You sometimes get free games to download.

Fire can get gold from the quest... But that almost never happens.

Gifts from neighbours.

There isn't a lot of opportunities to get gold in DS.

What dragons are you trying to get? The vast majority can be obtained without using gold.

You mean like Magic, Night, Virtue and the hybrids? You can breed those for free :) The only ones you'd need to spend gold on would be the ones with an actual 'gold' type, such as Treasure or Goldwing. Maybe Clockwork too if you're on android.

I see you found the add me thread... Just to let you know that there is a limit of 3 gold for sending and 20 gold for receiving per day from neighbours.
