Humbug indeed, tournaments really are a big joke, but not a very fun one, saddening. Just woke up, and had Darksteel lose again, still good time in tournament, i'll take a break from it and if it ends with me quitting like in last one it's no biggie, new dragons out every other day anyway lol.

Oh well - i hope you wake up well rested and have great luck when going back at the extremely annoying Dynasty, go go go!

I've not time to read through the thread, but wondered if anybody else has encountered the odd thing that happened to me in round 16?
Round 16. Chrome, chrome smashed by black knight dragon to death in 2 hits!!!! I've NEVER had that happen before. The tournament instantly re-set, to round 16, but my black knight dragon still needed healing.
Very bizarre - a 2 hit win from a TL dragon, I hope that is just a glitch and not a peek at the future!!!!!
Anyway, I'm now at round 21, with no more odd glitches. So hopefully that was a one-off.

Now on to Unicorn...
I was confused on the round numbers, and the Prism/Unicorn thing. I didn't know that we had them both level 20 back to back! Yikes!!
And in response to the person who posted about having a Dragon beat on 2nd hit in tourney, Yes it happened to me too.
I selected my Dragon (Double Rainbow), and the battle had already started when it opened, and it defeated my Dragon after I hit it once, then the arena gave me a defeated screen and I selected Heal, and it said my Dragon did not need healing, and reset the arena for same round. I tried to use same Dragon, but he was exhausted, and I had to go to habitat to heal it, because it wasn't on heal list at spring (list was empty).
It only happened that one time, earlier in the first 15 rounds.

I selected my Dragon (Double Rainbow), and the battle had already started when it opened, and it defeated my Dragon after I hit it once, then the arena gave me a defeated screen and I selected Heal, and it said my Dragon did not need healing, and reset the arena for same round. I tried to use same Dragon, but he was exhausted, and I had to go to habitat to heal it, because it wasn't on heal list at spring (list was empty).
It only happened that one time, earlier in the first 15 rounds.
Hope you have better luck than me with unicorn. I have now lost to it 9 times.

Hey Everyone, someone shared a strategy for maximizing food production During Tournaments.
Plant 1 hr crops after you battle, then if you come back in an hour for next battle, harvest crops first, and plant either 3 or 8 minute crops, then battle, then collect from habitats, then harvest, then plant 1 hour crops again.
I've been testing it, and it seems to be providing a lot more food to help me level Draggies up during the tourney.
Just thought I'd share in case it helps anyone else level em up quicker.

Well, there is a reason I haven't posted for a day and half, and that is that the above victories happened the night before last, and I've been spending a day and a half only on Immortal! I can NOT beat him! I've just been alternating between Passion and babies. It's really depressing. This is one of the longest times I've ever battled anything, and even with the extra day I'm already behind where I should be in a tournament--that's pretty bad!

My son is on round 15 and is in the same boat because he can't defeat Valkyrie either. He hasn't been trying very often though because I think it's just depressing for him to keep losing over and over. I know the feeling! I think it's pretty unfair of TL to put THREE dragons in a tourney that even those with the best dragon lineup have only a 10% chance against each time. It just makes the tourneys too difficult and really annoying. I guess I'm going to keep going on this one for now, but if the other two high-level champions also take this long (and they usually do for me), I definitely won't make it. :(

I feel your frustration. There are way too many diamonds and champions in each tournament. It takes the fun away when it is just luck. I had Black Knight instead of Immortal, but I used diamond on it. I am sending both you and your son winning vibes. Good luck.

I have a recital in February and a concert in March. We haven't started rehearsals yet for it. They start again next week. I think we're playing Beethoven's 5th Symphony, so it should be an easier concert to play, since I've played this symphony before. Then I know my kids will have concerts in March or April also. I have a recital in February and a concert in March. We haven't started rehearsals yet for it. They start again next week. I think we're playing Beethoven's 5th Symphony, so it should be an easier concert to play, since I've played this symphony before.

Thanks. And thanks to you too DarkAther. The truth is that I prefer battling the really hard dragons because I can just spam weak monsters at them every hour instead of having to constantly consult the Battle Calculator. Remember people, with just a bit of patience, it is easy to overcome the 10 percent chance of landing a critical attack against a hard dragon.

But thank god it's over, and now I can turn off this alarm site (http://kukuklok.com/) that I use for every tournament.

I lost black knight once to warden and healed him. Second time black knight beat him. For some reason when dragons are healed they are stronger than before

Same thing with prism, lost all my diamond breeds to him , lost black knight once almost beat prism but lost. I then healed him, beat prism second time..

I wish this was something that would work for me too, i've seem ppl claim it is this way, so i've tried it, even tried to use same pattern of Bash/Magic if there was info, but never gotten it to work this way - my dragons just don't understand they should be stronger 2nd time around...lazy buggers i guess. But if it was this way for all players it'd be awesome - it would be some sort of system in this mess. I would love less random results/more use of tactics, and if colour/level/class combinations were the deciders for battle outcome together with a function allowing the various dragons get buffed up by failing - perhaps even in stages so that one type of dragon would be strong enough to beat a Champ after one loss while another needed to build strength up by failing twice....and...ah poop, i guess i'm in the wrong game if i'm looking for proper combat mechanics though...:rolleyes:

It can be frustrating.... I used Aether on Angel 5x's and the first four times no matter the combo I was not even close. On the 5th try, one Magic and poof Angel was gone. Sometimes it doesn't make sense.

When you are stuck on a dragon, it is a good idea to look at what dragons come close to winning and trying them again or else dragons with the same colours.

Linda, do you have any cosmic dragons, if not keep trying red/green combos

It took Warden out, but it didn't register in my brain what had happened. I hurried and saved it before I went in for my lesson and turned off my phone. When I came out of the lesson, I realized I had finished the tournament and hadn't even had a chance to celebrate!!!!

Esperia, Valkyrie has been beaten by passion, Dynasty, Black Night, Night Elf, Witch, Diamond, Air, Metal, Kite,Valkyrie, and ice-cream. I know it's frustrating. I just beat Warden with my Ninja. I healed him 3x and sent him against him. I had actually given up on him. Sent him in for the last time because I was in a hurry and he's my best basher... Magic attacks didn't seem to be working on that dragon. I used him with bbb and I had used that attack on the very first time I went against warden with Ninja- this time it barely took him out.
Sometimes you just never know what will work or not. Someone beat Warden with Magic today. So maybe you can try something off the beaten path. I hope your luck changes soon.

Yes we just have to be patient n enjoy the game. I am taking it easy as there is plenty of time. But sometimes we get stuck with one for 12 hrs, can't be helped.

Thanks, larrystorm. I'm sorry to hear your stuck on Valkyrie. I used my Ninja on Valkyrie, but I've beaten him in the past with independence and winter, if that helps. Try not to get stuck using the same colors though if they're not working. I hope you get past it soon!

Last night before I went to bed, I beat Prism with Quetzal but my game must have gliched because it was there again this morning. I didn't notice and lost with crusader, I thought I was fighting unicorn. I will try again with Quetzal in an hour.

(the reason i chose island because i wanted to get rid of it, too many in my account,thinking of if he cannot beat sagi i will sell it, really not expect it won but he did surprise me! lol, now i can move to r28, another tough round..thank you for who supported me, good luck for anyone still fighting like me!

I don't have quetzal, and my black knight is young and exhausted. Any other ideas for getting past prism? I haven't used any gold so far, and would love to keep it that way.
