i also had a problem with a lvl 10 shell. took me 6 attempts to beat it ! and you guys are right, the battles are extremely difficult ! i already have 3 epic champions and a lvl 9 ( valky ) . also, dynasty is lvl 6. few days ago i faced an emerald. it beat ALL my champions ! took me a day to beat it !

thats annoying just missed out on black knight was hopeing it was going to be my first champion could of brought the little remaining with gold but my 3 year old niece likes to feed my dragons and brought a second rainbow dragon with the remaining coins so need 7 more gold. So still a possibility sent my fire dragon on a quest hopefully he will bring back gold or will get a gift to make up 7 before they stop crafting it.

For crying out loud already!! I only have 48 maces and now won't get any more because you've released ANOTHER NEW DRAGON with NEW PARTS!!! This is absolutely NUTS!

Best you find a way for players to be able to trade in parts for the new parts. This is unfair. I'm not spending 780 gold to get the rest of the parts I need for the black Knight dragon. There is ZERO incentive to try for this new dragon because you will probably take it away before anyone who isn't willing to spend gold can get in any reasonable time frame. Remember...People do have lives that DO NOT revolve around Dragon Story.

For opponent dragons with pink, use black. Recently beat a kitsune and bubble with night elf (10) so use it if you have one.

Jade has best chance, it has three elements that are strong against pink; Gemstone, black & green. It's still less than 50%, so you might have to heal it and try more than once. Good Luck!

Push and hold on the app until it starts to wobble and it will have a red X on it.
Click on the x and it will say- Are sure you want to delete this app?
You click yes, and go back into the app store and download Dragon Story again. Your Progress is saved on your device so you wont loose your game.

OMG deleting was perilously easy! Then I went to the App Store and to the 'purchased' area... Clicked Dragon Story and watched it install. And when I opened the game ... First there were patches of green .... Then habitats showed up - empty.... Then I watched the dragons pop back into them And my Healing Spring is working again!!

LOL, i've only been in 2 tournaments before, and not battled much like this either, so i wonder - has the combat "system" always been like this? Extremely random i mean? It is nice knowing though, that if i fail getting this or that Champion or super rare dragon it isn't a biggie, can just as well use a baby dragon fighting, a lot cheaper and easier!

Super rare Penguin 14 first kicked my Paladin 9's butt, but in next round Penguin got wasted by lvl1 Fire baby...hilarious really, i am so glad i haven't paid gold for that so called Champion! Well, except for a few nuggets to speed arena up during tournament ofc. :D

For information, the only Epic Dragons I have are classic colors and double colors like Green, Purple or Pink. And I have some Gemstones and one Dino and one Royal at low level.

I wish I could give you a definite answer but according to the breeding calculator, every other dragon at any level had a 10% chance of winning. Maybe try baby fire since it helps some players during a tournament. I hope you get past this road block soon.

I'm on 17 masks and it's been tough fights all the way. At first I thought it was since it was still collecting Maces (and maybe they difficulty is tied to how many maces you've won so far), but it's still tough. I haven't won on the first try in a few rounds now, and I'm not usually that unlucky. In fact I've noticed that dragons are effective after they've lost a match and you're trying them for a second shot.

Unlike the Black Knight, this Immortal dragon isn't so cool. I'm not a fan of the Forest template so unless he looks radically different as Epic I might not try so hard this time around. I also have so many Champion dragons now it's kinda become a collectors game. They're also no where near as effective for me anymore. I haven't had a Champion win for a while now.

Expired dragons are always in the arena as opponents, so no, that is not an indicator that you can breed it.... However if you look at your market it is the featured dragon,so yes!! it is available to be bred!

not necessarily. i got chocolate ( about 1 month ago ), big bad ( 2 days ago ), quetzal ( several times ) and leviathan as my opponents.

It's a lot of luck these days. I can understand that Dragon Story started out as a luck based game, with breeding pretty much almost 100% luck. However, Battle Arena started out as simulation of a game of s**** so I think it's sad that they're turning it into a game of luck :( At it's core DS is a game of luck unfortunately.

Don't use Champions against these weird element dragons. Champs are naturally weak against them. I use Passion regularly to toast Champs. For Tropical element dragons I use Zombie (or Poison or Familiar or Witch if you have them)

So much seems random in these battles, or totally illogical, i find it being a really annoying system, not much fun at all most often.

But sometimes - all to seldom though - you do see a pattern, and it goes from just frustrating to being confusing also.

In the 2 latest tournaments i've beaten Valkyrie using ordinary Water dragons, once with a baby and once using Water 9, and now it happened again - Water 9 beat Valkyrie 14 first try, i didn't even bother sending in Diamond who should've been a contender, i just used the Water dragon, and it rocked! I'm not sure if i'm lucky, or if it's just my account it's in, but Valkyries i face definetly have problems with Water!

Have you tried using level 1 babies? I do this when I am healing my best dragons. I'll hatch dragons just so that I can use them in battle before selling them. You can also buy Forest and Fire eggs if you have a spare nest to hatch them, then sell them if they lose. And sometimes they win when the other dragons don't :)

I am sending you some winning vibes and wish you the best of luck. You will get that nasty penguin at some point.

My last suggestion would be to uninstall and reinstall in case there is a glitch with your arena. You should definitely have beat it by now.

I'm enjoying these non-tournament battles much more than i've enjoyed any battles before, just because i've decided it's not important to me - i only play a couple times during the day, on lunchbreak and perhaps on one of the coffeebreaks, then in the evening i play more battles, but not sitting waiting every hour for arena to open again.

I'm not getting as many masks as i could ofc, but the constant flood of new dragons in game really makes it less important trying to get each one, so que sera, whatever will be will be, Immortal dragon or not, this game wins out on being played casually imo! :D

Where do you guys actually see the timer of when the crafting of the dragon is going to end?? I have like 85 plus each of useless objects like maces, scythes. The only goal I see right now that has a timer is the tournament goal. We all have life outside the game, I cannot battle continuously throughout the day. If it tells me from the beginning that the dragon will be available, say for 10 days, then I will be able to do my battles accordingly.
Oh, I'm just SO upset. It's a complete waste of my time battling these past couple of days.

For example, I play quite a bit and I got my 99 maces and then another 30 or so easily. I knew I would never get 198 so no biggie that I didn't get two of that type of dragon.
