i think i might have stared at the diamond section a bit too long, but i think i figured something out.

could it be that...

crusader's design is based on dragons of the european myths

i have no clue about dark angel, unicorn and prism. and helios would obviously be based on greek dragons but they don't look alike :(

Well,
Dark Angel would probably be also Native American As it is the opposite of angel.
Unicorn is Greek Mythology
Prism is a Geometric Figure that reflects light to make a rainbow and math is from wayyyy back when :P
Helios is greek.

Wow so many cultures that have no contact with each otherembraced the same mythical being. I wonder whether dragons exist in some similiar form?
