Hi Aggwyn! My Royal Exchange trade is grayed out and locked saying y inventory is full. I went and looked at your list of items and I'm at or under 66 for all of them. Forced closed, etc.

Just giving a heads up on this in case its a bug. TIA

Great to see a big update again. It feels more like the game was before we all reached level 30 as it's more challenging. Would have liked to see a level upgrade too as that's all this update was missing.

Living in the UK we're obviously ahead of you guys timewise so the update didn't come here until 8pm tonight just as I got home from work. Perfect timing for me to be able to sit and do the expansions and carry out some of the quest line but not so good for my stomach as before I left work I was soooo hungry and couldn't wait to get home for food but upon checking CS and seeing the update I was so excited I forgot about my hunger - until 45 mins later when I'd finished doing what I could then nearly ate my arm off. More updates TL so then I can forget about food and lose a few pounds instead. Very happy right now :)

Hi, I've been lurking first awhile on the forums but its my first time posting. Would somebody mind posting pictures of the first dialog that starts the new quest if there is any? Nothing popped up at all for me and I only realized I had a new quest when it showed 'progress' next to the button to see the quests after I collected from Sabina's place as usual. I did stumble upon the jeweler's trade and started that no problem. I'm just wondering how the glimmer gate tales were introduced

It's almost Friday! And that means a new Castle Story update! Here is what's going out today:

- New Royal Exchange Trade called the "Jeweler's Trade". Players can now trade in Water, Glimmerdust and Jewels in exchange for Iron Ore, Silver Ore, Mithril, and Adamant.
- 3 New Expansions are available
- The Glimmergate is now accessible
- Part 1 of the Glimmergate quest series is available this week

Just dandy. I've been stocking up on every other type of dish needed for adventures, except the dark cave ones. I'd done about twenty of those, no joke, in three weeks and stopping two weeks ago. When I started waiting for the new goal lines. Then I have ivy all of my rat tails. Should hold her potion book hostage until she gives me some more.

I shoulnt have to CLARIFY this, but Yes and NO, the quest is CRAFT the things, which means, if you want to keep one of each like I do just for the lulz, do NOT check ". READ the Legendary Key Scroll (by good lighting!)", the quest WILL autocomplete when you CRAFT (which in reality, means collect from the magic forge), WHATS MORE.

So in reality if you want to stay true to your word AND keep one of each item, you need to craft NOT 2, but 5, 2 for the KEY, two for YOUR Key, that will stay in your inventory, and one for the enchanted item.

And yes, in case its not obvious enough, the glimmergate is still not available to collect after all this.

If a mod could merge this images (you may skip this mini obvious message) to my post in the first page it might save people from repeating this information over and over and over.

Now we are to watch for Griselda and I don't know anything. But I will watch the boards until someone posts the dialogue that I suspect I missed.

I'm just so happy with the expansions and Glimmergate! :)) Since I now placed almost every building I had in store back to my actual kingdom of course it is full again ;-) - so please keep on giving more expansions lol :) - I find Castle Story finally FUN again. So happy with the new goals as well!

There was no dialogue regarding the actual fairy tale. After going to Sabinas house to read it the quest went straight onto the role playing adventures. So no info was given about the glimmer gate so far meaning none of us are any wiser about the details of it at the moment

The dialog in this update is very funny. I love how my avatar is trying to be fair-minded while this lady is turning out to be so suspicious. Maybe she just has a scary face? (Wishful thinking, I know)

Force close did not work however, I've noticed that there is an update for Castle Story in the Apple Store and when I updated the game....walllaaa here comes the quest line for the fairy tale AND the Joustine Arena ( I was wondering for weeks why I'm not getting the Arena unlocked- confused face) :)

No. I'm doing the "Barracks" quest line without having the Barracks. You just have to wait for the first quest in the barracks quest line to expire, then hit the "finish" button, and the rest of the quest line will continue. When you have a quest about sending your knights on __fill in the blank __ adventure, just send them using your king's keep or your queen's keep.

Futhermore, the this weeks update (with the Glimmergate) is unrelated to the Barracks quest line.

I'm not far in as yet,but from what I have read you need the following:

2 Enchanted iron bars
2 Enchanted silver bars
2 Enchanted mithril bars

I'm really loving this update, having felt so exited about CS since when I first started playing. Enjoying the storyline, it truly does feel like I'm going on a quest/adventure with my character :D
There's gonna be a new monster...a golem (wonder what that looks like), and other new things we encounter. Ohh so looking fwd to experiencing the storyline! ;)

Does anyone know if when going on the adventures to retrieve the key scroll you can only get it from the dark caves as I know they've said that's where it is but previously when they've suggested you can only get rare items from certain adventures it turned out you could get them from any. Just wanna know if I just should stick to making spicy feasts for time being. Thanks

nice one.. i crafted all the enchanted stuff, needed for the Key of Doors, started making the key in my magic forge, and guess what happened ?
after a few minutes the magic forge was totally EMPTY and the bars are all gone

Its possible you had a sync issue. Did you just return to the game, did the loading knight appear after you collected? I've have this before and missed out on things. Sometime they reappear in you inventory. I hope that you haven't lost them.

yes, i did close the app totally and restarted the app and my ipad, but no change in the situation
feels like robery , this also happend to me when i moved my valentine chicken and my cariadge (both bought with gems) .
they were gone forever, cause tamlava just replies on requests with standardized text and never to the problem itself.
it should be no more than fair if they fix these problems by putting the items back in the game (i know this is possible, but they have to want to do it..)

I actually got mine before I started the quest! I sent my knights out on the Dark Caves adventure for the barracks quest line then, on the same day, got as far as the Dark Caves part of this update. I thought I'd have to send the knights out again for the scroll so was amazed when they brought it back the next morning! Bizarrely, it meant I had the 'find the library scroll' part checked off before the 'go to the Dark Caves' part!! Needless to say, my knights got extra rations that day! :D Lucky, yes, but I did have to go on the desert adventure for over three weeks for my burning ember so I guess it was my turn for a bit of good fortune!

it took me about a month to getthe burning ember,.. I hope the scroll isn't going to take that long. it takes me a day or more to make the feast for the adventure :(

Started my 4th adventure today as well. It better be there tomorrow or those knights are gonna get a piece of my mind and a lot fewer rations.

Also checked my castle this morning to find no scroll. Now sending knights on their 5th try and am also disgusted some get the item on the first try (just like the darn horn & ember it seems) while lonely red-headed step children like us are made to endure the favoritism of the blond, blue-eyed love child.
So it builds character but this is a game that's supposed to be fun but that just makes it really hard to enjoy under such circumstances.
I think my knights have a secret meeting place in the dark caves where they spend their time drinking & having a high ol' time.

No, he probably doesnt, but dont take my word for it, I DO though, as I explained in post #49 http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?59709-Castle-Story-10-10-2013-Update/page5

Once you craft the key... well its only obviously the bars are gone just as every raw materials are gone when you craft something that requires them, and the baron steals the key from you, I dont know if he gives it back and I dont know if you use it on next part of the quests.

So if you want to keep one enchanted bar in your inventory and the key, you need to do as I did and craft 5 enchanted bars of each king, and then craft 2 keys

You can try to recover your games by doing a self transfer

If you have problems transferring yourself you can contact support@teamlava.com (support@teamlava.com) so they can get your games back.
Give them your current storm ID and let them know what happened.
Also go ahead and set up a new storm ID on your game and give them this temp ID so they will be able to transfer you original games back to your device.

I can't even read the name of it, as it's to long to display. Mine reads "Mysterious..." so I don't know what it is or how to get it. In an effort to get some, I've ****ed a dozen more trolls but haven't gotten any of whatever this is. So I'm curious how you guys are getting it (short of spending 160 gems of course.) Thanks for any input!

It is really frustrating at times, the burning ember being the worst. I still don't have that on my iPhone game and my iPad one took weeks to drop. As long as I can progress normally on one of the games at any given time, then it's not too bad. It's just when both stall at the same point that it gets really frustrating. Usually the rare random drops are the cause of it. I never use gems to skip these random drops, no matter how frustrating it gets. My iPhone game still only has 2 alicorn wings and no horn, yet my iPad game has 2 alircorns.

I have used gems that I saved up from goals (other TL games) to get the alicorn wing. It was funny that 2 days later I received a wing from an adventure, so I was able to craft another alicorn with another horn that I already had in inventory.

Number 8 did not drop the scroll. So now I'm working towards getting number 10 ready in case number 9 does not drop the scroll. I guess we all have to remember that the wait is temporary in this game we love to play!

That sounds about right. I've given priority to the kitchen trying to make as many meals as possible for the dark adventure. I haven't gotten a good drop from the adventures in over 2 weeks. I'm due.

It should store im your inventory. If it isn't showing up in your quest box, force close the game and it should show your progress, failing that when you click on the habitat to upgrade, it'll tell you how many you have recieved.

Any tips on how to get Mithrills quickly? I used up the 10 I had right before this update to upgrade my mine... It's going to take weeks if not months to get that number back up to 10 again since they rarely drop from anything for me and I don't exactly get 50 silver ore per day either :/

Mithril drops quite common from the jeweler trade, you can get even 2 in a single trade.

Yeah I've been doing that trade since yesterday. Wanted to expand, needed an expansion permit and noticed that there was such a trade. Can't believe I hadn't seen it until now! Thanks for your reply, I guess it won't be taking this long now :)

I am stuck on monkey in the middle. Has this question been answered, if so, i am sorry i missed it. Goal says go to Glimmergate but then u have already expanded. Ive tried restarting, etc.

Any suggestions, please?

Sorry I can't remember the specific quest, but have you collected from the glimmer gate or gone on the glimmer gate adventure in the castle?

Do you have forgotten roost already? Glimmer gate does not trigger without expanding to roost first.

I got the scroll today after following JayUK69's advise I got the scroll. I force started the game and checked th adventure as first thing. I must say I'm enjoying the game once again. As I started in March there haven't been too much boring periods for me. Nevertheless I'm fired up again.

Is there a picture somewhere of the actual expansion area for Glimmergate? I don't show one there that has the same requirements listed above for Glimmergate. 3000 RP, etc. Do I have to expand to the one above it for the Glimmergate expansion to open? Thanks.
