With breeding anubis x night trying for vampire I got 4-5 illusions. Soon ill begin craft my jade, crafted tigerseye already.
Btw now I use every times boosted breed.

Ok, it was worth a thought anyway. Sorry I couldn't help though. I can't imagine why she wouldn't have it but strange things always seem to happen with this game.

BMB stands for bash, magic, bash. The + s stand or the strength of the hit reflected in the damage done to the opponent dragon. I firmly believe that the dragon selection and level of dragon you choose makes a huge difference, however, the choice of bash or magic as the attack method does not seem to be very reliable. It seems to be random - and thus 50/50 as to which one works better. Perhaps they work equally. ? I don't worry about the attack method. Generally I bash first, then if my opponent uses magic, so do I. Black dragon's magic just looks cool, so I like to use it. :)

++ is 40-60 per cent damage
+++ is 1 B or M destroyed the tournament dragon


Different dragons have different strengths and weaknesses. (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?58319-Please-do-not-post-outside-links)
Tournament dragons in later rounds are always higher than level 10. Doesn't matter if you use your best dragons against it

With mostly level 7 dragons you may struggle in the later rounds but lots of people use lower level dragons very successfully.

Have a go and have fun and if you don't win this tournament you will win one at some point.

For the future you should try to level as many of your dragons up to 10 as possible.

BMB is Bash, Magic, Bash. Those moves were used in this particular battle. The ++ & +++ tells you how much damage each hit did. +++ being critical. I'm not sure of a good replacement for ninja, maybe someone else can tell you that. As for your level 7 dragons- sometimes it seems like level doesn't matter BUT I would try to look at what everyone has used so far & try to level up any of those dragons that you do have. Hi. I understand that you are new to the Tournaments.
I remember that my first tournament was really frustrating: I always hadn't the dragon others used or it was of lower levels and I wasn't able to see the end of any tournaments.
All our friends here in the forum have so many more dragons and from time to time TL introduce new dragons or take away others.
There are also the dragons that you have to defeat in the tournaments ( as Valkyrie or Ninja) or else buy through market.
Basically to win against opponent dragons you need to match them with the most suitable dragon (as for element, rarity and level) you have.
On this forum and through the web you can find very nice and helpful hints or battle arena calculators.
In any case you will be able to collect some schytes and hopefully some gold.

I'm having issues winning as well. I've lost both of the first two rounds I've played so far on the first try. First my Epic Eagle to the Fire dragon, then my level 8 Ruby to Poison. This doesn't bode well! Usually I only lose once, maybe twice, during the first 10 rounds.

In the case of Saturn, past experience and other battle directions say that any combination of purple, white or purple/white is the best. Fairytale, black and yellow are the worst. Look at your stable of dragons and pick the one that uses the "good" colors, does not use the "bad colors" and is the highest level dragon you have in that category. After that - it is simply luck. I wish you the best.

For Dino, use something red. Fire, Titan, scorpion have worked in past.

Dino is rare. Try o use a dragon that is at least rare if you can. Use the highest level dragon you can within the category deemed best. Dino is beaten most often by red or stone dragons. Cosmic and gemstone are bad choices. In the past I have successfully beaten Dino with Firestorm, Fire, planet and Fireworks.

This tournament is tough so far, each opponent I've had to battle at least twice! Baby fire beat Atlantis and Water (Mist took him down). Baby Poison took 2 goes and now baby coral has beaten emerald and fairy!

After lvl 20, the impossible ones appear.Prism is a tuff one I know.
Try your Forest1 or Fire1 for those difficult Diamond Breeds. Even Diamond Breeds can lose to the TL Diamond Breeds.

Yes Black gems are not easy to collect. Unless we trade our Black Dragons.
Best is to get extra Black Super rare ones, and trade for a Large Onyx.
I have two Goblins but am reluctant to trade them too .

Am I right in assuming that I won't get to keep battling for metal dragon when this tournament is over? Should I trade the scythes or keep them?

Every Tournament has 30 rounds. If get tougher and tougher as we progress.
You can trade the scythes once you collect 99 of them.
This Tournaments gives you the Nano.
Try not to use your gold since you are quite New. Seek advise here all the time.
See what others have done and copy them too.

While i do sympathize (a lot), the gladiator was listed as limited for a bit and disappeared a fair bit back (2 weeks?). They've left it in the spell shop in order to give people who did manage to scrape together the needed morningstars a chance to finish.

I looked in the trading post and the spell shop and could not find where you could convert the scythe to small black gems. Please help me to do this. I have lots of scythe, morningstars & leviathan pearls left.:)

You must collect 99 scythes, craft a spirit dragon and then trad the dragon. If it is a higher evolved dragon, it might bring a large black gem. Level 6 and under seem to trade or a small black gem.

The Leviathan pearls and morning stars simply join the collections of leaves and such that I toss on the compost heap. They are worthless, now.

My Ninja lost to lvl 2 Golem in round 4. Used Atlantis to beat it.
Other than that I am still careful.

In addition to all the great friends on this post, you can try dragon-story.wikia.com
Search for battle arena. It has colors to use as well as a battle calculator. Enter the opponent & it's level and the calculator gives you the best possible dragons to use.
It's not always 100% but at least you'll have ideas of which dragons to use

How will I know the strength of my dragon if it is B, M,++,+++,

Where can i find it please :-). Because im having trouble in battle arena which dragon i use for my enemy.
I did got some hints and points on here which opponent i use but sometime i dont have that dragon for my enemy.

Each tournament has a different roster of opponent (enemy) dragons. Each round in a specific tournament has a specific enemy for you to defeat (except one annotation in a past tournament). Look to see what your opponent is. Then close the arena and check the "strength/weakness" lists at which others have aimed you. Each color of dragon has a list of colors that it cannot fight well against as well as a list of colors it defeats quite well. Select your dragon by finding one of your dragons which has at least one of the "strong" colors and, hopefully, none of the weak colors. Select the dragon that is evolved to the highest level. When battling, the outcome is determined by a set of odds/percentages. You can pick the "best" dragon, yet still lose. It is all odds at that time. If you lose, put your defeated dragon in the healing spring to heal it and try again. Good luck. :)

The pluses are simply the amount of damage inflicted in a single blow by THAT PARTICULAR DRAGON FOR THAT PARTICULAR PERSON IN THAT PARTICULAR BATTLE. They do not mean that your dragons will give you the same results, even if you have a dragon that is EXACTLY the same level.

Search for battle arena. It has colors to use as well as a battle calculator. Enter the opponent & it's level and the calculator gives you the best possible dragons to use.
It's not always 100% but at least you'll have ideas of which dragons to use
