Battling Level 14 Dragons?

So a week ago, I was hanging out with my friend, and we decided to play Dragon Story.
We were battling dragons--and note here that I just started the previous day while she started about four days ago--and I noticed that she was battling a level 14 dragon, Ingot the Cyber Dragon..
It puzzled me because I didn't know it was even possible to get a dragon past level 10. Does anyone have any information regarding this?

Opponent dragons in the battle arena can reach level 20 which makes them harder to defeat.

You can only involve your own dragons to level 10. There are opponents in the battles that may be higher than level 10.

As Kooky Panda stated, the dragons go well beyond level 10 in the arena in tournaments. NOT FAIR....... I've battled level 20 dragons in tournaments which I've only been able to defeat with ultimate attacks which cost 30 gold in tournaments....... Good luck!
