Seems a good idea at first except that people will just transfer resources to players with shields and then keep hiding it. Makes it even harder to find coins. I am sympathetic to the idea but it is ripe for abuse.

This is an idea that we discuss in our alliance as well to help our lower members grow. As for resources there is too much of an imbalance of spell stones to gold at the moment. My alliance the problem is that most of us max out spell stones every day but at higher levels there is no gold to upgrade your base. I thing the balance needs to be worked a bit for all.

But if you let people pass resources, then people will hide coins with players with shields. Coins will be even harder to find.
