I just noticed this version was able to update, but now it won't open at all since I updated it. Maybe I updated too soon? I even uninstalled/reinstalled it and restarted my phone..still nothing.

Android. I had the one from last year still installed, and I noticed it had the option to upgrade in the Google Play store. But I can't find it if I search for it(besides in my app history)..so I wonder if it's just not ready yet.

Are you on IOS or android? I had the old Halloween version on my iPad but since the IOS update, none of the old games will work any longer since those versions haven't been updated to work with IOS7. And I so wanted to get more of the witches stoves and the monster ovens. Oh well.

Maybe (and this is just me guessing) TL is getting ready to push out Halloween versions? I always love those :) It is best to play on the most up to date - and I'm still not seeing an update for mine :confused:

LTOs are sent out randomly - device doesn't affect your chances of getting it.

On all the games android players have been mentioning not getting any LTOs. I don't remember if that usually means a new version is coming out. Not excited anyways. My game has been laggy, no free gems for me.

Android here I got all the update. But no gems. With to download. Maybe I shouldn't have downloaded it yet. Should I uninstall it again and wait for the prompt to download it. And could someone tell me if the zombie waitress or waiter is from this or last years update. Be a use it is still locked behind a goal.

I have to say, I am THRILLED with the update!!! So excited that I was able to update the Halloween version and see all of last years items available! I had been trying every single method I could think of to get it to download with no success and here it all is! Even the boxes!!!! I want to redo my entire place in everything, except I just did an extremely nice fall set up in the front!!! Yay!!!!! Woooo Hooo!! This made my day!!!!!

I don't see Halloween version offered in my App Store, I use an iPad. My friend has it on her iPhone but not pad either. I am hoping a moderator can tell me if it will be offered for iPads soon. Can hardly wait,thanks.

There isn't a Halloween version available on iPad, unless you had last years version (which would be many versions old, and its best to use the most up to date). I don't know if they will be releasing one, but I'm personally hoping for one as well :)

Ah, I figured out whats going on. I still had the original Restaurant Story installed. Uninstalled and installed the Halloween version. Didn't realized there was a new download available. Assumed it would show up in the regular version. Seems everything showed up on regular version, but the ghost peppers and devlish eggs needs the Halloween version to see them :D

Now I am just hoping they will give us an actual halloween version for ios so we can have all our customers wearing those awesome little costumes, and have all the outside of the places match the insides!! thanks again gusy you did more than hoped for with this update!! :)

Some of these recipes are only available at certain levels, around 62 - 65, cause they are still gray on my device with a little lock.. pumpkin soup, caramel apples, handburger are locked and I'm level 50+:(

Oh gee...I'm sorry about that. That just doesn't seem right since all holiday stuff should be available to all levels or least from level 25 or so.

Boy! I agree there! There are several really cute decorations that I would like to purchase, but thy too require levels in the mid 60s! I play a lot, but doubt I'll gain ~10 levels before Halloween.:p

I have the android Halloween edition and my outside looks just the same as the regular edition and my characters are not dressed up. Unless something is wrong with my version.....

wait a day or two more.. no you can't get it by uninstalling.
in case you still miss it, you can get the gems back by playing an old version RS (and other old games).
and these goals are android only btw.

I recently installed the old Halloween version of RS from the Amazon app store in order to get some of the items I missed from last year. I noticed they provided an updated Halloween version, which is great except I missed the 6 gem goal as well. One thing I noticed however, is that the surrounding scenery and guests are normal. I miss the Halloween costumed guests and the spooky scenery surrounding the restaurant. I wonder why TeamLava didn't include that this year? Hopefully we will see it in a weekly update!

it can't be in a weekly update.. the costumes are in the app, not online. i wander will they skip xmas costumes too? the thing is getting really boring.
seems like the 2012 halloween app also counts towards the goal.. altho it has given me the gems , but i haven't played the new app yet.. and no gems in fashion story, boo!! the only one where i need them

As far as different versions go, we play the game to cook and decorate. Not to look at Halloween houses in the background or customers with costumes. If we get them, great. If we don't, as long as we have real weekly new content, we should rejoice. It could always be worse.

Ill never understand anyone complaining about a background otherwise.

that is your opinion. Lot's of us like to do the decorating part of it just as much as the cooking. I for one loved having the Halloween and Christmas versions, the little town out there all decorated and so fun to look at.... I really hope they do the versions for the ios 7. I have friends and family playing on older ipods and phones and I am so jealous they can play those versions. I went to my restaurant on one of them and nearly cried seeing my little place in amongst all the cool Halloween decorations out on the streets. I have already said how much I do love the updates we have gotten this last week, but I really hope they bring back the actual Halloween version.

Today, my nbr said she has a goal to download restaurant story halloween to get 6 free gems. But i don't have that goal, why ? Is it bcuz i'm still keeping my old halloween version from last year ? And if i uninstall my old halloween version, will i get that goal (to install the new halloween version too) ?

Well it is now the 13th and I still dont have that goal either! And I always get it for new versions of games, why not now? I think team lava is sooo unfair to players the way they do things, some get goals for gems and not others, and some get gem sales but not others, makes no sense and is getting really old.

I'm curious if anyone on android who has had the old Halloween version has uninstalled it to get the new version. I kept the old to be able to buy the seasonal items but i was wondering if they would still be able to be purchased using the new Halloween version.
