Getting attacked while Shield is active!

Hi,

I just started playing Kingdom Clash and my three day shield is still active for another 12 hours, but I came back to my game just now and I got a notice that I was attacked and had lost 1 crown and some resources.
How is this possible?! Anyone any idea?

Oh and I forgot to say: I didn't start attacking anyone first. I'm still building my defenses...

It looks like your beginner's shield expired on 9/21/13. This left you open to attack. After a successful attack, you received an additional shield which you now see. Sorry for any confusion!
