Dragon determined at beggining or end of breeding?

At what phase of the breeding is the dragon determined, beggining or end? At first I thought it was at the beggining, when the breeding hours appear. But something happened to me once: one of my breedings finished and the pop up said I had hattched a certain dragon. Then the game crashed and when I restarted the pop up showed me another dragon!!!
So I guess maybe at the beggining of the breeding the hours are determined, but the dragon itself is only determined at the end.
What do you think? Has this ever happened to you?

It's determined at the beginning.

Definitely at the beginning, although glitches can occur resulting in different dragons compared to the breeding times.

Yes, only recently. My time switches, resulting in a different dragon. Also for about a week it did not matter what I put together, the results were the same dragon. Now my game force closes codes several times aday. I know longer am using gold.
