What supplies do i need for herb garden and pond? Im a new player (lv 13) and IDK.:)

I hav a few hammers a lot of wood plank, ZERO paint, two nails and two screws, a bunch of bricks, saw and pickaxe.Oh and NO shovels!:(

Also, what is better, pond or garden? Thx!:D
