Any way to get lots of mermaid scales, quickly?

I need tons of Enchanters Essence but I can't seem to get more than 3 mermaid scales a day. I already have 2 ponds and a well. Should I just buy a ton of them or is there another way?

Buying more ponds will definitely help, I find the ponds work best for me. Collect from them as much as possible. Try having at least six ponds and see how that works. Good luck.

I like the wells better. While they do take time to craft, and the necessary resources, they recharge quicker, and I see no difference in resource drop rate.

I've got 5 ponds and 6 wells, which was a challenge to landscape with. If I collect from all 11 one after the other I can get anywhere from 3 - 5 scales, or once in a while none at all. If I don't collect from all of them as a group, my luck is not so good.

Personally I go for wells as they're smaller and faster.
