1) Limited Time Quest for the Turkey Cow
Completing this quest line will get you one FREE Turkey Cow for your Kingdom
(This Limited Time Quest will not require you to go on an Adventure)


2) Limited Time Quest for the Turkey Chicken
Completing this quest line will get you one FREE Turkey Chicken for your Kingdom
(This Limited Time Quest will not require you to go on an Adventure)


3) Turkey Cow and Turkey Chicken are for sale in the Market for Gems for a limited time


Lastly, we are aware that there is a bug that will cause the limited time quests to expire 3 hours earlier than the posted time. We will fix this bug as soon as we can. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience.

Same here. And it takes 22 hours to collect from the Market. That's going to take more than 3 days to get 20 felt...

I have no idea how this is going to work.

It's getting a bit cramped again because now everyone is pulling their spare buildings out of storage due to this time limited goal nonsense. Of course this increases the risk of mistapping and triggering a gem trap so perhaps that's what TL intended all along.

Haha...thank goodness I have 3 libraries since you have to visit 3 times and that's 8 hrs each time to collect. Feel for those who only have 1 library & 1 market. They will never finish in time I'm afraid. Unless the market gives 10 at a time ..... Maybe then. BTW, I didn't get a any kind of scroll. I got a spell book and my heart sank when I saw it. But I guess it counted since it showed that part completed.

I'm not sure I like these timed things, they make me nervous! Not sure I am going to be able to do this quest as I think you need to craft 2 red dyes and red petals are scarce for me and I recently crafted a dye which I think will not count?
Hoping someone gets through this quickly so they can let us know what is needed, so I can make a judgement now as to whether it is worth putting any resources into this. To be honest, it's a dressed up animal that just drops eggs or milk, so nothing special as far as I can tell.

Next quest (lean mean sewing machine - $360, 3 xp) popped up too quickly to see details but you need wool, red dye and yellow dye.

After that is costume painting ($360, 3 xp) use 2 yellow dyes, use 2 red dyes and craft a turkey costume. Turkey costume is crafted in workshop and needs 20 felt, 30 fall leaves, 10 wool and takes 4 hours.

Ah you're right. It was the 'craft' button which made me think otherwise. I do have two yellow and even two red dyes already, so perhaps it will be possible.

I just upped to 3 libraries (had 2 in storage) and 3 markets. I really doubt you would be able to do this with just 1 of each seeing as libraries take like 7 hours (so 21 for 3 times) and the market 22 hours (and it looks like you need 3 collections).

Hope people realise that if they really want this animal that they would most likely be best off buying it in the market for 60 gems than to use gems to speed up or skip parts.

Thanks for the tips posted by players, I know I'll need more libraries and markets so I took some out of storage and put away some other buildings temporarily. I put away my glimmerbat thingy for good too, always getting full on fruits but he was nice to have around for the time. Wish we could've gotten more exansions. For now only the turkey-dressed chicken is showing up for me, is it after you complete this then the cow appears?

Thanks for giving us these updates. I am still on the Glimmergate line, need 2 more venoms, so I've been keeping up with the updates to prepare for what's coming. Looking forward to all that is ahead ... With one exception.

Please please please take into consideration that red petals are soooooo rare. I made the dye for the bat, which I didn't get in time so it was a waste. If memory serves me right, I'll need 5 for the carriage, 10 for Fashion Police, and now 2 for this task.

By chopping tall grass or logs, I get 1 out of every ~9 chops. That's 9 chops x 6 petals = 54 energy and 5,400 coins. Someone check my math, it seems ... um ... high!! Asking for 2 dye for this task will require more energy to beat the Glimmer troll or Greselda!

I love castle story and the game designers, but this is one game flaw that needs to be changed. Please add a flower that gives red petals. Even give it a long time period between collections. We just need more sources for a red petal.

To answer my own question, they did count towards the 20. I chopped another 10 to get the 30 I will need later. Now it is waiting on more felt from my other 2 market places. Got 7 from my first.

I don't inow if I was just lucky or TL has changed the drop rate but I just chopped up some grass and logs and got something like 5 red petals by using maybe 12 energy. Massive improvement on other times when it was been more like whay you experienced.

I check this game everyday several times per day. I feel that I don't get everything available or I don't know the "tricks" to get new stuff. Messages should be put on everyone's walls for upcoming stuff instead of sorting through the forum. Most of the players on my neighbor list have stopped playing once they got to level 30. It drags and you feel like you are not getting anywhere. Too many quest use the same resources for supplies and you can't make them fast enough or get the smalls you need to produce them. It is getting annoying. I see why everyone is quitting.

Okay, am I missing something? I collected from my libraries & next up is collecting fall leaves from trees (no problem) and holiday felt from the market & gifting. We can only collect from the market once per day, and seeing as I got 6 from the market, that will take more than 3 days! Gifting only gives 1 felt & seeing as there's a 3/day limit on these, it is hardly an abundant source. Am I missing something???

Plus I come on here & find that the next step involves red petals/dyes. It just feel unnecessarily difficult. TL has been hearing our complaints about red petals, have they not. So what should I conclude by them putting it in yet another (time-limited) goal???? Seriously?

I just upped to 3 libraries (had 2 in storage) and 3 markets. I really doubt you would be able to do this with just 1 of each seeing as libraries take like 7 hours (so 21 for 3 times) and the market 22 hours (and it looks like you need 3 collections).

Hope people realise that if they really want this animal that they would most likely be best off buying it in the market for 60 gems than to use gems to speed up or skip parts.

Today I collected 6 felts from my one and only marketplace. For me to reach 20 pieces plus still have time for the rest of the quest line, I caved and built 2 more marketplace buildings. I should be able to complete this...., maybe.

Please consider extending this event beyond 3 days. I'd like to propose it as a 10 day event.

I've been playing since the Valentine's edition, so I welcome the themed quest, however if I was a new player now, I would be totally turned off on this 3 day time limited quest. 3 Days is not enough time for a casual new player and/or a new potential gem customer. I'm afraid that the small time window will just alienate both new and existing players. I've already seen a couple of my level 30 neighbors with empty bat habitats and "full" messages on their walls.

If this event is a retention tool, I get it. Themed events around holidays are cool. Add a new time limited costumed pet and you're going to snag all Pet Story and completionist type people. But if this is also an acquisition tool, where the existing playerbase tells their moms, sisters, cousins, kids, brothers, families and friends..., well, those newly referred people would be welcomed with a themed quest line that they would have zero percent chance of completing without a 60 gem purchase. That's a slap in their faces.

Have you also considered or measured your player DAU metrics versus Gem purchases post the Halloween Glimmerbat event? Is that what contributed to the decision to making this a 3 Day time limited quest even with a known bug that events will end 3 hours before their planned expiration?

Please. Please consider extending the duration of this Thanksgiving quest line. Please do this to make new players excited about the upcoming Winter Holiday stuff (I'm just guessing that you have that planned), and please do this for your loyal customer base (Retention mechanism).

Then you need those other materials that you can't request, not to mention having to grow trees if you weren't lucky enough like me to already have many full grown ones.
I have also lost quite a few nbrs and it's because of the glimmerbat goal since I see no bat or even a full expanded one in some nbrs kingdoms.
I don't understand not trying to have good customer relations rather than alienating some no matter the amount of those dissatisfied ones. They spread the word and then those potential players are now not gonna even try the game.

Grow some acer trees to collect the leaves, craft red & yellow dye in the potion shop and gift the felt with your nbrs so you have enough of that if your goal hasn't popped up yet.

I originally that the 3 days was just for the first step of the goal, and didn't realize until I came on here that it was for the whole quest line. I normally play by ear but this time I'm getting everything ready ahead of time. I also built another market and thanks to my neighbors I think I'll be able to complete this in time.

it's probably been said many times but please please TL let us gift to more than 3 people per day. You don't let us gift gems or gold like in other games so there is no real reason to limit it. hope to see that change someday.

Regarding the timed goals, it's great to have them. For me I have no problem at all acquiring them because I've been at lvl 30 for a few months now and stock pile when I can. However, I can totally understand the frustration of lower level players especially those that have no valentine plants to acquire red petals easily. This goal does not require an adventure but still you have to wait 22 hrs to collect from the market. I have extra libraries and markets so makes it even easier for me. Considering there's a 3 day time limit I'm sure a lot of players might not get the items. While it may be just a cow or chicken, I'm sure players would like to have them and not feel left out. TL at least you can consider doubling that time limit to 6 days. That being said thanks for these frequent goals.

Just a tip for players trying to get red petals, I've found sometimes when I try to get drops whether red petals or mermaid scales that it's best not to do it too many times in succession. Like if you chop two grass or fern patch and don't get any don't chop the rest but try again in a few. Same thing with fishing from ponds and well. Try it, maybe it might work.

It depends, my iPad game I had to chop 6 trees to get them all, but my iPhone game I only had to chop 3. Red Acers on both games, so not like different trees have different drop rates.

The crafting of the costume takes 4 hours but the other stuff you can have prepared (dyes, wool, water, wheat and corn) so I think it is still possible :)

You've got to do something about it urgently, because currently many of your wonderful updates just add frustration to many many people instead of promoting the game!

Please put the task to add a red flower to the market to the top of you priority list before this quest ends
or
Give us a possibility to gift red petals
or
Put the Valentine's edition to the AppStore for like 2-3 dollars and let people transfer there games to it. You would earn a lot of money and end this red petal frustration!

I crafted two costumes and got my cow. I chopped another Acer after this and did get a leaf so they're still dropping. Have you checked to see if you're maxed (it's a lower limit).

Lucky streak. I haven't had a single red petal despite my attempts. My leaf count has also dropped significantly. I'm lucky if I get one leaf from a tree right now.

It is possible but only if you have multiple markets and it is helpful if you had the trees ready. I had 3 markets and they gave me 7, 6, 6 and then I had a few gifted. Then I think I chopped 3 trees as the leaves dropped with very nearly every chop. Keep going, might be worth building more market places as they don't cost much in money or resources.

I guess I am one of the first who realize I won't make it. Still have 23 hours but there is no way I will make it. I need 5 more felt and my market still has 20 hours until next collection. No time to make the costume once i have the stuff. I didn't get the bat either. I don't mind supporting the game. (If there was an option to buy a dollars worth of gems I would probably buy weekly.) I don't mind spending gems on a building that adds to the game progress but I am not going to spend $3-4 dollars to buy a virtual cow in a turkey costume. These timed quests are designed to get you close to the goal then FORCE you to spend money to ensure that the materials you have already invested aren't wasted. Careful TL this kind of frustration is main reason people abandon games. They play to relax and enjoy. Not to build frustration and anxiety. I am a first time poster. I enjoy this game, but I don't enjoy losing. I didn't think this game was suppose to be a competition but now I have lost twice (bat and cow).

I only had 2 markets and was able to complete this well within the allotted time. Just put the second market in storage when you are done. You might need it again soon for the " turkey-chicken" anyway.

It is possible but only if you have multiple markets and it is helpful if you had the trees ready. I had 3 markets and they gave me 7, 6, 6 and then I had a few gifted. Then I think I chopped 3 trees as the leaves dropped with very nearly every chop. Keep going, might be worth building more market places as they don't cost much in money or resources.

I agree! For those of us who don't have the Valentine edition time, coins and energy is wasted on trying to collect red pedals. I'd been saving my red pedal's for the untangling of Sabina's hair (40 red pedals!) and now I've used them up for this Turkey project.
It's super unfair... I've been playing for over 6 months.... Why has TeamLava chosen to allow such an advantage to certain player but not others?

For me, I solved this by buying 2 more markets for $2000 each 2 days ago..certain buildings you can buy more . There is a thread on here to Add your Id for exchange of " rush " items

That is great if you ***** and read the forums to find out what you will have to eventually do ( like I finally broke down and did). But if you play the game and experience it as it happens there was no way of knowing everything you would have to accomplish in 3days. Initially I thought I had three days just to get the felt and leaves, so I thought I would be okay. I had no idea of the remaining steps that also had to be completed in that amount of time. Frankly, if I'm this upset, I think I should stop playing. It's not worth it!

Apparently they don't seem to get that they have just changed one nearly impossible task for another THAT MOST PEOPLE CANNOT ACCOMPLISH!!! I visit kingdoms all the time. Very few finished the bat quest and I predict very few will finish this one.

Tree Logs. ($600). Gets you wood, dust, mushrooms, and random petals. I burned through 39 energy and did 13 logs. 2 hours later, I did it again. Actually got me a decent number of petals (don't remember an exact count as I've done this a few times now but in short order, I'm back up to 25 petals from 0.)

I ended up skipping thru most of it 'cos I was panicked I wouldn't get there before the time expired. This goal is patently absurd, and not in a good way. The goals have to be doable within the time frame without having to buy another 3 or 4 markets. I've said it before and I'll say it again: TL, you're screwing up a great game! :(

I have two market places, collected from both, got one felt gift from a nice nbr, collected from one market the second time and had enough felt.

Once I started the costume I saw I could make a second so collected a second time from my second market and built a third market place. But forgot that was my plan, collected the costume and the option to make a second one disappeared. Will leave out all three market places for the turkey chicken goal then one of the market place is going into storage.

Now I'm focusing on restocking dyes.

You have to remember that this game is supposed to be challenging. While we were waiting for updates I took advantage of the time and collected as much resources as I could. Now that we have had weekly updates... I don't collect from the buildings that have more than a four hour time stamp as you are almost guaranteed one of them is going to be need for the goal. I do use gems at times to get past certain goals mostly because I don't want to wait and am guilty of purchasing some too from time to time as much as I try to avoid it. I love this game and the more challenging the better...

This will not work anymore. I didn't need it, but was curious to go back on it a month or so ago and it no longer will open after re-downloading. You only get a message referring you to the main game.

Tree logs tend to give sap and wood. I think you're thinking of old logs. Personally if I need wood but not sap these are my go to item as they drop so many different things.

All you have to do is double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view, then swipe up on the screenshot of the app you want to exit. The app will fly off the screen.

To force close you games, means you are closing out the game from running in the background.
On iphone, ipad, etc. ( you are not deleting the game and redownloading it)

You are not deleting the apps just closing them out. When you have app run in the background, it takes memory and slows up the games.

You can only send 3 gifts a day, but you can receive up to 20 I think. I had about 8 felt gifted in the same day, but only got to send 3. Perhaps post on friends walls who already have the cow and maybe they can send you more.

Yes, or perhaps it is because the goal hasn't yet finished for everyone? I did notice my markets have started dropping less felt. It used to be at least 6 and now it is 3. Can see it is much harder to finish these goals if you came into them later.

The time frame for this quest is just too ridiculously short. I spent some gems to skip part of it (such as getting 20 Holiday Felts since I only had 18) because I know I don't have enough time, and then I remembered the forum and came to check how long this quest line is... wow, I'm only half way there with less than 3 hours left (I'm crafting yellow dyes and I have absolutely no red pedals so I was thinking of skipping the red dyes with gems). Screw this I'm not wasting anymore gems on this. Glad that I haven't clicked that "skip" button for the red dyes! A quest that's only about 3 days long, and then you had to collect Holiday Felts from the Market Place that takes 22 bloody hours to recharge... is simply ridiculous.

Lastly, we are aware that there is a bug that will cause the limited time quests to expire 3 hours earlier than the posted time. We will fix this bug as soon as we can. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience.

LavaTeam here is another thing. Week-end goals / quests that depend upon gifting suck. Some people take off for the wek-end. I received 1 gift and that was before I even knew about the goal. Not happy.

To everyone who missed this because of the early end. This happened with the Glimmerbat. It's a bug and if they do what they did last time, they'll extend it. Send in tickets of complaint and I'm sure that's what they'll do.
