Thank you for the reports! For the Goal- "A Teacher's Test," one of the tasks is- "Ask 10 Neighbors for Wood Chips." They currently show up in the Gifts section to be gifted to others, but I have already let the Game Team know to remove them. You can only Ask for these Wood Chips from your neighbors.

Although they don't show up in your My Gifts section, the total is being tallied up in your Quest section (such as 2/10) when you accept the Wood Chips.

Please let me know if you have any questions! :)

I think the tables and chairs are pretty yucky. Made out of logs. Maybe for an outdoor bistro. Hey that would be cool to have a small outside area. Think more expansions TL.
And another outdoor grill? Yea..we really need an outdoor section somewhere in the bottom left corner outside the walls of the restaurant-not inside the restaurant.

Love this update, it's very cute.

The only thing that disappoints me is the small quantities in the new stoves/ovens. Food is disappearing out of my restaurant and I'm level 99 with 22 appliances. By the time you master these 3 recipes, all the existing food is gone.

No one's posted a pic so we're most likely having to cook lots of food on the first appliance before that goal line shows up. There are 3 recipes so each one will be part of the goal and each one requires more food to serve so it might be a bit before anyone finishes that part. Unless they pass with gems. The goals are fun so I never do that. I work at my own pace.

Check the bug thread. Iceepenguin says it's being removed from the gifts since it's a request item but if you received any thru gifts they will count later for the goal.

I finished all the steps needed to reach the grill, now it is still locked and cannot buy it, and I bought this pile of.... old leaves got the goals, and there's no wood chips to be asked or any goal pertaining to such thing, Really TL this is the Nth goal that you are messing up for me, Honestly what are you thinking also with such hideous designs ? wood tables and chairs made of tree trunks with colored leaves? you must be joking! I think am going to skip all the goals from now on, it is a waste of m very hard earned money I paidfor everything and again. same here, the difference is I did buy the lamps and counters, but for nada zilch, nothing, did not get a "parade car"on my list! neither the woodchips to request from friends, nothing I am stuck now and don't know what to do , TL should be ashamed of themselves, after all this time such repetitive issues occuring is not a good mark for comptence.��

They were never meant to be gifts. They are an item you will need to send requests for. Read back a few pages and you'll see the explanation. I started a thread in the bugs forum because I received some this morning as gifts but they never showed up in my storage.

These back and forth goals are too much, IMO. TL, do one goal line completely before opening another to work. The back & forth gets too confusing. I can follow but many other players get confused and I can see why.

The Wood Chips are listed as gift in gift section. There are many items which are request item and Gift item at same time, so this should not be some confusion between Gift Item and Request Item.

if you do not consider glitches, bugs, and having problems achieving a goal - bcz the TL team are not giving us the correct steps to unlock goals- then I really don't know what you consider negative, no it is a game and not life and death, so understandably it should be FUN, not Frustrating bcz of others bugs, I paid gems for this game, so it is my right to have at least goals without constant glitches, don't you think!?!

For you the furnitures are beautiful to others they are ugly, to each his own tastes, so please accept others' opinions like we do yours, on this matter.Hav a good day!

If you're still cooking the sweet potato then you haven't gotten to this step yet. It will pop up once you complete the sweet potato and serve it. The goal goes slowly because of the cooking portion. So she you serve e sweet potato the next goals pictured above will then open up.

I get impatient, too, and the flip flopping between goals is way to confusing as well. That goal should never pop up until one is finished with the goal at hand.

Here's a helpful hint I've found from the last several goals:
When a new appliance opens up through a goal, you have to cook allthe recipes showing for that appliance before moving onto the next one.
So for this goal with the first appliance, the autumn stove, there are 3 recipes. Before you can move on to the 2nd goal with the 2nd new appliance, (the BBQ) you have to finish all 3 recipes for the first one. Hope that makes sense and helps to remove some confusion.

I agree, that would be awesome....maybe it could be a goal to unlock outside expansion. When I first started playing bs and rs the outside area was pretty much empty but over time its decorated with landscape etc...why cant we be the ones to build it?



I think the tables and chairs are pretty yucky. Made out of logs. Maybe for an outdoor bistro. Hey that would be cool to have a small outside area. Think more expansions TL.
And another outdoor grill? Yea..we really need an outdoor section somewhere in the bottom left corner outside the walls of the restaurant-not inside the restaurant.

I don't think you need to complete all the Goals to unlock "Parade Car". This one is already unlocked for me, but i am yet to complete the "Teachers Test" an "BBQ one".

I believe there should be one more Goal for which something will be offered for free or TL is taking advantage of some of the gamers by giving Goals without any Prize.

This one is shown locked just before Parade car. The second last one.

I hope so meme . Unless they do it different on IoS, the Goal items should already exist on the tabs. I've never seen one just all of the sudden pop up and appear out the blue when it becomes time to need it.

The bbq goal doesn't get unlocked until you so some of the other quests. So start doing the goals you do have. The ones you want to do, are the ones that currently says 28 days left (as of the time of this posting). See the very first post for the order they become available. If I recall, after you do the Fall Furnishing one, you get the BBQ one. But you can't finish the Fall Furnishing one for a while, because the table is unlocked until you do the Teacher goals. So basically, you're going to need to cook a bunch of stuff on the Autumn Stove first.

I just noticed that the goals requiring locked items actually tell you which goal you have to complete to unlock the item.

I also had bought some decorations before getting the goal to buy them and they were counted for the goal,

I saw that too. Love that feature and hope it stays around! It was always a guessing game before.

In Sharpguy's picture above, it is potatoes, corn, turkey. When I finished the corn goal, the corn and turkey recipes changed places, so the turkey took the middle spot. Fast tapping will result in making more corn after reaching the goal and missing the oppty for the 10-hour turkey recipe. Watch out for this! This is the first time I've seen that.

You can cancel the recipes by tapping to manage. "Cancel this dish and start a new one" is then available to change the recipe.
To avoid doing this, slow down and only tap exactly where you want. You can avoid many traps and unintentional consequences this way.

Have cooked all the required recipes on the autumn stove? There are 3, including the pecan tassies. I forget how many of those you have to serve. Have you done that recipe yet?
Once it's completed, it opens the BBQ goal.

Once you serve the brownies, you'll have to do pecan tassies. Once you serve them and finish that goal, the BBQ will open up.
The last several months all TLs goal have been structured that way. The first appliance in the goal will have 3 recipes and before the 2nd one will open for use, you have to meet the requirements for all 3 recipes. It's very confusing to say the least. I wish the 2nd goal appliance shouldn't even show up until the first appliance requirements are done.

No, no, no. Don't sell any appliances!
You can put one or all of your appliances in storage. Just be sure you don't have a recipe cooking on it because you'll loose it if you put it in storage.
I switch out appliances all the time.

Did you cook the pecan tassies recipe? To open the turkey BBQ , you have to do all the required recipes on the autumn stove first. After you have completed the pecan tassies & ask your nbrs for 10 wood chips, then and only then will the BBQ be accessible for purchase.
Look on the first page of this thread to see most all of the steps. They are really helpful.

Sure it is.. I think you're asking is this worth investing time and will you get to a point you need cash to continue to progress? I'm level 50 and haven't spent a dime yet. I could go to 99 without spending a dime too. But when I get my tax back, I am going to splurge and buy a chestful of gems, just to go shopping with (and show a little love to TL for entertaining me all this time ;) ) You can earn quite a bit of gems as you play too, little rewards here and there, Goals, mastering recipes (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?61651-Recipes!), etc.

Well, when I said 8 hours, not necessarily 8 hours (I think I said that meaning I need 8 hours min sleep and enough time to click it again before it spoils). Keep in mind food spoilage is the same amount of time it takes to cook. So if you cook a 4 hour recipe, you have 8 hours (4 hours to cook, 4 hours to sit on stove until you tap it and serve it to counter, before it spoils). If you like to sleep in like me, I tend to try to find a 5 hour recipe just to be safe (total of 10 hours before it spoils).

Did you prepare the 3rd recipe on the autumn oven? The pecan tassies? You need to prepare & serve the required amount if pecan tassies before the turkey BBQ becomes available.

Those goals have expired. If TL re-releases those goals, you will be able to unlock that table at that time. However, there has been no announcement when or if any previous goals will be released again.

Right now, my options are to either spend 20 gems to bypass that task (which I would prefer not to do) or expand my restaurant four times (I doubt I'll be able to get enough coins before the goal expires, and again, I would rather save my gems for purchasing gem-only items).

We should be able to replace existing floor tiles the same way, IMO. I'm not fully expanded and I've bought the max floor tiles for my place. So, is my only option to expand my restaurant or cough up the gems to bypass this goal?

I think it's ok, perhaps you can add in "Restaurant Story" under Subject. In your request, please let the Agent know that you're unable to select RS so they may consider to add that into the selection. :)

No only Restaurant Story got Thanksgiving 2013 re-release last Wednesday, BS will hopefully most likely get Thanksgiving 2013 re-release on this Wednesday's update. Remember last month Halloween 2013 goals were released a week apart in both games on Wednesday updates.

My problem ticket remains "Open" as at 6 days.
I'm just wondering if anyone at Storm8 is looking at my ticket? What's the standard turnaround time to get a reply, or even an interim response?
I need a definitive answer as to whether or not I can proceed with this goal, thanks.

I don't know for sure, but generally you need to be at level 12 to get the monthly goals. Not sure if it was different back in 2014 though.
