You craft it in the forge with ten gold nuggets.

While it has been awhile, and I forget the actual process, I was able to craft two bars. Once I started the crafting process, that option disappeared, and now I would need to buy them.....which because they are nearly decorations, I am not likely to do, unless I am obscenely rich in coins!

My mum's kingdom is a bit poor. When she got up to the crafting the first bar I asked her if she was more concerned about using nuggets or lots of money. She ended up crafting two with nuggets and have left the others alone at this stage.
