Any tips for black knight? Diamond, infinity, all the champions, metal, water, seabreeze, and dragons with blue in it lol, nothing works. Congrats to all who already finished, I'm always amazed how you guys finish so fast and make it look so easy. :D

Have you tried red/green or blue/ green combos? Did blue come close at all? If it didn't, I'd try red/green or red/yellow-Dino or mythic also. I beat dynasty last tournament withytnic and black knight and Valkyrie I think with rose.

i've just lost diamond a 4th time against infinity.. 9% on those four attempts alone. with the rest of my losses there was a 1.7% chance of this many in a row. i'm at a loss for words..

last tourney, i spent 24 rounds on lvl 20 dynasty before getting him with epic diamond. with a 10% win rate across the board getting stuck on that round is a little more anticipated even if it doesn't make it any less frustrating. hope you can get past dynasty soon- good luck!

Wow, 24 rounds.. that's like two days (if you factor in sleeping). I wouldn't be able to handle that. I'd just Ultimate him. I had this problem when Paladin was the tourney boss but just plugged away until the last chance to Ultimate him. I'm at the stage I'm ready to bring out the baby army while I heal up my warriors. Maybe tomorrow they'll flip the difficulty switch back the other way.

Infinity was hard for me too. Baby fire and maybe champion types.
I had to Ult it many times in tournaments. But it is lower level than in other tournaments so you may be able to get it easier. Baby forests also you could use and then get rid of them.
Emerald, landworm, and light have been used so far to beat him in this tournament.

I would really like to be done with Black Knight...these high-level Champions are the pits to fight! But despite being behind in this tourney, I've been having a good couple days in DS--getting enough gold to buy diamond finally, breeding a Golem (my first stone dragon besides the basic Stone), and getting the last comet core to craft Comet. :)

I've been stuck on lvl4 for two days now. I've read people beat Fuzzy with Aether, Atlantic, Diamond amungst others but when I tried it, ALL my dragons lost.

Aether- lost
Athletic- lost
Fuzzy- lost
Diamond- lost
Infinity- lost
Gold- lost

And so on. This game has become quite aggravating.


I won with epic Mirage against fuzzy. Athletic and Independence should work too. Good luck!

Anyone having trouble with the tournament, for lack of a better word, resetting to a certain dragon? I have beaten Quartz 10 twice already and it keeps resetting back to him! Like I said, this has happened twice and it's getting old. I am lucky to get past the champions the first time let alone twice. Three times, I am afraid, will be my undoing! This has been happening for 2 days now.

Excellent worked cdbabe, usually I don't use arena calculator,but only use types of colors advantage ,than decide which colors are strong against TL dragon,.remember I told you to use trickster(rare),topaz,steampunk & metal,.GoodLuck for next round.

I'm not sure if baby brigade works on champion type dragons. You can use your lower level dragons if you want. Some players insist on trying to use the basic color types like water, metal, mythic, virtue or blue/white combos. I try to start with white/ blue and watch my attacks especially the magic attack. If they seem weak , I move to different colors. I think it just depends on how your dragons work. Red/green, blue/ yellow, and blue/green combos have worked also. And even yellow/ green combo. Lotus has also won and champion. If you find something that almost wins- rehealing the dragon and try that same color combination again. I think itt's up to you watching to see what works best for you! Good luck!

O so that's it my Valkyrie is lvl 9 and according to the battle calculator it doesn't seem to make any difference if it's level 9 or 10. But i thought he was the weak one. He needs a ridiculous amount of food though:(. I'm definitely making my Black Knight Epic. He has won 5 battles for me this tournament and he was only level 1. :)

Struggled with Tinsel big time last night, fell asleep from the misery, woke up at 5.30, still half asleep i beat Tinsel with some dragon- i don't even remember which one, randomness rules i guess, then went to work. Brought the iPad along, slow day at work, ppl away for holidays so i've been able to play almost every hour during the day, i even spent 2x2 gold to speed up arena.

But progress? None whatsoever, spent all day fighting Black Knight, tried Champs and my Diamond 9 multiple times, tried a couple babies, slipped in random dragons too, and not beat it still.

Like earlier i really don't know why i do this, i must blame my cursed stuborness, because as in previous tournaments this struggling just isn't fun!

Note to self: Get a life! Or at least try to find another sidekick game....Hmm, did you get that, Santa? :rolleyes:

Yup, must be better options out there, winning a fight is if not fun still quite satisfying - but the actual road to winning ought to be fun too, and with this luckbased system it really isn't. I could just skip the silly tournaments for starters though, but as much as i think the breeding system is a good one i'm not sure just the everyday caretaking is enough. The disastrous buggy summoning events would be nice though too if functioning better....ah well, we'll see - if my own good advice can beat my stuborness.... :eek:

Have you tried red/green or blue/ green combos? Did blue come close at all? If it didn't, I'd try red/green or red/yellow-Dino or mythic also. I beat dynasty last tournament withytnic and black knight and Valkyrie I think with rose.

I tried Landworm x2, Forestfire x2, Rose and Snowman this mofo still wouldn't go down. Mermaid and Atlantis didn't help either, I just used ULT, wasted 2 days already. It's life bar doesn't seem to change, I mean each dragon leaves it at 15% health. Anyways thanks for the tips DA, but for some reason the 20th dragon always gives me a hard time.

Ok i am very ticked off by the stupid rules/odds/whatever that "controls" these tournaments, but sometimes it amuses me too - Dynasty 9 lost 3 or 4 fights (lost count of losses) against Black Knight when named Achilles (i guess opponent bit poor Achilles heel) so i renamed him JR as in Ewing, thinking that should make him nastier, and sure enough he wacked Black Knight good with 2 bashes! Naah i guess it doesn't really help renaming dragons, it's still all about luck, but it does bring combat morale up! :rolleyes:

So I just experience a glitch on my device. After many many tries I defeated Dynasty with Life 1. I even received the 5 gold bars. I collected some coins and noticed that my summoning icon was a bolt or something similar to that. I waited 60 mins and came back and now my bolt icon is a candy like icon and when I went into the battle arena I was fighting Dynasty again. TL that is really lame. I had heard this happens but it had not happen to me on the last 24 battles.

Sorry cdbabe... I used my new diamond, but I had to heal it up before it won.
I used baby forests a lot on da. Sometimes it would take time. If green doesn't work you could try Pegusus, light, fuzzy.
Atlantis, ice-cream, gemstone, emerald, Valkyrie ( I beaten him with too) all of these have been used in other tournaments.
I've beaten him with rainbow also.
Parakeet, life, aurora, Caesar naga have also been used.

I put right colours for black to u so i only can wish u Good luck! Unfortunatly champs have black m att too so chances against another black r not so big. Light will be a good choice tho . Headless works well. I used Illusion as a shot in the dark, thinking black counters diamond, and purple counters the blue. It worked out, but was probably just dumb luck.

Reveal your champion dragon which also happen to me I think on my 3rd try I managed to beat him with just pure magic with my dynasty dragon.

I am stuck on Elf. Lost five times against him. I always used my champions.. And they were not even close. Are there any other dragons who are good against elf?
I am really unlucky in this tournament. It started in round 10 that i nearly had to fight each dragon at least twice. I even had to ultimate Dynasty because i wasnt able to beat him. My first ult since the Phoenix tourney..

To me it seems like they've made odds worse to force more use of gold, this tournament really is insanely rough - first rounds were fairly smooth with just minor hickups, but later ones have been crazy - from 15th round i've fought every dragon 5 - 14 times except for Gadget and DA, currently at 6 losses vs Hanukkah...and you really cannot read much into a losing streak of 6 like this, but neither calculator or advice found on forum has helped - been like that since round 15...instead i've here and there chipped in totally random dragons, that noone claimed victory with and that had all wrong colours...and they've won! I think the system with colours and different classes could be awesome, but TL aren't using it that way - i guess they don't want us to actually know how it works, understandable ofc, that'd mean less profit. Waiting to go catch train here, and then i won't be able to play....which really will be a relieve lol! :D Anyway, you are a lot closer than i am, i'm sure you can do it, good luck!

I don't believe that I have 2 diamonds and I still can't get past angel after 16 attempts. I have lost diamond 6 times crusader 3 times and water aether Mistmoth water witch and countless others. I am very fed up.

I beat with a Forest 4 before, a color strong against white has a chance .

Naah keep at it, just don't get too upset by losses, and if in the end you fail there'll be new dragons out a week after or so lol. Having Ultimated already is good reason for not giving up, and you have still good chances if you have the time to spend. I'm sure not all remaining rounds will be as nasty, so hang in there!

It is strange with these battles where babies or commons succeed, and Champs and Diamonds fail...it's not really an incentive to work hard getting a Champion for example, since Champions is no more of use than any other dragon it seems - well except against low level/class opponents maybe. I think it's very odd. I understand collecting, getting every dragon in game at any cost - i wouldn't, but i see why some might....but there seems to be little reason getting a dragon because it's "strong"....

I understand your feeling ,I had lost 16 or 17 battles with one dragon in previous tourney,.Sumercsrefree,DarkAther & belbar knew about it,so patience are the key to the victory,don't be dishearten ,eventually you'll win against Elf & we have enough time in the tourney.So focus which colors are strong against green & yellow,don't see arena calculator,just check colors advantages in wiki & use it.I think you should try Justice now.Good luck
