of you and your battles that I find most thrilling - and you are a role model for many.....

Getting sat on by dynasty. :( I've probably tried ~15 times. Normally I would use ultimate by now but I have really been trying to convince myself not to...with so many hard dragons ahead, once you use one, it feels like you have to finish the tournament to make it worth it. Ugh. Have been using the baby brigade for awhile now.

Congratulations on your many wins! DA - I certainly wish that would be the way mathematics could be interpreted but, unfortunately it is not. Every time you spin the wheel, all previous battles/results are erased and a new 90/10 is introduced. It could be 100s of battles - or 1.

Kami - I am VERY curious.... How many battles did it take for your ninja to win the tournament to the degree that he did? That is amazing results! It is easy to think you did it on the first try with each ninja battle, but I'm sure that is not the case. Perhaps others can take heart - even the mighty Kami Ninja fails occasionally, but with enough determination - he can emerge victorious. I know you, Kami, are an amazing warrior, full of determination. there are many who are and many who should be following in your footsteps, not losing heart at the first, 3rd or 15th lost battle....

If, on the other hand, your Ninja truly does won each and every time, I bow deeply to his superiority in all!

A more accurate measure of how people are doing would be to post the loses rather than the wins and of course, we don't know if people are winning if they are using gold to speed up the arena or speed up the healing spa. It would be interesting to know what the range is for lost battles for those who complete a 30 round tournament.

I am currently on round 24 having fought 56 battles so far over the last four days (I need some sleep, lol). I have used some gold to speed arena in early rounds and one ultimate attack.


One thing I would be sure of though is that TL keep an eye on the easy wins and if it is too easy, they will just make the tournaments tougher, which I would say has happened in the last 3 of them....and I would not be surprised if it got harder still.

I have never won a battle tournament due to the fact I've never spent gold on ultimate attacks has anyone won a

I dont spend gold. I own ethereal, nightmare and warden dragons from winning tourneys. I have only used ult once (ethereal tourney) and that was bcuz i let my 5 yo son hit the buttons & not bcuz i chose to. The champion tournaments i didnt win were not bcuz i couldnt, but rather bcuz i had real life stuff going on that kept me from giving the tourneys the attention they need. This includes time, patience, attention to the boards to see what is working and what is not.

Good luck. You know just because I choose to go 22 rounds with one dragon, doesn't mean you have too! There is a time and point to Ult. Be aware of your limits- dragons, time, gold, patience, more patience..... If your having fun or not! Etc, etc, etc. I'm just being absolutely crazy and having fun. If anyone wants to play dragon roulette we can do that too.... After I send 2 more dragons at him, however! ;)

I can't believe it--I've made it through all the Champions and none of them took more than 6 tries. That is the most ridiculous luck I've ever had in a tourney. The norm is for me to spend at least one day and 15+ tries on a level 16+ Champion. I did not expect to win this tournament without gold, but it looks like I actually might! I'm afraid I've used up all my good luck on one tourney though! I guess I shouldn't say that yet because I still have 3 rounds to go. Don't want to jinx it! That's what I said during the Nightmare tournament after I passed through 3 diamond rounds easily (this was before I had any diamonds) and then it took 2 days and 37 tries to beat Prism. :p

27. Amazon defeated by Fire 1

I can't believe it--I've made it through all the Champions and none of them took more than 6 tries. That is the most ridiculous luck I've ever had in a tourney. The norm is for me to spend at least one day and 15+ tries on a level 16+ Champion. I did not expect to win this tournament without gold, but it looks like I actually might! I'm afraid I've used up all my good luck on one tourney though! I guess I shouldn't say that yet because I still have 3 rounds to go. Don't want to jinx it! That's what I said during the Nightmare tournament after I passed through 3 diamond rounds easily (this was before I had any diamonds) and then it took 2 days and 37 tries to beat Prism. :p

Thanks, kami!!! I was going to Ult him. Made a mistake and forgot to use it the battle before. MOst of the champions were doing okay against it, but just not quite there to take it out. So I decided to use my other champion types. Paladin was one of them I hardly use, but I hadn't tried him yet. So he's the one I threw in and he took most of Warden's health on the first magic attack.

Have you tried red/yellow??? Are your champions coming close to winning?? Which attack seems to be strongest.
Also green/ blue types can work too. If they just seem to be getting worse in their attacks, I move on to another color combo. Sorry I can't help more. I feel for you. I would probably think about ulting by now. Good luck!

It probably didn't save the game on the servers. Try to visit the Artic isles after every battle or write on your wall to make sure your progress was saved. Sorry.

BUT, I posted to say hi and Thank you to all the wonderful people (Kami, Belbar, Darkather Kooky Panda, Pribrakes, woodworker, Figment Valley and the many others) that tirelessly help w/their tips. This forum feels like a real community where people can vent, share and brag :o.

any suggestion Kaleido Dragon, lost around 12 battles so far.

Kaleido has been beaten by jade, Ninja, Valkyrie, Dynasty, Black Knight, Lotus, Night Elf, Big Bad, and Mask.
You could probably try Kitsune, Black Swan, or Virtue also.
Good luck! Black would be better probably though. Also Raven if you have it.

Hi everyone! Does anyone have a suggestion for Dynasty? I don't have black night. I've been trying diamond & passion over & over but I'm getting nowhere. Also, I only have ninja & Valkyrie & avatar. My record lately in these tournaments stinks!

What the heck!!! I beat warden dragon an hour ago, waited the hour to battle again, go to battle and see opponent is jade dragon. I come here to see what colors to use, then go back into game and I'm battling warden again?!?! What's going on :mad:

The same thing happened to me last night battling Gold(14). With Crusader (9) B x 1 and won! Next battle, Gold was back! Then lost Crusader, Diamond, Black Knight and Diamond again! All now requiring Spa treatment!
This also happened a while ago when I was very close to winning a tournament! Lost that tournament because of it!
When I contacted Teamlava, I was told "it was a cinq error, so they could not do anything" I was so mad!
