How does Honeybee and Light give me a Firestorm? I get that the colors split but they can split and breed with each other not using the other partner's colors at all???

Those colors don't split like blank, pink, metal, etc. The base colors air/water/fire/forest/light do not split. But you have 3 colors you're dealing with air/fire/light. They can combine in any order...in this case...honeybee is air/fire and you breed with light. Your result is fire/air and firestorm so the light didn't get included in the breeding.

I gather you're trying for the new Santa dragon. Be patient, getting a tri-color dragon can take a while.

Thanks for the response ;) Still sounds crazy to me! I can totally understand getting red/ white combos and yellow / white combos. Just seems crazy that I bred a firestorm with a honeybee and no colors from the partner!!
Yep, trying for the Santa, got it second try on my android. No such luck on my iPad :(
