using gems

I have enough gems to instantly finish a food, but it is not letting me use them. I tap to manage then select the option that will finish the food instantly for 3 gems, but it doesn't finish it or use the gems. It has done this with more than one food

I would rather have a "are you sure button" - I have accidentally used gems (to finish cooking) when I only wanted to check how much cooking time was left
