Great work! I love those outfits, they are all great! I would love if my avatar could wear earrings and a necklace at the same time. The cell phone etc... Sound great thank you. I found last year as we haven't had Halloween and I didn't grow up with it, I didn't get much out of it. I love update day. I used to love the teasers too but they've stopped. Thanks again. :-) Happy Smile! ♥

I would really like to see this game venture off into other genres other than just "cute and safe" so I figured I'd come up with a rocker chick (metalhead) who comes with a guitar accessory \m/

Black leather mc jacket
Black dress
Short boots
Red guitar

While I was searching for metal chicks, I found a "Grunge Goddess" or two...

If I'm not mistaken, I believe this is Courtney Love - a grunge goddess to the core. That being said, I decided to leave the outfit alone

Now with this one on the other hand, I would say make the plaid shirt be tied around the waist. The denim jacket can either be worn like a regular jacket....or not be used at all

Voted for everything but Purple Romance and Spring Has Be***. I just love the edgy glam of Class to Night Out (though a change is in order), I absolutely love Fall in Love (very Electra Heart as I've stated before), and I obviously love the fact I made it to the polls once again :D

When you're as big of a geek as I am Halloween is year round. I've finally started selling Victorian and Japanese catalogues. But seriously, it's Halloween time!!!

I would just really like a real gothic theme (4 weeks, box, and goals) sometime before or after Halloween. please? not all players like cute and girly clothing, and we've been getting more than enough cute and girly clothing. also, we have never had a gothic or unconventional clothing theme before, so it's not repetitive. it's also a great time to add in new makeup catalogs ;)
I do like the fall in love catalog suggested (and the glam rocker one). :D and my favorite color is purple, so anything with purple in it would be ok with me too.

Vyxsin69

- small animal (puppy, kitten)

Oops, forgot to add...

- umbrella
- different poses
- clothes that we can edit (change the color)

With all these clothes ideas, what I'd love is for the clothes to be coins, or be less than ten gems. Too many thing in this game are for a high amount of gems, the racks, the closets, the counters, the clothes, the accessories. I literally had millions of coins and nothing to spend them on after a while, it's why I jumped ship to Restaurant Story.

I do especially like the name 'Butchered Roses', this one would go perfect with a gothic outfit. ;)

I'd love to see a variety of lower items in boxes. Lately it's mostly tables, chairs or couches.
What about dressing rooms, racks with scarfs, hats etc., cash registers, plants, small motor bikes, dogs, jewelry counters, collums, dividers and headless mannequins. More things instead of tables and sitting areas.
At least... Place some pillows or throws on the couches.

Personally, I would like to have a Hot Topic kind of store. Maybe there could be a goal where we get a goth outfit, a grunge outfit and a metalhead outfit. Complete with pictures to hang and other things to match the unconventional theme.

And I'm HOPING that if we do get this, that it comes before or after halloween so it doesn't become a "halloween theme" !

Do you know what we need?A Barbie theme. (Although I dislike blonde ) This is supposed to be a girly game, but where's the pink stuff? Some people here say that we have enough girly stuff in the game, but I don't see not even one catalogue in hot pink color. And I don't see beautiful pink decorations, except some box items. We need a hot pink dress, shoes, coat, bag, belt, accessories. Also more girly and feminine deco items please. Why not a Barbie or Dolly or Lolita theme. The game has almost nothing in pink.

I'm very happy that 3 of my suggestions were included in the poll and they also have the most votes, but I wish one of my pink outfits was included too.. I'm going to post some of them again later and I hope they'll have a better luck next time. :P

A Barbie theme is a fabulous idea! I've always loved Barbie, and still collect them. It would be great to have several Barbie mannequins, each in a different outfit. One with the original Barbie hair, eyes and ******d bathing suit is a must! Then perhaps a Barbie mannequin dressed in a classic outfit (After 5?). And what about a Christmas Barbie mannequin? Or a wedding Barbie mannequin? Plus we would need a wall display of Barbies in their boxes. I really hope that TL picks up on this idea!

I'm pretty sure Barbie is a registered trademark and Teamlava could be sued if anyone at Barbie found out they used her in their game. Its a long shot, but not worth the risk (thank god!)

I just opened FS and went through every outfit and there are 11 outfits that are pink. I didn't include the outfits that have pink accessories. I think we have enough pink.

Personally, now that its fall... I'd like to see some dark green, orange, dark yellow and plum colored clothing.

(...and goth/metal/punk/grunge! ;) )

andromedablack
09-26-13, 02:57 AM
Barbie is a registered trademark but dolls generally are not. :)

And really, where are those 11 outfits? Am I playing a different game? I'm asking for HOT PINK and FUCHSIA and no we don't have enough of these in FS. Does FS have a dress in a catalogue in hot pink? No. So don't say that we have enough pink just because you don't like pink.

Ic3e
09-26-13, 04:30 AM
Well, Vyxsin is right, we do have a lot of items that have pink as either an accent or a main color. Candy Shop is pastel pink/salmon, Summer Sweetheart's accented with a light pink, Slumber Party is wholly pink but even so, I see andromedablack's point. Remember I'm in for both parties, hardcore and heartcore, I love both.

Now about Barbie... I hate her because she's an archetype and because her beauty is something twisted and inhuman. I love her because... well she's beautiful (I'm such a hypocrite). Personally, I think I like these Barbie looks better:

Sunday Stomp: Hearts and Crossbones Sweater, Leopard Tights, Jeweled Heels, Artsy Bag

I like the Sunday Stomp outfit a lot, but does her poor little pup really need a costume? I don't think so. Not a fan of the Kiss With a Fist outfit. Since I had my Barbie dolls in the 60's (of course I had the original 59 doll), I prefer the classic outfits. But that's just one woman's opinion.

Amen!!! There's still nothing extremely girly that you and me, and many many other girls have really been wishing to see in Fashion Story. Think Legally Blonde movie if you need inspiration to what I'm talking about. For a game that caters primarily to girls, it's not girly enough. That's right I said it, bring on the feminine items, clothing, decor, accessories and what not. Have an entire Feminine Chic theme if you would, and we could all get our sweet sugal pills we need so badly in this game. It finally happened in Bakery when they had the Tea Party theme and we all applauded to TL for doing so. Fashion Story customers are still waiting for that day.

@ Ic3e, come on, you know what I mean, you have designed I want the world which is exactly what I'd love to see in the game. Candy shop is pastel not hot pink, summer sweetheart is not a pink catalogue and slumber party is pyjamas not clothes!

@CuteTali, yes,we want exactly the same things and it's true we don't have really beautiful feminine stuff in the game. In Bakery we have much more cute, pink, sweet and girly stuff. I wish Valentine's day was sooner to get some pretty girly stuff, because this doesn't seem to happen earlier.

We need a girly / feminine theme, with pink stuff, flowers, hearts, ribbons, bows, feathers, diamonds, romantic decorations, pink dressing room, princess mirror, things like these. Also some cosmetics displays like perfume display, lipsticks display, hair accessories display, and a runway display with formal dresses.

Also I mixed my suggestions in one pink outfit:

Sweet & Dolly:
Pink dolly dress
Hot pink pumps
Glitter heart bag
Sweethearts earrings

I guess I must be playing a different game because all I see in mine are dresses and more pink than any other color....though I think black and blue are close runner ups. Don't get me wrong, I like girly...sometimes. I would just like the game to cover other fashion trends besides the one we always seem to get, which is why I'm pushing for goth/punk/grunge/metal. I should add skater to that list.

Anyway, I had forgot all about the "Tokidoki Barbie". I've seen her before and happen to like her, head to toe....including her pink hair and tattoos. Though I wouldn't suggest copying her EXACT look since shes still a copyright. But yes, I'd like to see something simular in the game.

Vyxsin69, both of those coats are absolutely gorgeous! And I understand what both of you guys are saying about the whole pink clothing issue. What we need is a really feminine ( like ridiculously girly) theme, and an edgy, dark theme. It'd be the best of both worlds :)

Heres a girly outfit that I really like. I like the flower/pearls on the pocketbook and the stitching on the sweater. Dare I say it....I even like the bow and weaving on the shoes. You could even change the color to a soft "blush" kind of color. Pink, but very light and subtle.

Girly enough for people like us. At least give her points for liking an outfit with a metallic handbag, golden accessories (omg pearls), floral earrings, and one of the girliest shoes out there... flats. Sure brown/beige not that girly but you would see it in a girly outfit if it had pink to pair up with it. Faded jeans are too girly... during autumn and winter. Thats girly for me. I'm a tomboy which usually means I'm in jeans, sneakers and a regular oversized tshirt. I never wear dresses, skirts or shoes. I don't think I even own anything pink (then again I don't own anything purple and its my favorite color). So to me, pearls and flowers and flats with bows is girly to me.

I really like the pink coat. The black is nice too, but I'd prefer to be beige instead. The outfit that Vyxsin posted is not girly for me but I can see that for people with different style it can be considered girly.
Personally I prefer dresses and skirts than jeans both in game and real life. Even in winter I prefer to wear dresses, skirts and shorts or leggings. I find jeans uncomfortable because the only ones I like are the super skinny ones. But last winter I bought a "jeggings " I really loved.

OUCH! Lol. I shall agree with you: the handbag, earrings, shoes, tee and scarf are quite girly. I only called her out on the grey hoodie and faded jeans. Personally, I would never wear pink flats with bows nor floral earrings. I don't do "girly." I prefer dark blue or black skinny jeans, black boots or my animal print flats, even camo print tops with olive green short skirts. And no, I would not wear a flirty summer skirt in the winter. I wear short denim skirts with tights and boots, or big sweaters with leggings and boots in the winter. But I don't expect anyone else to dress the way I do, nor do I expect everyone to like the same fashions that I do. Perhaps faded jeans are back in fashion now, but to me, they are too reminiscent of the 90's fashion sense. My posts are merely one woman's opinion, and I thank you for allowing me to express them.

Love this outfit, especially the dress, it's so sweet. I agree, we need more hearts, bows, ribbons and all that cute stuff we expect to see in a fashion game.

Woulda thought that Vintage Valerie might have appealed too you, it is half pink. Just Glam too, it's pretty feminine but I know, not exactly girly, that's why I said feminine. Don't see why you should hate on Disco, I love the Disco! The 1980s is my favorite decade :D (Yet again I love 80% of the 20th century but y'know whatever ;D)

Ok girls and guys. Lets keep things from getting personal. If you love any of the suggestions that's great - share the love. If there's ones that you really don't like feel free to say what you prefer. Remember that everyone has different tastes and things that suit them.

So sharing the love - I love all the different suggestions that get put forward. There's some that I'd love to wear (or have/had similar stuff) and others that wouldn't suit me but would look great on other people I know.

Personally I'd like to see some dresses like these are a bit of work wear.

The green and white houndstooth has potential. I love black and white houndstooth. I would love to see a b&w houndstooth mini with an oversize sweater (fisherman's knit perhaps?), black tights and boots.

Please tell me if I'm wrong Ic3e, but in my day, go-go boots were always white patent leather. Perhaps they've been updated to include other colors and fabrications. I think the green houndstooth jumper would look slammin' with the true retro, white patent leather go-go boots.

Actually Just Glam has nothing glam about it, the dress totally looks like a table cloth my grandma used to have on her coffee table. The name really doesn't fit the outfit at all. Vintage Vallrie may have some faded pin kin it, but the rise is way too high and the lengh is too short, the model in it looks really dorky wearing it this way. Maybe if it was pulled down to a hip level and ending closer to knee lengh. The missmatching blouse and the sporty shoes really ruin it too for me. But I can see what you mean if it was taken down to a reasonable level/lengh and paired with soemthing more chic.

Yeah they are but now in modern days, it can be colored since they're made of faux leather. White go-go's would be pretty rad but I just said mint so it could at least differentiate itself from last year's Halloween catalog, Disco Queen. Disco Queen had white boots.

Well then it's Vintage Glam :) 70s Glamour would love a dress like that. Vintage Val doesn't look that mismatched, it's 80s Skater Girl, ever seen Back to the Future? Oh well, it's fine I guess, if I can't seem to change your mind who am I to keep rambling on?

I'm just a bit hipster, I love the irony in girly yet also boyish catalogs. That's why I like boots or sneakers with skirts (knee length with boots is a fashion do).

I happen to think that the dress in Just Glam is very girly. I would prefer if it were short (short version of the dress is similar to what I wore to my 8th grade graduation). I would also prefer different shoes, flats? Different bag, clutch? Different necklace, simple pearls. And I agree with you: the 80's had some of the best fashions! It was more than disco, though. But not sure if TL is ready to bring back shoulder pads. :)

Oh, yes. I'm definitely aware of New Wave fashion. Jackets with shoulders pads, bodysuits with legwarmers, spandex tights, flats and wingtip shoes, mini skirts, I love New Wave! It was the sexond fashion that defined the 80s!

I never said skater dresses were for people who skate, not sure where you get this from. I know what skater dresses are like and I have many many of them in my closet, it's one of my favorite types of dresses to wear, because of their versatility, comfort and style.
I like he first one with the flowers, including the cute sunglasses, the hair do is adorable, even the shoes. I also like the raspberry dress in the second picture, the bow is oversized, I would probably move it to the side of the neckline or add a black cardigan/jacket, just to make it blend it and not seem so out of place. The shoes in this one are an interesting contrast, only thing I don't like are the lacey leggings.

Ic3e, I don't know if you were around in the 80's, but it was a great time for fashion. I had so many suits and dresses with shoulder pads--and the bigger the shoulders, the better. And don't forget the peplum! Peplums on blouses, dresses and jackets. Jumpsuits were also popular in the 80's. I didn't wear flats back then, it was high heels for me: from basic pumps in all colors to variations of the ankle strap heel. It was definitely a fun fashion decade.

OMG Vysxin, you are actually posting some cute stuff that I kind of like! I don't like the color purple at its basic shade, I think it's too harsh of a shade, but I really like the plum color you chose for posts #73 #74 #82, it's my Fall favorite this year. I don't care what Pantone says about emerald green (I personally think they're just trying to get rid of a huge stock of that awful color from their warehouses), plum is way more flattering on any skin tone and goes with a lot more clothing colors. I see plum as neutral in not being too girly and not too boyish and I can pair it with black, or navy or silver, or beige, or grey, or light pink, or even brown or teal or mustard yellow and it always looks great. Now if only I had one of those thumbs up things to click on to like it :)

I also like the style of the outfits in #81, it's a bit retro and I like how you chose a bold red to contrast the black & white.

But you guys are so confusing lol. I'm still trying to figure out whats so boyish about post #42. Whats boyish about bows, flowers and pearls? Granted, the brown color is a bit "bleh"...but thats why I said to make the scarf and bag a blush-pink color. Maybe make the sweater a little darker gray, or even white. I personally wouldn't wear it....not because I don't like it, but simply cause I'm took much of a tomboy to pull it off. My personality wouldn't match it at all.

I love almost everything Victorian: clothes, furniture (I have a lot of antiques in my house, some from the Victorian era). I love the 40's and 50's fashions; I wore a few of my mom's suit jackets with jeans in the 70's. 60's fashion wasn't too bad; But what I most remember are the paisley prints, which I still love. Not a fan of 70's fashion, and remember, I was there. Lol. When I think 70's, I think bell bottoms and heavy soled shoes and clogs. You already know I'm a big fan of 80's fashions. The 90's didn't leave much of an impression on me fashion wise. Wasn't that the time of the acid wash jean? Yikes! You listed many decades that you like, but what are your real faves? (Yes, I asked. I don't think the outfit is boyish, I primarily take issue with the sweater (if your looking for a girly look). A hoodie just isn't girly (IMO). Even a "boyfriend" sweater would be more girly (if you indeed wish to keep the look of a sweater over a tee). Just one woman's opinion. :)

Nooooo! I can't choose :( I love each and everyone because I have at least one item in my wardrobe inspired from each decade. I have an antique heart ring that I wear every day as well as a steampunk hot air balloon pendant, both from the early 1900s. I have a peace sign pendant and a dream-catcher necklace, as well as a DIY Flower Crown for whenever I feel like a hippie. I have custom, vintage Valentino cowboy boots from the 70s (80s?), I love to wear grunge clothing so I wear a lot of ripped jeans and oversized shirts and sweaters. I have a denim jacket that's a bit 80s (I saving for a new one), I have a pair of aviators from the 60s/70s, I have a late 80s/early 90s Aztec print cap from Forever 21, my Dad's old clothes from the 90s (which include leather jackets).

I'm sorry, I can't really choose a favorite. I love all! Oh! Of course, I have punk and goth influences from when I went through a punky phase when I was twelve. I also love futuristic clothing!

You certainly have eclectic taste, I'll give you that. And I am so jealous of your antique heart ring! Kudos on all your great vintage fashion finds. As for going to college at such a young age, CONTRATS! Do you like to write? I might recommend creative writing and graphic design/media arts, perhaps with the goal of working on a fashion magazine in the future? English lit is nice, but what career would you choose with an English lit degree? Just my thoughts; you know what is best for you. Best of luck!! :D

Thank you angelmama :) I'm very much aware of my eccentric and fabulous wardrobe (as well as my big ego but I really don't know why it's such a big deal though ;D) and I thank you for supporting me with my preferred choices! I've been writing poetry and short stories since I was young (I think I was 8), I plan on becoming an English teacher with freelance writing on the side if I choose to have Eng. lit. I have no plans with working in the fashion industry to be honest, this is just a hobby of mine though I do take fashion quite seriously at times. Dare to wear polka dots with ******s and I'll hunt you down (lol, just kidding... maybe) but, yeah, fashion doesn't have a place in my future career though it's nice to be recognized. But actually, I have tried to make some sort of way with fashion. I try submitting my designs to contests but I can never meet a deadline for the life of me! You're welcome doll. :) Neither your eclectic fashion sense nor your ego poses any problem for me. In fact, you quite remind me of myself when I was younger. I did some writing when I was a teenager; I also made most of my own clothes, often using Vogue designer patterns that were a bit far out for the time. If I used a simpler pattern, I always added my own design touches to the garment. I studied physics and math in college, but still made time for my fashion design classes. (Some people thought I was crazy. Lol.) After graduation, I became a writer (tech writer). Teaching is a very honest profession, and again, I wish you much luck. And best of luck getting that essay done!! :D

Perhaps I have gotten off track responding to other posts. but if this is about what we would like to see in our boutiques, I would love to see more designer-inspired fashions (and I do not mean the Louboutin pumps that most of us are tired of; although his new thigh-high boot is quite nice). Ok, for example, I'll throw out there the Michael Kors Hamilton bag. Or are we all sick of seeing it by now? I am just going through the newest Vogue magazine, and there are such great fashions in that issue! I shall take a few pics, and hope that I am able to post the same here. If not, in summary, I would love to see a few current designer-inspired fashions in our boutiques. Thank you TL. Hope you are listening!! :D

Ok, this is JUST an idea...

I was thinking that since we have the geisha outfits and that Lovely Luck (irish?) outfit....why not an indian saree? I personally am not indian and do not wear them, but I do think they are quite beautiful. Maybe we could do more clothes from other countries as well. Anyway, like I said... just a thought.

I think it's too late to suggest Halloween stuff, they don't have time to choose, design and program. I believe that they have ready the updates of the next 1-2 maybe 3 weeks. I have noticed that the suggestions we make are in the game about 3 months later or more.
Maybe I should start with the Valentine's stuff.:D
