Gems not awarded for downloading promo apps

I recently downloaded an **** app for extra gems. I did get the notification that I received 3 gems and to open BS. I opened BS & my gems were not awarded. Tried it in RS with Walgreen's app & they weren't awarded either. Forceclosed both games & shut off phone. Am I doing something wrong or is there a glitch?

Guess I'll email support.... Just hate doing that if I can get my question answered here.

I downloaded the **** app and didn't get my gems. This was several weeks ago. I didn't get my gems when they first had the promo months ago and support told me to contact the company running the promos. So this time I didn't bother and decided to ignore those promos
