Both new dragons & decorations look great. I don't mind if they only create 3 dragons. Allows me to have Habitats for the rare dragons I still need to breed :-)

So freaking mad right now!!:mad: I bought that golden road and it took 200 gold from me. WHY ON EARTH DOES A ROADWAY COST 100 GOLD PER PIECE?! Freaking insane is what it is!!! I hope to god this is a mistake because otherwise I'll be SO upset!
Oh and btw, IT DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! Just a simple decoration. RIDICULOUS!!!:mad:

While the $6 mil habitats aren't always my favorite why does the price show that TL is out of touch? Just because people want things cheaper? It's not like someone at a really low can get it by chance - like a rainbow or gemstone - so what's the problem? By the time i hit level 60 or 65 i was making at almost a million a day. I know people ho keep a much larger pie of cash laying around than i do
Sorry, but i jim this is fairly simple: if you can't afford it then don't breed it. I'm not going to.

It looks like purple, diamond, and possibly blue. Try Aether, Amethyst, Anubis, Angel, Athletic, Atlantis.

Yeah..see, i didn't have a problem with the priceuntil they changed it. Now it just seems like they either made a pretty basic mistake or they were still in beta with it using us as guinea pigs again. I sincerely hope that anyone who paid the higher price gets a full refund.
Next, the decoration doesn't do anything? As opposed to the other things listed as decorations which all get up and do a short song and dance number? Nothing that's listed as a Decoration ever does anything, if it does something in-game it goes under Buildings.
And despite what i said above, I did go ahead and buy the habitat after all. Actually, my 8 year old asked me to; I had no choice. ;) i also got it first try, going simple as always: Light & Water.

There are a few that I do like but seriously, I could do without most of them. Anyway, if this is another proper element then there could be some really cool looking dragons come out of it :D

Sorry neighbor, but i'm pretty sure it's based on Charm, not Poison. I, too, don't like the Poison design and this just isn't it. Now, the Wraith we both just got IS based on Poison and suffers for it. ;)

I got water X light = 8 hours. PLEASE tell me it isn't a fuzzy..... Argh. I have bred 4778768768756745354357798 water dragons in a row trying for the elusive mercury. I have spent millions upon millions of coins boosting the breeding, only to get water. I was FINALLY hoping that my brief foray away from mercury would yield a metal. Last two metal tries were water, also!!! *eyes spinning in my head* !!!!!

Indeed, pure Diamond paired with a blue-white hybrid will not produce Metal Dragon. The white must be from one side of the den and the blue from the other side.

Yes, and no. It WAS possible early this year, before the massive onslaught of unicolors bred from combined elements. The breeding rules for these compound elements has since changed in several ways. One of the changes is that you cannot breed the base dragon of a compound element unless the required elements are on opposite sides of the den.
While there are some downsides to this, one benefit from this is that you no longer get as many accidental breedings of Virtue, Night, etc.
One important exception, of course, is that you can get any breedable unicolor dragon (like Metal) by pairing two pure Diamonds.

Delete your game and reinstall it. HOpe it helps to improve the odds.

It took me five tries with water and light, so not too difficult compared to getting other dragons. Keep at it and I'm sure you'll eventually get it!

If you can afford it, it might be worth it to try a boosted breed. There's only two possibilities: Winter & Metal, with Winter being common and Metal, rare.
It worked for me; first try.

Water X light = metal boosted breed first time. I tried all kinds of "fancy" combos - dream, ethereal, etc, but the simple sometimes seems the best. Mjauuuu has given good advice. :) good luck!
(although "simple" has NOT worked on diamond X water. Boosted or not, I get 456567887657645654564 waters. Sigh. )

Yes, it was. For some reason it changed to 1mil almost immediately with no explanation. Check out the first or second page of this thread for similar comments at the time. Hope you didn't get stuck paying the higher amount!

I did not start breeding metal dragon so I didnt bought habitat yet. Still 3 more halloween dragon to breed and since I fear they will be limited soon, I try for them until I can.

No, the level of the dragons is irrelevant. So is which side you place what. Nor does the rarity of the dragons used. Just keep trying with Light & Water. If you can afford to do a boosted breed, go or it. Light & Water only gives 2 possibilities: Winter & Metal, and only Metal is rare so this is one of the few cases where i would recommend used the boost. It worked for e first try.

I paired Mercury with Light for my Metal Dragon with, surprisingly, no fails. I think this is the only dragon using the Charm form that doesn't look like it has some kind of spinal dystrophy.Again, since it reminds me so much of cast metal 3D puzzles, I named mine Hanayama!
No luck so far with it's dark cousin. Darksteel, Raven, Vampire or even NightElf should eventually emerge from the metal-black-purple-blue pool, but so far, we are building an endless coral reef, and I have yet to see any of those black dragons. I'm leaving the metal component out for now because the last thing I need is a Luck or Moon egg.

Man, I wish I had known this earlier! Are there other dragons that have this breeding rule?? Seems unusual to me. I wasted most of the free boosted breed weekend trying for metal with this blasted combo before I figured it out (I was trying diamond x winter because I still need angel and mercury too).

OK - never mind. That seems to be a pretty standard rule actually (you can't get leo from diamond x bat, you can't get royal from diamond x genie, you can't get magic from diamond x athletic, etc). I just wasn't thinking it through. Urgh.

Seriously? Since when? It's always been that you can put diamond and a hybrid in and you get another version of the hybrid or a diamond hybrid (though adding the possibility of a diamond hybrid only happened in the last year)

You can definitely get two or three color hybrids from diamond x hybrid, I just don't think you can get a new single element dragon (royal, metal, etc) from diamond x hybrid. Like: water x light can give metal, but diamond x winter will only give winter, mercury, or angel (no metal). I forgot this rule and tried diamond x winter with the boosted breed several times hoping for metal but only got winter, took me a minute to realize what my problem was.
Does anybody know which elements/colors are weak against metal? In other words, when would you select a metal-type dragon as your contender?
Dream Dragon has returned for a limited time to add a possible fail to your attempts at Metal. But hey, she's super-rare.

So what about Dark Angel/Metal to get Dark Steal? That should still work though right?

I got metal first try with Light and Water, both level 10. I bred it using the boosted breed, if that helps. It's been a very long time since I got a dragon on the first try so this was nice.

Yes, that will still work. It's a good combo if you want another Dark Angel, Angel or Mercury as possible outcomes. Otherwise, it would be no different from pairing Metal with Night, Lotus, NightElf or Raven.

Seeing as I've missed out on Mischeif dragon, I'm now gonna start breeding for this element. Gonna use water/light combo, seeing as people are getting good results from it :)

Good combo, got it first time :) speeded up the breeding to check and whoop :) gonna let it hatch itself tho, whilst the habitat builds. Gonna try for another base now. I'm thinking fairy tale :)
