Hi All,

We hope you've been sticking to your resolutions! Here is today's update:

1) Adamant Alchemy Quest Line
- Available to players that have built Greselda's Castle
- Complete this quest line to learn the ability to craft Adamant
(Ivy and Greselda bonding over potions?! Experiment with the two and see what they come up with!)


2) New Fortune Quests
- Available to players that have the Fortune Teller tent
- Collect from it 2 times to start

3) Dark Rock Formation
- Available for purchase in the Market

The past two content releases have been for high level players. Next week's release will be min. Level 19 to start =)

Dropped by magic garden, Apple tree and Traverse Desert Sands adventure. It is a very rare drop.

You know how you park a monster in the corner of your kingdom. Oh come on, we've all done it. Triggered the quest but don't want to deal with it so you just say goodbye to whatever it's covering... Well, I had parked a Troll in the corner and had a couple of blissful weeks without monster quests. And then the Adamant quest line pops up and requires 20 troll essence. Who was sitting at 19 essence? This guy. Lucky me, I popped my troll and got the 20th. Sigh... Need to build back up to 20 essence before I park it again. :P

This quest is not required to continue the core storyline, however, it can be useful to have this craft available when you need it =)

Nothing wrong the red fish are harded to drop than mermaid scales, I would go through all of mine 3 or 4 times with only 1 little red fish then maybe the next time through I would have 3 more, very frustrating.

Finally got my 50 silver and 10 seconds later, poof out came 1 Mithril and back to potion shop for fourth try at adamant:
20 manticore whiskers 10 dragon scales, and 1 enchanted essence. Maybe I don't need adamant but I always did like a scavenger hunt, which this is beginning to feel like.

The Mithril will hold me back for a while, I only have 2, oh well thanks for the heads up I guess that's why we can use gems on the cave rock, glad I play on I-pad, at least it has a bigger keyboard. Do they have a chance of giving Mithril?

Errrrr.... It's giving us additional story line, I'm quite happy with it actually....

I am not a new player but you know golden nuggets are hard to come by and I like to trade them for gems. Hope there is an attractive prize at the end of this quest line. I dont need adamant at the moment.

I have plenty of dragon scales but it must be so frustrating for those who haven't a dragon. So it may not necissarily be a doable quest for newer players.

I have wondered if certain buildings have an increased chance of luring monsters, because my Jeweler's seem to attract trolls more than anything else. I even find myself wincing as I tap these buildings if I am trying to use up some energy quickly during a work break, because a troll inevitably visits and stops me in my tracks!

I'm with you! I'm so irritated about this. I broke down after six months and bought a dragon with gems. It's funny (in a sad and irritating way) that in the amount of time I've been searching for a burning ember I've found 2 Alicorn wings and 3 horns and added 2 Alicorns (I now have 5!) to my kingdom. Yet...still can't get get my ember to finish my dragon!!!! And I'm not one to complain, but I do daily quests, when is enough enough? Especially when, like you said, this is the second quest line that relies on dragon scales to be completed.

I have gotten the rock several times from adventures. I think it gives you jewels with every strike, and stone and coal. Not worth 30 gems IMO.

I'm still working on the fairy respite trying to get my last column (hopefully tomorrow). Plus I don't have the golden apple yet to even start the adamant quest line. So you're not alone there.

I think the first fortune teller reward when you collect from the magic garden is a few magic fruits as I'm sure I had 22 then after collecting I had 28 so looks like about 6 fruits is the fortune

I play since February (almost a year) and had 60 mythrils a few days ago when I used up 20 for the fairy quest line, now I have 40 left for this quest line. After it, Ill have no more mythrils left.
So, dont give up, you will get ur mythrils.
And a tip: the jewel trade sometimes gives mythrils, also adamants.

I wonder why adamant is so important. Really, it would need 20 mythrils to craft one? I have 16 or 18 adamants, got mostly from mines, trades and sirpiggy. (and since I had no use of them, was just collecting) But I wonder for what questline I could get 20s of mytrhils to craft adamants ...

You have to purchase the fortune teller tent in the Market place to begin fortunes.

Same here, I have new 25 Adamant and 54 Mithril after this quest line is done. At this pace, I will have maxed out Adamant within a year if nothing is done with it. I might only craft Adamant if I hit the 99 in Mithril, it would be a waste otherwise.

Basically there are 5 more "old" fortunes after the dead tree, so make sure you did all of them, then you'll get the new ones.

Bountiful wheat harvest: Wheat harvests are temporarily doubled.
Hidden sparkle of wealth and bounty: 5 gems from the Talinum Auranticm flower (plant that has three yellow flowers on it.)
Skunkupine that laid the golden egg: Skunkupines drop eggs until one drops a golden egg (no more eggs after that)
Wisdom by the water: spark-takular fortune - 10 mermaid scales. Has to be from pond and not wells
Something unexpected from a tree: Dead trees drop oranges, lemons, and apples
Collect from cottage: cottage is booby trapped - get 1 enchanted block
Bags of glimmerdust: A red mushroom circle gives 10 glimmerdust bags
Precious metal: chop a fern patch to receive 1 mithril

yes you can get rare items from Barrack adventures (they are the same adventures, but take twice as long.)
In general, people usually go for the Wizard School(s) first because of the extra energy, and then the Barracks.

definitely the wizard school. I have two. the best spent gems I get ten energy each, every four hours. getting an extra pergola was my second best gem purchase. I always need food items.

This is exactly the process I'm doing. I got my first wizard school. And then my second; and I made it a priority to advance them both as quickly as possible. Most recently (a week or two ago); I managed to have saved up enough for the barracks and purchased that. It does make it a little faster to do some of the quest-y type things. Now, I'm saving up for the fortune teller but it'll take me ages to get there.

I make the most use of the wizard schools (probably 3 or 4 times a day). The barracks are nice; and I'm looking forward to finally getting the fortune teller someday!

Are the glimmer shards and fragments limited to a max of 40 because of the original quest line? It seems like the requirement should be raised. It will take weeks to replenish those resources.

I've made it through this entire quest but I can't picture forging adamant again with such high requirements on glimmer parts and mithril.

It seems to vary between 2 and 7 collections. I'm not sure if some people have waited longer, but I doubt that it has been more than 10 collections between fortunes.

You can get the nugget from the mines, get several of them so you can collect more often. Also occasionally from iron rich rocks. It is a rare drop so it can take a bit but it won't be months.

No I have never stored it . All of my buildings were never stored, the only exception are 2 cottages for lack of space.

You can get the nugget from the mines, get several of them so you can collect more often. Also occasionally from iron rich rocks. It is a rare drop so it can take a bit but it won't be months.

I will be on this quest for a while. I used 20 mithril on the faeries and this is a rare drop for me. I didn't like having two quest requiring high numbers of both. So this one is at the bottom of the list for me. Well almost I still have master botanist for last valentines day. Maybe I will finish that one this year if that version gets to come back. But like most I need expansions. Also I thought that we might have gotten to the golden dome at the front of our kingdom by now. I am hoping for some new things for the long time players that has been talked about.

This quest isn't really worth it for the time being. The conversion rate is 20 mithrils (that's 1000 silvers; if you have the 4th knowledge shard) to ONE adamant. You'll have a quicker chance to get an adamant from a lvl5 deep mine than using alchemy. So *hint* to new players: Save this quest for last.

You're probably still on the quest. What I meant was that after you completely finish the quest line, you'll get a recipe in the workshop to make adamant. It takes 20 mithrils, 30 glimmer frags, and 30 glimmer shards to make 1 adamant.

I swear this will never be finished. I decided to purchase Dark cave formation thinking it might help. All I received was about 4 or 5 silver. Ugh! So tired of this one. Mithril just isn't ever found, making it takes forever, and I just received the 4th shard even though I've been playing for over a year. Otherwise it would be impossible.

When I finally decided to collect from Old Thomas' house, he popped up saying lunch will be late because they found poison in the soup! I was given Mysterious Venom but I am not sure how many. I have only 10 in inventory but I remember getting one yesterday. So it could be 5, it could be 1? I'm sorry but I missed it in a blink of an eye. Hopefully someone else can confirm. :)

It is the discover adamant questline which you have to do in order to get mythic essence. It should start in your potion shop with a recipe where you have to use a golden apple I think.

Actually I was wrong, "Tell the neighboring Kingdoms! 0/50 (Works the same as asking for quest items)" is incorrect, all you have to do is "visit" 50 kingdoms, not ask for items

Do we have to do the potion over again after the first time. It takes me for ever to get dragon scales and I have two dragons... I guess my dragons are very selfish about their scales. I barely got 10 after having them for months now...

I built Greselda's Castle this morning but the Adamant Alchemy goals have not appeared.

Similarly, the Lady Greselda goals did not appear and those are supposed to be available to those who have Lady Greselda walking around their kingdom, which I do.

I force closed the game several times.

Are those not the correct triggers for the new goals? Do I have to complete Glimmergate 3 by visiting the castle 2 times?

Over two years on this game minus the couple months took off for surgeries. And still can't complete this. Still need 2 more gold. I take down a rock formation at least once a day. I really don't want to waste 160 gems just to complete this. And then not have gems for fun things.

Having just gotten to this stage myself, I want to clarify: placing and building Greselda's Castle does NOT unlock the Adamant Alchemy Quest Line. I had to complete her castle THEN collect from it twice ("Visiting" her castle twice is the final part of that segment of the Greselda quest line, "Specific Taste") before the the Adamant Alchemy Quest Line appeared.

Also want to add a big THANK YOU to everyone in this community who posts all the stages of all these quests for folks like me to research and prepare ahead of time for things.

My problem is that the first stage of the goal called for items it is no longer calling for. My first step in Discover Adamant is 5 of Mysterious Venom, 20 of Troll Essence, and a Golden Apple. It is almost impossible to get a Golden Apple and to grab one with gems they want 80 gems! Why was this goal changed to these requirements and not the ones listed in the first page of this goal? Is there any way to change them back?

If these new requirements are here to stay then I think the first page needs to be updated to forewarn people. I know that with these requirements it will most likely be the end of the line as I hardly doubt I'll see a Golden Apple for years, and that is with harvesting my 3 Apple Trees as often as I can. NOTHING drops a Golden Apple for me, EVER. :(

It could drop from the Magic Garden...maybe. Just keep tapping those apple trees every 2 hours. The law of averages will work in your favor eventually. Bake pies if you get overrun with apples, although I still collect from my trees at least once a day & get a golden one every couple of days or so even maxed on the regular apples.

In the goal book it is called Adamant Alchemy and when I click on it, it shows the picture of the potion shop and says, Discover Adamant. Did I get a different goal for some reason or am I just really confused for getting to this chain so late in the game? It wouldn't be the first time I was confused. :o

You're not confused! You're observant!! as for your illusive golden apple, keep trying the magic garden and go on the Bandits and Dark Caves for a possible fruit tree drop so you don't have to buy an apple tree. The Hub inventory guide has more info on gold items. Good luck!

LOL, well it's good to know I'm not losing my mind completely. I thought maybe I was looking at the wrong quest line.

I have 3 Apple Trees and always check my Magic Garden, but they've always been allusive for me. I've got a ton of golden eggs (well over 30) and golden nuggets (almost 30) but the golden apple hates me. I think I've had it fall once, maybe twice, in the years I was playing before taking a break. Hopefully my luck will have changed and I won't be sitting on this quest forever. :(

No, that's different and unrelated. The Tabernum goals are related to collecting often from the Tabernum, not from this goal line. At some random point you will trigger (in order) 1 of the 4 current research goals and the alchemy one is the final one. You just have to keep collecting from the Tabernum and eventually it will trigger this goal.

As I am a late starter I have only now reached this quest. I absolutely love dialogue, it is what separates a good game from one that I pull the plug on. Until now CS has not disappointed but on this I didnt get a finish. I unlocked Adamant in the forge and that was it. Can anyone remember if there was a closing conversation?
