Anyone else's skunkupines go extinct?

I need the tails for the spicy feast. I've seen one lovecupine, and zero skunkupines the past 4-5 days and am constantly doing the things that are supposed to trigger them. Am I just 'lucky'? Or do they want me to spend gems on tails?

Try planting some wheat or corn. They usually appear when harvesting.

just make sure you are not maxed out on either before you harvest. I found out the hard way that they don't appear if you are maxed and just get coins :(
