Ivy's hot sauce

I've had a goal come up to adventure to the dark caves but I still haven't unlocked the goal of Ivy's hot sauce from the kitchen...so I won't be able to go on that quest. How do I unlock the hot sauce recipe or have I somehow missed it? Thanks.

Have you planted any hot peppers yet? I think that unlocked the recipe for me.

You need to have harvested hot peppers and be level 17 to get the quest to unlock the sauce
