I have completely lost all of my progress in the game. I had completed every case, and was just going on once a day to see if there had been a new case released, and to try and earn all of the stars that are available, but then today I went on to play and it have me the introduction to the game and I found that I have lost absolutely everything, and I have to start at case 1 again..

Try restarting your device to see if your progress comes back.

I had the same problem. I had solved the first case and was on the second case and suddenly lost all progress.
